I Am So Quick To Come To God In Times Of Need

Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! – (Psalm 107:21)

How like us to forget to give thanks. We are so quick to come to God in times of need. We pray, “Lord, get me out of this” or “Lord intervene” or “Lord, provide for me.” We call on the Lord and then when He answers, we don’t offer up a word of thanks.

Worse yet is when we chalk it up to dumb luck. It reminds me of the guy who was on the roof of a three-story house, nailing down a loose shingle. Suddenly he lost his footing and began to slide. Knowing he was about to fall to his death, he cried out to God, praying, “Help me! Save me! God, don’t let me die! God, do something! Save me!”

Then, as he was nearing the edge of the roof, his belt loop suddenly caught on a nail, which stopped him. This allowed him to grab hold and then climb back up again. Reaching safety, he called out, “It’s okay, God! I got caught on a nail!”

That is how we are sometimes. We say, “Oh, Lord, provide for me. I have this financial need. Lord, You’ve got to come through for me.”

Then the next day, a rebate check for the exact amount arrives in the mail. “It’s okay, Lord,” we say. “The rebate check showed up.”

Do we ever stop and think, however, that God has provided that for us?

Are you giving God the glory for what He has done? We are so quick to ask for His help. But let’s remember to give Him the praise when He comes through. We should be as definite in returning thanks as we are in requesting help. Far too often we call on God in times of crisis, but we don’t follow through with our thanks.

God Wants To Bless Me Big Time

Luke 5:4
When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”

God wants to bless you—big-time! It was for this reason that He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” The deep is where you will find a whole lot of fish. You won’t find them near the shore in shallow waters. But to launch out into the deep is to move away from the comfort of the shoreline.

My friend, God wants you to break away from your comfort zone and step out in faith to do what He has put in your heart. It may be something simple, but which you have never done before or only dreamt of, like attending a care group. A church member did just that and found love. Today, she is happily married.

Now, our Lord Jesus who said, “Launch out into the deep…” also said, “…let down your nets for a catch.” Notice that He used the plural “nets” and not the singular “net”. Beloved, God wants to give you more than what you need. His dream for you is bigger than anything you can ever dream of. Dream big and God will exceed your dream because He delights in giving you exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or think. (Ephesians 3:20)

Another church member who was formerly working for someone else had wanted to start his own company. When praying with him, I received a word from the Lord for him to launch out on his own. When he did that, he made a handsome profit at the end of the first month alone! Today, he has more than one company and his businesses are flourishing. God is blessing him beyond his wildest dreams!

Beloved, God wants to bless you beyond your wildest dreams. He did it for Simon who was astonished at the size of the catch of fish. (Luke 5:9) But it was not until Simon launched out into the deep that he ended up with the net-breaking, boat-sinking load of fish. (Luke 5:6–7) You, too, will be astonished at your catch when you step out of your comfort zone and launch out into the deep with the Lord!

We Have The Authority In Christ Jesus

We Have The Authority In Christ Jesus

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils “.

Mark 16:17 (KJV)

 

By reason of the authority we have in Christ, every believer can cast out devils. Now the question is, do you run from devils? After you’ve slept at night and had some bad dreams, how do you react? How do you behave? As for demonic activities, you can’t stop them. You can’t stop a bird from perching over your head, but you sure can stop it from building a nest on your head.

As a believer, you have the ability to deal with the activities of the devil. Jesus has already said it. And He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Therefore, you have no business allowing the powers of darkness to intimidate you. It is wrong. If anyone is supposed to quit it is not you. Others should be afraid of us because we have been authorised by Christ to cast out devils. We must understand that we have authority in Christ.

We are not playing religion. It is real and God means exactly what He says: “[. . .] they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” (Mark 16:18, KJV). Do you understand what this means? It is wrong for someone to go to church sick and come back with sickness. Jesus said we will lay hands on the sick. He didn’t say that bishops would lay hands on the sick. He was talking about the believer.

Now, how can you tell whether this thing Jesus is saying is true or not? The only way to find out is to practice it. Go out there and do it. Do it, and don’t wonder in your mind whether it will work or not. The Lord is the One who promised that you could do this. And He does not lie. Do what He said. This is the same thing Mary said to the people in John 2:5, “…….Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it” (KJV). This is how you can partake of the miracles of God. This is how to become a miracle worker. Do what you have read in the Bible.

Pastor T.B Joshua Along With His Engineers Will Be Arraigned Today In Court

Pastor T.B Joshua along with some engineers will be arraigned today November 30th before a Lagos State High Court in Ikeja over the death of 116 people in the Synagogue Church of all Nations building collapse which occurred in September 2014.

Joshua and his engineers are expected to be arraigned before Justice Lawal Akapo according to a statement by the Deputy Director, Public Affairs of the Lagos State Ministry of Justice, Bola Akingbade.

The engineers, Oladele Ogundeji and Akinbela Fatiregun, had last year filed a suit asking a court to stop the police from inviting, arresting or prosecuting them over the death of the 116 victims but a Coroner Inquest set up by the Lagos state government indicted the engineers and recommended them for investigation and prosecution for criminal negligence.

Introduction:
In Psalm 24:1 the Bible tells us that, “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.”
He owns everything and He doesn’t need anything from men except thanksgiving and praise. Praise means uplifting the name of God and giving Him all the glory.

Why do we need to praise the Lord?

1. Praise brings down the glory of God
Psalm 89:1
“I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.”

2. It is God’s command.

3. God inhabits the praise of His people.
1 Samuel 2:2
“There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.”

4. Praise provokes direct blessings from God.

3. I break and loose myself from every form of demonic bewitching, in the name of Jesus.
4. Every gate opened to the enemy by my foundation, be closed forever with the blood of Jesus.
5. Every evil imagination against me, wither from the source, in the name of Jesus.
6. All those laughing me to scorn shall witness my testimony, in the name of Jesus.
7. All the destructive plan of the enemies aimed at pulling me down, blow up in their faces, in the name of Jesus.
8. My point of ridicules, be converted to sources of miracle, in the name of Jesus.
9. All powers sponsoring evil decisions against me, be disgraced, in the name of Jesus.
10. Stubborn strongman delegated against me, fall down to the ground and become impotent, in the name of Jesus.
11. Strongholds of every spirit of Korah, Dathan and Abiram militating against me, be smashed to pieces, in the name of Jesus.
12. Every spirit of Balaam hired to curse me, fall after the order of Balaam, in the name of Jesus.
13. Every spirit of Sanballat and Tobiah planning evil against me, receive the stones of fire, in the name of Jesus.
14. Spirits of stubborn pursuers, begin to pursue yourselves, in the name of Jesus.
15. Every spirit of Herod, be disgraced, in the name of Jesus.
16. Every spirit of Goliath, receive the stones of fire, in the name of Jesus.
17. Every spirit of Pharaoh, fall into the Red Sea of your own making, in the name of Jesus.
18. All satanic manipulations aimed at changing my destiny, be frustrated, in the name of Jesus.
19. All unprofitable broadcasters of my goodness, be silenced, in the name of Jesus.
20. All leaking bags and pockets, be sealed up, in the name of Jesus.
21. All evil monitoring eyes fashioned against, me receive blindness, in the name of Jesus.
22. Every evil effect of any strange touch, be removed from my life, in the name of Jesus.
23. I command all demonic reverse gears installed to hinder my progress to be roasted, in the name of Jesus.
24. Any evil sleep undertaken to harm me, be converted to dead sleep, in the name of Jesus.
25. All weapons and devices of the oppressors and tormentors, be rendered impotent, in the name of Jesus.
26. Fire of God, destroy the evil power operating spiritual vehicles against me, in the name of Jesus.
27. All evil advices given against my favour, crash and disintegrate, in the name of Jesus.
28. Wind, sun and moon, run contrary to every demonic presence in my environment, in the name of Jesus.
29. O you devourers, vanish from my labour, in the name of Jesus.
30. Every evil tree planted by fear in my life, dry up from the roots, in the name of Jesus.
31. I cancel all the enchantments, curses and spells that are against me, in the name of Jesus.
32. All iron-like curses, break, in the name of Jesus.
33. Divine tongues of fire, roast evil tongues that are against me, in the name of Jesus.
34. O God arise in Your power and confuse my close oppressors, in the name of Jesus.
35. O Lord, plant Your warring angels around me to dismantle and destroy the evil stronghold of my household witchcraft.
36. Let my enemies make mistakes that would advance my course, in the name of Jesus.
37. O thou that troubleth the Israel of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, the God of Elijah shall trouble you today.

Choose Wisely, Move Quickly, And You Can Enjoy The Best That God Has

John 15:11-12, “These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.” (KJV)

The story that is commonly referred to as the “Prodigal Son,” is a prefect example of why delayed decisions create great stress and potential destruction.

When this young man decided to leave his father, taking his inheritance with him, he had no idea what his future would hold. He found out quickly…good times do not last forever. After running out of money, no friends in sight, and delaying his decision to return home, he suffered unnecessarily.

The father had been waiting on him from the moment he departed. He had been waiting for his return but the young man continued to delay, feeling unworthy and unaccepted. Once he came to the end of himself and rose from his desperate condition, he went to the father and the father was running to meet him.

Restoration manifested and the boy’s life was intact and he had a future. Do not delay righteous decisions. Choose wisely, move quickly, and you can enjoy the best that God has.

God Loves Me, And He Is Always Looking Out For My Eternal Benefit

For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! – (2 Corinthians 4:17)

To give thanks, we must realize as Christians that God is in control of all circumstances that surround our lives, both good and bad.

In 2 Corinthians 4:17–18 we are told, “For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.”

The apostle Paul also wrote, “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love” (Romans 8:38). God loves you, and He is always looking out for your eternal benefit. God is wiser than we are. And if He tells us to not do something, He does so for good reason.

Now, the Devil doesn’t want you to believe that. He would whisper in your ear, “God hates you. God wants to ruin your life. All those rules in the Bible are just there to make life miserable. You Christians serve an oppressive God who doesn’t want you to have any fun.”

What a bunch of nonsense. I’ve lived apart from Christ. I’ve had the so-called fun this world has to offer, and it wasn’t fun at all. I’ve also found that a life with Christ is a life of fulfillment and purpose.

We must realize that God loves us and is always looking out for our eternal benefit, even if what we are presently going through is difficult.

“So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, ‘Father, I thank you that you have heard me.’” – John 11:41

Jesus had a friend named Lazarus who died of an illness. By the time Jesus arrived at the home of Lazarus’s grieving sisters, Mary and Martha, Lazarus had been dead for four days, and his body was sealed in a tomb with a large, heavy stone.

Jesus did something that puzzled and then astonished the mourners. He asked for the stone to be rolled away, and He thanked His Father for hearing His prayer. Then Jesus commanded Lazarus to come out, and he did—wrapped in grave clothes, but alive as the day he was born!

Jesus gave thanks before God raised Lazarus from the dead, but sometimes you and I get things turned around. We pray for those who are in prison, spiritually dead, to turn away from hard-heartedness and find new life, but we only give thanks after we have seen them change. We pray for families who grieve the loss of their loved ones to a prison sentence, but we only give thanks after they are healed and restored. We beseech God for the passage of restorative criminal-justice reform, but we only give thanks after new laws are enacted.

Jesus’ thanksgiving wasn’t just a token of gratitude to God; it prepared the way for miracles that would follow. Today, I challenge us all to follow Jesus’ model. Let’s give thanks before we see the miracles of resurrection, transformation, and healing. Let’s praise Him for hearing us all the time, and then watch with expectation for Him to bring the spiritually dead to new life through His Son.

God Will Make My Way Prosperous And Give Me Good Success

But Ye Are A Chosen Generation, A Royal Priesthood, An Holy Nation, A Peculiar People; That Ye Should Shew Forth The Praises Of Him Who Hath Called You Out Of Darkness Into His Marvellous Light;

God Calls Us “A Royal Priesthood”. This Means That We Are Kings As Well As Priests Under The King-Priesthood Of Jesus Christ. This Has Never Happened Before In The History Of God’s People. In The Old Testament, Kings And Priests Were Two Distinct Groups Of People. You Were Either A King Or Priest, But Not Both At The Same Time.

Today, Because We Are In Christ, We Are King-Priests—A Royal Priesthood. This Means That We Have A Double Portion Of Speaking Power Because As Kings, “Where The Word Of A King Is, There Is Power” (Ecclesiastes 8:4), And As Priests, “By Their Word Every Controversy And Every Assault Shall Be Settled”. (Deuteronomy 21:5)

So If You Are A Christian Businessman, You Will Have An Edge Over Worldly Businessmen. What You Say About Your Business Deals Will Come To Pass. And If You Are Falsely Accused, Know That By Your Very Word, Every Controversy And Every Assault Will Be Settled!

And As A King-Priest Parent, When You Bless Your Children, Your Words Have The Power To Set In Motion Supernatural Events Which Will Bring Them Into God’s Abundance And Super Abounding Grace. And There Will Be Such A Courage And Resilience About Them That It Will Empower Them To Win The Fights Of Life!

When The Devil Comes To You And Says That You Will Die Young Because Your Father And Grandfather Died Young, Or That You Will Never Be Successful Because You Are Not Well-Educated, You Must Remember That The Devil Is Neither A King Nor A Priest. There Is No Power In His Words. But There Is Power In Yours Because You Are A King-Priest In Christ!

So Instead Of Agreeing With Him, Believe And Declare, “I Will Not Die Young. With Long Life He Will Satisfy Me And Show Me His Salvation!” Say, “The Lord Will Make My Way Prosperous And Give Me Good Success!” Use Your Double Portion Of Speaking Power And See These Blessings Come To Pass!

God Did Not Save You To Be A Disgrace

“Be Careful For Nothing; But In Everything By Prayer And Supplication With Thanksgiving Let Your Requests Be Made Known Unto God.”

Philippians 4:6 (KJV)

The Children Of Israel Were Supernaturally Brought Out Of Egypt By The Mighty And Outstretched Hand Of God. God Is Always Doing Something Even If He Is Not Speaking. When Heaven Appears To Be Brass And The Earth Iron, There Is Still Something Moving In The Circumstances Of Your Life. He Is Not Leaving You, For He Said, “I Will Not Leave You Or Forsake You.” He Is With You Until The End Of The World. God Always Brings You Out To Bring You In. He Didn’t Save You To Be A Disgrace. He Didn’t Save You So That You Would Become A Question Mark Or A Reproach. He Did Not Save You For People To Mock You. God Has Prepared A Great Destiny For You; You Will Fulfil It. Do Not Worry Even If It Seems Like Things Are Not Working. God Can Change Where You Are Overnight! Something Is About To Happen In Your Life. The Beauty Of It Is That When God Gets To Your Case A Miracle Will Take Place. He Will Hasten To Restore The Wasted Years. Your Salvation Will Not End Without You Fulfilling Your Destiny.

Jesus, Despite The Raging Of The Storm, Was Not Anxious. Everything Jesus Did Was A Lesson In And Of Itself. Remember That He Stripped Himself Of The Honour And Glory To Be Totally Human. He Slept While His Disciples Were Anxious. You Should Sleep, Because You Can’t Work Out Anything By Yourself. Let God Do The Work.

He Knows What You Are Going Through; Even Our High Priests Can Be Touched With The Feeling Of Our Infirmities And Can Be Tempted Like We Are. This Is Why Jesus Came. He Came Down To Sit Where You Sit So That He Would Be Qualified To Die On Your Behalf. He Couldn’t Have Stayed Comfortably In Heaven And Told Us How To Overcome Temptation, Anxiety, And Pressure In An Effective Manner. You Can’t Understand How Others Feel Until You Sit Where They Do. So He Came And Sat Where We Sat And Felt What We Felt.

Enough Of The Anxiety! Your Hands Cannot Be Where God’s Hands Are At The Same Time. He’ll Never Share His Glory With Another. Your Part Is To Carry Out Every Instruction He Gives You. Leave Everything In His Hands.

Power Of God. Dunamis

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth”

Jesus Said You Shall Receive Power After The Holy Ghost Is Come Upon You. In The Greek Rendering, The Word Translated “Power” Is ‘Dunamis’. So What Jesus Actually Said Was “And You Shall Receive Dunamis After That The Holy Ghost Is Come Upon You.” What Is Dunamis? It’s A Special Kind Of Power. It’s Inherent Power That Functions Like A Dynamo. The Word “Dynamo” Comes From A Greek Word “Dunamis” That’s Where The English Word “Dynamite” A Powerful Explosive, Is Derived From As Well. Knowing How A Dynamo Functions Will Help Us Understand What Dunamis Is. That Will In Turn Tell Us What Jesus Meant When He Said, “Ye Shall Receive Dunamis.”

A Dynamo Is A Special Kind Of Machine. You Get It Started Mechanically, Either By Turning A Knob Or Pushing A Button. When It Starts, It Produces Electrical Power And Then Converts Some Of That Electrical Power Back Into Mechanical Power To Cause The Machine To Go On And Produce More Electrical Power. It Doesn’t Need Help From Anywhere; It’s A Self-Converter! It Has In-Built Ability To Convert Mechanical Power To Electrical Power And Vice Versa. It Just Keep Going On Without Any External Help. So When Jesus Said, “You Shall Receive Dunamis” He Meant, “You Shall Receive Inherent Power Of God That Functions Like Dynamo!” That’s What You Got When You Receive The Holy Spirit. You Receive The Inherent Dynamic Ability Of God To Cause Changes. That Power Is Independent Of Any Other Power But God.

This Power Resides In You Today! You May Have Been Told That You Were Born An Asthmatic; It Doesn’t Make Any Difference Now, Because You Can Change It! Maybe You Were Born With A Deformed Heart, It Doesn’t Matter Anymore. Now That You’re Born Again And You Have The Holy Spirit In You, You Can Change Anything As You Activate That Power Within You.

Confession:
I Have Within Me The Power Of The Most High God! I Have The Inherent Dynamic Ability To Cause Changes. I Declare That I Am Able To Change Every Negative Situation, Because I Recognize The Inherent Power Of God That’s At Work In Me; I Am Full Of God’s Might And The Excellency Of This Power Is Indeed Of God!

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
