DO NOT BE CONFORMED TO THIS WORLD BUT BE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2)

A lot of struggles go on in the mind of a man on a daily basis. The struggles come in form of negative thoughts and suggestions which the devil use to introduce confusion, doubts and ultimately lure his victims into committing sin.

In Ephesians 6:17, Apostle Paul recommends “The Helmet Of Salvation”, which symbolizes a protection of our minds from the onslaughts of the devil.

The practical ways by which we can put on the helmet of salvation is by engaging in prayers, worship, listening to Christian music and teachings, reading and meditating on the scriptures and fellowshipping with other believers.

We are admonished in Romans 12:2 not to “conform to this word, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

A fine Christian sister was afflicted with depression after she suffered some bouts of sicknesses.

At some point she began to hear strange voices and suggestions came up in her mind for her to commit suicide! A minister of God advised her to always fill her mind with the Word of God and to pray at all time in the Spirit. Not before long, she snapped out of the depression and was made whole!

Christians who are not filling their minds with the Word of God are like warriors going out into battle without their weapons of warfare.
