One of the devil’s strategies is to magnify the challenges you are facing so that you lose sight of God’s promises. Beloved, I came your way today to tell you to lay hold on the promises. You may be experiencing a season of contradictions but don’t give up. Hold on to His word. He that has spoken is able to bring anything to pass. You will not be denied.

Many may have seen you without hope, but from the ashes of failure and hopelessness God will show you before them all. The same people who saw you in a sorry state will see you with your testimony. This is your time of prophetic help. God is coming back to visit you. You will experience a new beginning. The person or the people whom God has sent to help you need not be your friends; they might not even like your face, but they will help you because God has commissioned them to do so. You will shine your light. You will manifest, and your dreams will come true.

I therefore challenge you today to refuse to be refused. Push back the table, hold on to the horn of the altar, and tell the devil, eyeball to eyeball, “Enough is enough.” You have all that it takes to enforce the victory that Jesus wrought on the cross. It is the dawn of a new day. The stagnation, delay, postponement, and indeed anything else that has held you bound are broken today. There is a canopy of glory above you. The delay is over. You are about to change location. It has started to rain for the drought is over!

When God Perfects What He Is Doing Inside Of Me, The World Will Be Forced To Recognise Me

Philippians_1-6-1: Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. God Is Good

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ”. Philippians 1:6 (KJV)

The reason we sometimes find it difficult to believe in God is because we are so used to this natural life that we find it difficult to understand something that is going on inside of us. The world works from the outside, but God works from the inside. God works from the inside in order to catch the devil unawares. The devil disregards you because he knows your weaknesses, your parents, and your background. But before he realises it, you will suddenly be in front of him when you are with God.

You are not like the world. God will not deal with you in the same way that He deals with the world. He is ready for you to jump the queue in order to get to the front. God will pull you from the back to the front, because His hand is upon your life. If you find this difficult to believe, ask David. Ask Esther and ask Joseph.

The Bible is filled with people who were “nobody”, but God brought them from the backend to the front line. It may not seem like it now, and you may not have anything now, but something is happening to you inside.

When God perfects what He is doing inside you, the world will be forced to recognise you. The world will hear from you. You will sing a new song. The same people who once mocked and asked, “Where is your God?” will see His goodness in your life. And they will follow you to Him. Your enemies will eat their words in every area of your life. You shall be celebrated in Jesus’ name where you were once despised.

The year 2016 is coming and with it many prophecies from respected men of God.
The founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has unveiled his prophecies for coming year in an interview with the Sun News.

Nigeria is currently facing many challenges. The deadly Boko Haram insurgency that Buhari’s government is said to have crushed, the upsurge in pro-Biafra agitation, corruption and many other political battles.

Read below the top 14 prophecies from the prominent cleric:

Nigerians should not expect President Muhammadu Buhari to achieve much in the anti-corruption war as the whole effort will backfire as several notable people who are close to him will be indicted and thereby tie his hands such that he will not make progress.
Buhari’s administration will have more problems by removing the oil subsidy. If care is not taken, we are going to buy fuel at N200 per litre. The removal of oil subsidy will spur militant youths to damage pipelines to steal products for sale.
Nigeria army will not be able to defeat Boko Haram if the air force is not fully involved. They can only defeat the insurgents with combined air and ground assaults and using satellites to target their leaders.
People in the south west and south south must be careful because the Boko Haram will infiltrate these areas. The insurgents will still carry out more suicide bomb attacks in Plateau and Abuja.
If the All Progressives Congress is not careful, the party will crack. Also if the PDP does not go back to beg the founding fathers, the party may not recover, because some PDP governors will flee to the APC.
A northern party will emerge. CPC is not yet over. A group from the north will recreate the CPC with a northern person in charge. APC as it is now will have problems if they are not careful. APC and PDP need a lot of prayers.
More political parties will be registered. Not all House of Assembly speakers will finish their terms. It is only prayers that will make the Taraba woman to go back to that seat.
Seriake Dickson has to pray very well to retain his seat.
The Halliburton case will come up again.
In probing Jonathan, Buhari will end up shooting himself in the leg. What I mean by that is that as he tries to trouble Jonathan, it will cause problems. He will only be able to hit corruption, but will not make much impact. In the process of the corruption battle, some people who are close to Buhari will be indicted. That is why I said that Buhari will shoot himself in the leg.
Buhari will make efforts to make Nigeria better, but his efforts will be frustrated by a cabal in his government. He will step on many toes, but that would frustrate his administration the more.
Buhari must not overlook Biafra. He should dialogue with them. He must not hold dialogue with Boko Haram. If he does it, he will destroy his administration. Nigeria will face a lot of agitations by different groups. His government should not see these predictions as doom messages, but as a warning and follow the advice appropriately.
NFF will have crisis. If our club sides play very well they might win a cup. They have to be motivated or they might not perform well. Government efforts to alleviate poverty will not be easy, fruitful. I see a lot of crises: Kanuri-Fulani crisis, Hausa-Fulani crisis. We should pray against massive fish poisoning in the river.
Atiku should seek the face of God very well because some people want to create trouble around him and destabilize his political machinery.

Nothing Can Be Accomplished Without God’s Word

John_1-1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God

“He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”

Psalm 107:20 (KJV)

God never starts anything without His word. Anything that God wants to do on earth, the first thing he does is to send His word across. Once He sent out His word, it is as good as done. You don’t have any reason to doubt or fear. Nothing can be accomplished without God’s word.

The Bible tells us that: “In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. (2) the same was in the beginning with God (3) All things were made by him and without Him was not anything made that was made. (4) In him was life and the life was the light of men (5) And the light shineth in darkness and the darkness comprehendeth not…….(14) And the word was made flesh” (John 1:1-5; 14, KJV). The word became flesh and dwelt among us. It became evident. We therefore need to pay close attention to God’s word because it will always come to pass.

One thing every believer must understand about the word of God is the fact that before He speaks or sends any word concerning you, He has already completed it in the spirit. The time He sent it is not when it was done. “Forever O lord, thy word is settled in heaven” (Psalm 119:89, KJV). His word has been settled in heaven. It is already guaranteed. It can never fail because it has already been settled in the spirit realm before God sent it forth.

Prophet Isaiah puts it succinctly when he states that God declares “the end from the beginning” (Isaiah 46:10, KJV). I know many people may find this difficult to understand. Now look at it this way: if you want to write a book you start from the Foreword, Preface, Introduction, then comes chapter 1, 2,3,4 etc. but that is not how God works. God begins from the conclusion.

Child of God, rejoice because your victory is already concluded and you will surely testify.

I Will Be Celebrated. There Is No Sin Strong Enough To Stop Me

Psalms_118-24: This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it

” ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'”

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

I have an assurance and witness from Heaven that you will not be disappointed. No matter the challenge you are passing through right now; in your business; in your marriage; in your job or academics; I know you will not be disappointed. I don’t care how tough it is for you right now, your celebration is on the way. Yes the year is practically drawing to a close; I prophesy over your life that you will celebrate.

That is why I am challenging you today to make plans for your celebration because your testimony is coming soonest; even sooner than you expect. What God has already done, you will not be able to exhaust for eternity. He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that you ask or think.

Do you know that your future is bright? Yes, you have a colourful destiny. God is not through with you yet. I serve a notice to the devil and his cohorts. What you have seen so far is nothing compared to what is coming your way. Something heavy is coming to you. You are more than a conqueror. That sickness will not kill you. No challenge will stop you. There is no sin strong enough to stop you. No bondage is strong enough to hold you. Once it passes through the blood, it cannot survive anymore.

Make plans for your celebration. The enemy may have said that you cannot have a child but I see you dedicating children. He may have said that you will not survive that sickness. Let me announce to him that that sickness will not see your end; you will see the end of that sickness. You cannot end the way you are now. God will come through for you.

I like Job. Even when things were so tough for him, he still said in Job 14:14 that he will wait all the days of his life until his change comes. In other words, he knew his change will come. He was not bothered about what the enemy was doing. Job had it settled in his heart that his change would come.

Do you know that your change will come? If you do, then get ready; make plans for your celebration because your testimony is here. I bless you today.

I Am Authorised To Reign In This Life Through Jesus Christ

Romans_5-17: For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ

The text today tells you that because you are now born again, you are authorised to reign in this life through Jesus Christ. This is good news. Today marks the end of slavery to anything that confronts you in life. As you look back at the year that is drawing to a close, you might see many things that seem to challenge your faith. You might notice many areas where it looked like you failed. But beloved, don’t let the devil use that to rob you of the greater year ahead of you. The fact still remains that you are born to reign. The fact that you missed it in some areas this year is not the end of the road, the Lord has only given you an opportunity to see areas where you can work on and conquer.

You say I am waiting on God, no; heaven is waiting on you to rise up and take your place. What is it that has been reigning over you? Is it sin? Sin shall not have dominion over you (Romans 6:14). Is it sickness? By His stripes you were healed (1 Peter 2:24). Is it poverty? He became poor that you might be rich (1 Corinthians 8:4). Look at all the things that have challenged you this year, put them down and search the scriptures for what God has said about them and write them down. From that list, develop a personal confession for yourself that addresses those specific areas. Determine to say it aloud every morning and evening starting from today. As you say it to yourself, you are actually building up your spiritual muscles and those things that seemed to defeat you this year will bow at your feet for faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

By the position of righteousness, you have the right to command any circumstances reigning over you to back off and expect it to be obeyed. Heaven is waiting on you to rise up and manifest who you are.

Jesus Lived To Die, So That I Might Live And Enjoy Life Abundantly Today!

Romans_5-8: But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Luke 2:12
And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”

You are probably familiar with the story of Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem. The Bible says that when the time had come, Mary “brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger”. (Luke 2:6–7) But have you ever wondered why the angel told the shepherds that the Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger was a “sign”?

A manger is actually a feeding trough for livestock. Do you know what a feeding trough in those days looks like? It is basically a big rectangular block of stone with the trough hewn out of it. So baby Jesus, who was wrapped in swaddling cloths, was placed in such a stone trough.

But why was that a sign? Because if you have seen the empty tomb of Jesus at a place called The Garden Tomb in Jerusalem, you would have noticed that the place where His body was laid, inside a tomb hewn out of rock, resembles a stone trough. The Bible says that after Jesus’ crucifixion and death, Joseph of Arimathea took Jesus’ body, wrapped it in linen and laid it in a tomb hewn out of a rock. (Mark 15:43–46)

Can you see the similarities? Wrapped in swaddling cloths and laid in a manger, baby Jesus would one day be wrapped in linen and laid in a tomb. That was the sign the angel was referring to. It pointed to Jesus’ death.

Jesus was the only child in all of humanity born to die. Once you realize that, you will realize how much God loves you. You will realize that He gave up His Son for that one purpose, and that His Son willingly came for that one purpose—to die for your sins and mine.

Beloved, can you imagine living your life knowing that you are just qualifying yourself to die on the cross to save the world? That was the life that Jesus lived. He lived to die, so that we might live and enjoy life abundantly today!

Are You Able To Hear God Above All The Noise In Your Life?

Job_22-21: Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.

“For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him.” Psalm 62:5 (ESV)

The greatest revelation often comes when things are quiet. You will not get clarity on things in the midst of noise. And noise is not just sounds that you hear – noise can be from too much activity in your life. Are you able to hear God above all the noise?

In the quiet, you can hear God speaking to your spirit. When you recognize that His voice has to be the most important one, then you can do something with the gifts and talents He’s placed in you. When you hear from God, then you must not only receive but be prepared to act on that wisdom, clarity, and revelation. It will not do you any good to be stagnant but expect God to keep speaking.

There will be noise that arises from the quiet. It will be the sound of your actions – accompanied by the sound of God’s voice ringing in your spiritual ear. What you choose to do with the revelation that the Lord gives you will be on record in Heaven when your life on this Earth ends. Make a decision today to quiet all the noise in your life and focus on hearing and obeying God’s voice.

Prayer

Lord, I make a decision to spend quiet time before You. It is in those moments when You have free reign to speak, move, change and rearrange situations. I clearly hear Your still small voice when I choose to silence the noise of distraction. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Where Jesus Is, There Is Life! Hallelujah!

“All the people assembled with a unified purpose at the square just inside the Water Gate. They asked Ezra the scribe to bring out the Book of the Law of Moses, which the Lord had given for Israel to obey.”

It’s a sad fact today that many churches across the world proclaim to love Jesus but refuse to teach His Word. Yet, it is the Word of God that is the life blood of all healthy churches. Even before Jesus instituted the church as we know it today, the people of Israel found revival in their midst when they met together and read aloud the Word of the Lord. Why is it that the elevation of the Bible brings revival? It’s because Christ Himself is contained within the pages and where Jesus is there is life!

John 1:1 “In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.” NLT

The book of John goes on to say that the Word brought life and light into the darkness. Who is this life and light? It is Jesus Christ. So now the question is, “Is the Word of God a priority in your life?” Do you study it, pray through it and apply it to your life? If not, then friend I would challenge you to pick it up today and read. Ask God to give you understanding and then you will see a personal revival in your life that could lead to a revival in your church, community and the world.

The Lasting Lessons I Need To Learn

2-Timothy_3-16: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness

God disciplines His children on occasion because He knows the lasting lessons we need to learn

2 Corinthians 4:17
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.

The army had been good for Stan. When he was younger, he was completely undisciplined. The army had taken care of that. He had to work his tail off to get into good shape, but it was worth it. The short period of affliction he suffered through helped him in so many other ways. The folks back home couldn’t believe the change they saw while he was home for the holidays. God disciplines His children on occasion because He knows the lasting lessons we need to learn. Diets help us grow in maturity and fitness for the kingdom of God.

A gain in discipline means a loss in weight!

I Refuse To Be Sad No Matter What

Proverbs_17-22-1: A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones

“A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.”

Proverbs 17:22 (KJV)

Yesterday was Christmas and many people went out for picnics, family fun, get-togethers, visits etc. Many people exchanged gifts. I know some families did the traditional gift boxes under the Christmas tree. Many had food to eat and to share. Some others maintained a low-key Christmas for one reason or the other. But no matter how you celebrated your Christmas, with fanfare or low-keyed, I want to encourage you not to let go of the spirit of celebration. Yesterday, I said God was ready to bring you joy in the midst of adversity, but even if it is yet to manifest, don’t give up. Hang in there because your spirit determines the result you get.

It is vitally important for us to maintain a merry heart. There are many things released in the atmosphere to keep you sad and break your spirit. The devil knows that if he can get you in the realm of complaints and grumbling, he will be able to steal successfully from you. He knows that the spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity, but a broken spirit no one can bear. So his target is to break your spirit and make you doubt all the promises of God, but you must not allow him. You will be surprised how many people are suffering from sicknesses they never bargained for and even some have died because of their heart condition.

The text gives us a powerful revelation. A merry, joyful happy heart is as good as medicine. A merry heart is medicinal. How much do you need it today? It is a choice you have to make. Then it goes on to say when your spirit is broken it dries the bones, in other words a broken spirit breaks down your body with all kinds of sickness and diseases. A broken spirit will break down your immune system and make you susceptible to even the weakest bacteria. I therefore challenge you to refuse to be sad no matter what. My friend rise up and leap for joy and see the devil bow before you.

Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace

Isaiah_9-6: For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

Merry Christmas and compliments of the season. Indeed this is a day of celebration. Many people are today celebrating He whom they do not know, but I am glad you are celebrating the One you know and who you have come into a relationship with. But in case you are coming across this devotional today and you are yet to meet this Wonderful Person, I beseech you by the mercies of God not to log out without inviting Jesus into your life..

Looking at the very popular scripture above, did you notice the phrases “a child is born” and “a Son is given”? It is one thing to see Jesus as a child born in a manger, it is quite another to see Him as a Son, a gift from God to you. When Jesus came into the world, He came simply for a purpose, to pay the full price for your peace so that no matter what the devil may throw at you, nothing will compromise your peace because the Prince of Peace is with you. The scripture quoted above shows that God has promised us joy in the midst of affliction. The world may be crying and suffering, but because the Prince of Peace is with you, you will be dancing and rejoicing.

Take a moment to read that scripture again, you will discover that God was speaking through the Ancient Prophet Isaiah and prophesying the end of the tragedy. Though the land had been under God’s judgment, He was saying that Israel would be great again. God was set to restore His people and break the chains that bind them. How? By the coming of Jesus. Jesus is the Deliverer. He came to pay the price that you and I will not have to pay again. So as the world celebrates Christmas, I want you to celebrate Jesus with the consciousness of the reason why He came. Celebrate Him for paying the price for you. Celebrate Him for bringing true justice and peace to the nations of the world. Celebrate Him for bringing you out of darkness into His marvellous light. Don’t just celebrate a birthday, celebrate the person and rejoice because of all that He came to do.

My Jesus Loves To Heal, Deliver, Prosper And Save People

John_9-25: He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.

John 14:7
“If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”

Someone once told me that just because you ask God for something, it does not mean that He will give it to you. Quoting 1 John 5:14–15, he said that we first have to ask according to His will before He hears and gives us what we ask of Him.

Of course, we do not ask for things that are against God’s will or Word. But what is normally implied in the earlier statement is that we don’t always know what God’s will for us is—“what will be, will be”. But didn’t Jesus say, “He who has seen Me has seen the Father”? (John 14:9) This means that if you want to know what the Father’s will, mind, heart or attitude toward you and your family is, just look at Jesus in the Gospel stories.

So if your child is sick, is it God’s will to heal him? Well, look at Jesus and see how He ministered to children who were sick—the Syro-Phoenician’s daughter who was demon-possessed (Mark 7:24–30), Jairus’ daughter who was dead (Mark 5:22–24, 35–43), and the widow of Nain’s only son who had died and was about to be buried. (Luke 7:12–15) Jesus cast out the demon. He raised the dead. He healed them all!

Beloved, don’t say, “We can never know God’s will. Sometimes He heals, sometimes He doesn’t. He may bless us, but He may also take away our blessings.” The Jesus of the Bible never made anyone sick. He never made anyone poor. He made the little become much with 12 baskets full of leftovers. (Matthew 14:20) He gave a net-breaking, boat-sinking load of fish to fishermen. (Luke 5:6–7)

My friend, the Jesus of the Bible loves to heal, deliver, prosper and save people. This Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8) And He says to you today, “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.” So you can know God’s will for you. You can see what He will do for you when you know the Jesus of the Bible and what He did.

Jesus Christ The Savior Has Come And He Will Save You To The Uttermost!

Luke_2-11: For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

Luke 2:10–11
Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

My friend, if all is silent and dark in your life now, and you feel like you have been left out in the cold, just know that Jesus came to be your Savior at such a time as this.

He was not born in the comfort of a warm, cozy room, but in a cold manger. There was no room for Him in the inn (Luke 2:7), so that there will always be room at the cross for your healing, deliverance, wholeness and provision, and a mansion in heaven waiting for you!

Jesus was born very quietly, so quietly that the Bible says that only a group of shepherds came to Him, while the rest of Bethlehem slept. (Luke 2:8–9) Like manna falling quietly from heaven in the Old Testament, the true bread from heaven came quietly. It was a silent night, but that was not all.

Jesus was also born during the darkest time in Israel’s history. Israel was under the tyrannical rule of the Romans. It was during this time, when everything was so dark, that Jesus was born. Beloved, He will come to you in the darkest period of your life.

On that cold and silent night, the shepherds were afraid when the angel of the Lord stood before them. But the angel said, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”

Beloved, it was not a judge or lawgiver who was born. It was a mighty Savior. He came to save His people. He came to save you and me. So even if you are in a cold, dark period of your life, don’t be afraid—the Savior has come and He will save you to the uttermost!

Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church Pastor Taiwo Odukoya yesterday unveiled the first official biography of late Pastor Bimbo Odukoya who died in the Sosoliso plane crash in 2005. The book titled “Glorious Legacy: The Life and Times of Bimbo Odukoya’, chronicles details of the beloved woman of God from birth to courtship, marriage and the launching into ministry.

I See The Vision Of God For My Life

Psalms_1-3: And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper

Psalm 1:3
He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.

When darkness covered the face of the earth, God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. (Genesis 1:3) When a certain man paralyzed for 38 years lay helpless at the pool of Bethesda, Jesus said, “Rise, take up your bed and walk,” and immediately, the man was healed, took up his bed and walked. (John 5:8–9)

You don’t say such words unless you see something others don’t. God does not see the way man sees. Man, however, must see the way God sees. We must see the vision of the Almighty.

The prophet Balaam saw the vision of the Almighty when the Spirit of God fell on him. As he looked down from a mountain at the camp of the Israelites, he found himself saying, “How lovely are your tents, O Jacob! Your dwellings, O Israel! Like valleys that stretch out, like gardens by the riverside, like aloes planted by the Lord, like cedars beside the waters.” (Numbers 24:5–6)

Balaam would not have said this unless he saw Israel not in the natural, but as God saw it. At that time, the Israelites were a discontented lot, always murmuring and complaining in the wilderness. But when God looked at them, He saw them like flourishing gardens planted by the rivers—fruitful and prosperous.

Beloved, God wants you to see yourself the way He sees you—“like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper”. So see yourself like a tree planted by the rivers of water, bringing forth fruit in your season. See yourself as one who will not wither, whose health will not fail. See whatever you do prospering!

See the vision of the Almighty. That vision is always a good vision. Whenever you see your situation through God’s eyes, you will find that your situation will change because when you see as He sees, you allow Him to work as the Almighty in your life!
