Are You Wrongly Positioned! Don’t Be In The Wrong Place
“The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead”. Proverb 21:16 KJV.
Abraham had to be repositioned. The Lord called him to leave the familiar terrain. You see, it is not easy to leave a familiar place for an unknown place. At times you think of the difficulties and challenges; you think of all the pressure it will bring on you and you just want to say: Look, it doesn’t matter; I can as well remain where I am. Beloved, it matters, As a Christian it is important for you to ensure that you are not wrongly positioned. If you are, be rest assured that the enemy will shoot at you. And you will have no covering to protect yourself against him.
In the days of the Judges, according to the scriptures, “… Every man did that which was right in his own eyes” (Judges 21:25 KJV). That means it can be right in your own eyes but not right in the eyes of God. It is possible for a thing or even a place to be right in your own eyes but wrong in God’s eyes. We must strive to do what is right in God’s eyes. That is the key to ensuring that you are not wrongly positioned. In Ruth 1:1, the Bible tells us of a certain man of Bethlehem-Judah who went to sojourn in the country of Moab because of famine. Moab was a product of an incestuous relationship and God frowns at that. They left a land of bread and honey, and came to Moab where God had told them not to be. The Scripture makes it clear that they were not passing through, they lived there. That was wrong positioning!
Now notice the result. The man (Elimelech) died in Moab. His two sons- Mahlon and Chilon also died in Moab. They were destroyed by the enemy because they were in a wrong place. That will not be your portion in Jesus name. I challenge you today to make up your mind to always remain where God has instructed you to be and his plans and purposes will continually be fulfilled in your life.
