For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Another way to show God that you love Him is to give to Him. You can give without loving but you cannot love without giving. Today, there are many people giving without loving. Once love is there, I mean Agape, God’s kind of love; you want to give at any cost.

When I say give, please disabuse your mind of only money, even though money is part of it. You can give your time, a smile, a handshake, a call, text messages, a compliment, your lunch, a bottle of water etc. There is always something you can give. Particularly in this festive season, you can look for families who are struggling to even have one meal on Christmas day and give them food. You can look for children who are less privileged and buy Christmas clothes for them. You can decide to put smiles on the faces of people during this season. Remember, the way to show your love for God is by loving the man or woman that you can see physically.

God is never moved by mere confessions of love. In John 21:16-17, Jesus said to Peter, if you love me, feed my sheep. In 1 John 3:16-18; the Bible says you cannot refuse your brother in need, even when you can meet the need, and still say you love that person. In other words, God is saying I am not satisfied with the mere profession of love. I want action.

Are you aware that some have gone past ordinary giving; yet some others are still waiting for someone to come and beg them to give tithes and a good offering? How can you be in a position to give God N100 each week and there you are giving Him N0.50. If God has blessed you, don’t be stingy, be a blessing to others.

Child of God, decide that for the rest of your life here on earth, you will be a blessing to other people. That way, you will be showing God how much you love Him.
