Hymn 506 – Divine Father of all creatures
1:
Divine Father of all creatures,
Hearken Thou unto our pray’rs
With Thy grace and mercy fill us
Thy disciple we may be.
CHORUS:
Bless us Father we beseech Thee
Answer our supplications
Let us not go empty handed
Bless us with Thy goodness Lord.
2:
All those that sought Thee in thy days
No one empty handed went
As their necessity so great
They receiv’d blessing from Thee.
3:
Our kneeling ere one before Thee
But with different request came
The infirmities want reliefs
And the needy wants blessings.
4:
Give unto us, our request now
Lord, as we look unto Thee
That all who are here with joy say
Our requests are now fulfilled.

Hymn 508 – Shepherd Divine, Our Wants Relieve
1:
Shepherd divine, our wants relieve,
In this our evil day;
To all Thy tempted follow’rs give
The pow’r to watch and pray.
2:
Long as our fiery trials last,
Long as the cross we bear,
O let our souls on Thee be cast
In never ceasing prayer!
3:
Spirit of interceding grace,
Give us in faith to claim,
To wrestle till we see Thy face,
And know Thy hidden name.
4:
Till Thou Thy perfect love impart,
Till Thou Thyself bestow,
Be this the cry of every heart,
I will not let Thee go.
5:
I will not let Thee go, unless
Thou tell Thy name to me,
With all Thy great salvation bless,
And make me all like Thee!
6:
Then let me on the mountain top
Behold Thy open face
Where faith in sight is swallowed up
And pray’r in endless praise.
Thank You Jesus:

No matter how bad it is for you, it is worst for your aged parents in the village!
A friend told me her mum died of hunger last year! I wanted to laugh, but when I saw she was serious, I had to comport my self.
She said they kept making excuses:
“What does mommy need money for?”
Everything she wanted was in the farm, behind their house, she just needed to walk into the farm, harvest and cook.
“But Sis XYX and Bro. ABC sent her money the other day” Another justifiable excuse from one of her siblings.
“Mommy should be reasonable in her spending Ooo! Times are hard!” another sibling said.
When she died they discovered she had not cooked for the longest time. Her kitchen and utensils were covered in dust and cobwebs. Lizards’ feces littered the whole place. Not even a single grain of any food stuff was found in that house.
During the burial of a woman that died of hunger, people ate and drank, and her mother was survived by 12 Children.

I will never again be an emotional dumpsite for my friends! Thank GOD for good family members!
Now am literally messed up!
If there were awards for “THE BEST SHOULDERS TO LEAN ON” my shelves would have been filled with those awards. Everybody thinks I have solutions to their challeneges and it could be annoying and frustrating at times!
8 years ago, a friend was going through a messy divorce, he will call me from time to time, after a while the calls started becoming too frequent for comfort. Baba will call 10 times in a day to say absolutely nothing that made sense.
One day I was fed up “Oga wetin dey sup? Your calls are becoming too frequent and annoying. Men don call men 20 time a day to just check up on them? ”
I had to rant Oooo!
Bobo was quiet at the other end of the call, but his wheezy let me know he was there.
After long silence, he said in an emotional laden voice “Guy I am lonely……I don’t have anybody to talk to but you”
Damn! I was disarmed and I said “Sorry Boss! It has been trying times for you! You can call me whenever you want”
“Thanks Bros! You are a life saver” and I said “You’re welcome”
In all honesty, I thought my guy will move on after a couple of weeks, find another lady, fall in love and stop calling me, but one month turned to 6 months, 6 months turned to 2 years, two years turned to 8 years.
8 torturous years of listening to someone bla – away! How did I even surive this torture? I don’t even know.
Finally, last year October, Baba met a young lady, fell in love and hardly called again!
Intially I was very happy, I no longer have to switch off my phone everytime I want to sleep to avoid his calls.
Now my battery also last longer than before!
But I hate to admit this!
I MISSED THOSE ANNOYING CALLS now! I no go lie
I stare at my phone, expecting his calls, some other times I could hear his voice in my head.
Baba no dey reason me again!
It feels like some withdrawal syndrome!
I feel like plotting my own revenge!
Oga it is time for you to pick up my 20 calls a day for 8 years!
Never again will anyone heap his or her emotional baggage on me!
Thank You Jesus:

As you retire tonight, remember that your life is never hidden from God. Heaven is watching your actions, your words, your choices, and even the motives behind them.
People may not see what you do in secret, but God sees and keeps the records. Every act of kindness, every sacrifice, every obedience, every wrong choice, and every opportunity you ignored matters before Him.
“For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.”
— Ecclesiastes 12:14 (KJV)
Therefore, live each day with eternity in view. Let your private life agree with your public confession. Let your conduct honour the God who sees all things.
Before you sleep tonight, examine your heart. Where you have fallen short, ask God for mercy. Where you have done well, give Him the Glory. And tomorrow, rise determined to live a life that Heaven can approve.
May the Lord cleanse our hearts, order our steps, and help us live in such a way that our records before Heaven will speak of faithfulness, obedience, and righteousness.
Sleep peacefully under the watchful eyes of God.
Good night, and May GOD’s presence keep you! Amen.

MEMORY VERSE: They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks: – Joel 2:7 (KJV)
BIBLE TEXT: Joel 2:7-8 (KJV)
7 They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:
8 Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.
LESSON INTRODUCTION: Looking at Joel 2:7-8, A disciple of Christ must be disciplined, spiritually united, aligned and be obedient, staying in his or her God-given assigned position; an army of Christ is always in the right place; no weapon can stop them. God’s army is always charged and ready to enforce divine order.
LESSON AIM: To help members know reasons for following divine order and avoid self-government.
TEACHING OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, members should be able to:
Know what it takes to follow divine order.
Know the dangers of following self-government.
TEXT REVIEW: JOEL 2:7-8
a. God’s army is always charged and ready to enforce divine order. b. They scale the walls like picked and trained commandos. c. They never break ranks or crowd each other. d. Each is right in place, no weapon can stop them.
LESSON OUTLINE ONE: DIVINE ORDER
The word divine order means;
God’s perfect, established arrangement. Corinthians 14:40
Following God obediently in your steps, decisions and relationship, not human impulses.
No confusion. 1 Samuel 16: Samuel followed God’s order in making the choice of king for the Israelites.
Elimination of disorder, unnecessary struggles. 1 Corinthians 14:33
SIGNS OF OPERATING IN DIVINE ORDER
Experiencing inner peace in decisions and operations. David rejected Saul’s garment in fighting Goliath.
Everything will fall into place without force or human’s inputs. 2 Chronicles 20:1-20.
Divine direction step-by-step.
Relationships aligning with destiny. Esther followed Mordecai’s instructions; she later got divine alignment.
LESSON OUTLINE TWO: AVOID SELF-GOVERNMENT
Ruling your own life by your wisdom, desires and opinions instead of submitting to God’s authority, God’s Word and the Holy Spirit is dangerous.
Doing what is right in your own eyes. Judges 21:25, can bring disconnection from God’s guidance; Proverbs 14:12, loss of divine protection, opening the door to temptation e.g Samson.
Self-government can also lead to poor decision-making and regret and easy target to the enemy, therefore desist from it and be in God’s favourite agenda.
SUMMARY: Self-government for a believer means running your life without God, God’s army moves in discipline, unity and divine order.
CONCLUSION: Following divine order brings peace, not anxiety, direction not confusion, progress not stagnation. It helps to avoid mistakes and wasted seasons and positions one for God’s blessings and favour.
PRAYER POINTS:
Father, remove every spirit of pride and rebellion from my heart, and give me a submissive spirit.
Lord, help Daddy & Mummy GO to remain in their assigned position.
Father, keep me away from distractions that can cause me to break ranks.
Lord, give me grace to honour and submit to godly authority without murmuring.
Father, align my steps, my decisions, and my actions with Your divine arrangement.
Thank You Jesus:
