Christ Our Living Hope!

2 Corinthians 4:16–18.

Therefore We Do Not Lose Heart.  Even Though Our Outer Man Is Perishing, Yet The Inward Man Is Being Renewed Day By Day.  For Our Light Affliction, Which Is But For A Moment, Is Working For Us A Far More Exceeding And Eternal Weight Of Glory, While We Do Not Look At The Things Which Are Seen, But At The Things Which Are Not Seen.   For The Things Which Are Seen Are Temporary, But The Things Which Are Not Seen Are Eternal.

Prayer:

We Are Full Of Thanksgiving, Knowing You Are Working To Help Us Look Towards Your Great And Eternal Glory.  You Make It Possible For Us To See Beyond Our Own Limitations – While Granting Us All The Strength We Will Ever Need To Follow You.

So We Choose Today To Not Give Up – Or Be Discouraged.  We Are Agreeing As One Voice To Set Our Focus On You.  To This End We Give You Permission O LORD To Sift Us, Because We Know The End Result Will Be A Fully Functioning And God-Honouring Person – Someone Who Willingly Lives A Significant Life.

Because We Love You, We Ask You To Discipline Us As Needed – For Your Own Purposes.  We Know This Is The Path To Transformation And Godliness – And It Is That Path We Choose To Walk!  Thank You That Your Holy Spirit – Through His Grace – Will Accomplish Our Transformation And Make Us Complete.

Even Though The World Around Us May Look Bleak, It Is Also True That You Give Us Your Eyes To See With, So We Can See Beyond The Boulders In Our Path.  You Make It Possible For Us To Press Into Your Eternal Realities So We Can Walk Each Day In Freedom And Peace.

We Choose Today To Build Our Lives On The Kingdom That Cannot Be Shaken.   We Have Your Assurance That Not Only Will We Survive What Lies Ahead – But We Will Prosper And Grow In The Middle Of It.

Help Us To Receive And Understand Your Promises O LORD, So We Can Be Fully Prepared As We Get Closer To The End Of This Age.  We Recognize Our Need For Your Help To Keep Pressing Ahead – Functioning When It Looks Impossible – Always Filled With Joy, In The Knowledge That You Have Chosen Us For “Just Such A Time As This.”

Thank You That Because We Abide In You Lord, You Have Made It Possible For Us To Represent Your Character To A World In Need.  You Are True Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness And Self-Control.  That Is Your Nature – And So It Should Be With Us!

Help Us To Soak In This Truth, So That No Worry, Fears Or Anxieties Can Come Near Us.  We Know These Things Can Drive Us Far Away From The Center Of Your Will.  We Choose Instead To Shut Closed The “Gates Of Hell” And Ask The God Of Peace To Crush Satan Under His Feet.”

We Rejoice In You Jesus, And Claim Together That “We Will Be Anxious For Nothing, But In Everything By Prayer And Supplication With Thanksgiving Let Our Requests Be Made Known To Our God.” Amen!

There Is No Greater Barometer For Transformation Than Keeping Our Eyes On The Things Of God.  We Are, In Fact, Called To Live By The Powers Of The Age To Come – Now – And Grow In Them.  A Good Question To Ask Is “Are You Closer To Jesus Than You Were Last Year?”  You Should Be Growing In All The Fruit Of The Spirit, So You Can Represent Him To The World Around You.  By Keeping Focused On The Things That Are Eternal, You Will Build Your Life On The Things That Cannot Be Shaken.  When You Do This, You Will Grow And Prosper, No Matter What The Circumstances That Surround You.  Remember, Our Basic Calling Is To Be Like Jesus So That We Can Do The Works That He Did.  As His Glory Is Formed In His People, We Will Become Known For Having His Presence With Us.  This Is Contagious!  At The End Of The Age God Will Have A Body, Fully Functional For His Purposes, Through Whom He Will Be Seen.  If God Is Lifted Up By Your Witness He Will Draw People To Himself.  You Get To Be A Part Of It.  Rejoice!

May God Bless Nigeria, America And Israel And Take Care Of Us; May God Make His Face Shine Upon Us, And Be Gracious To Us; May The Lord Lift Up His Countenance Upon Us, And Give Us Peace, In Jesus Christ Name, We Pray! Amen!

May The Grace The Lord Jesus Christ, And The Love Of God, And The Fellowship Of The Holy Spirit Be With You All. Amen!
