And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

John 16:23.

If my wife or daughters ask me for something, I say, “You can have whatever is in my ability to give you.” I say this because I love them and want to give to them. For example, when one of my daughters was very young, she found a toy bear in a store at the mall. She picked it up, put it down, walked away, and then came back and picked it up again. The third time she did this, she looked at me. Of course I bought it for her! Jesus loves us and wants to give us “whatsoever [we] shall ask” in Jesus’ name!
