How Do You Live In God’s Love?

“This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an

atoning sacrifice for our sins.”

-1 John 4:10.

The church is often criticized for hypocrisy, for not loving others, when in fact

those hypocrites and non-loving people are not actually Christians; they are pretenders.

In truth, the most defining rule for what it means to be a Christian means to love.

There are incredible ramifications from knowing that God is love and whoever loves

others knows God. It’s just incredible.

This simply means that anyone who loves God and loves his or her neighbour is obeying

the law perfectly. Jesus actually says that multiple times. He says, “Love your

neighbour as yourself. Love your Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength,

and love your neighbour as yourself, for this sums up the law in the prophets.” Later

He says, “Do unto others what you would have them do unto you,” essentially love

them. He says it again, that “Anyone who loves is born of God and knows God, and

whoever lives in love, lives in God and God in them.”

Prayer: Dear Lord, I only desire to live in You, to live in Your love and then share
