God Loves Me Just The Way I Am, He Does Not Condemn Me

God Loves Me Just The Way I Am, He Does Not Condemn Me

“That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.”
Ephesians 5:27 (KJV)

One of the things the devil does is make us uncomfortable in the presence of Jesus. Sometimes, even in times of worship, he digs up a weakness or an area of struggle in our lives and makes us feel like we don’t have the right to worship. Then we find ourselves losing the joy we had earlier.

However, you should come into God’s presence with a consciousness of Jesus, His forgiveness, and His grace. In the Old Testament, when people brought their offerings to a priest, the priest examined the animal sacrifices to ensure they had no blemishes. He never examined the sinners. If a given animal was without blemish, God accepted the sacrifice. In the same way, when you approach God, God does not examine you. He sees you through the full value and the loveliness and acceptance of His Son (Ephesians 1:6). God sees you as being holy and without blemish.

Like today’s text says, you are glorious, without spot or wrinkle. You are holy without blemish. In Luke 7:36-50, we read the story of a woman who was a sinner and came to Jesus as she was. She was Jesus-conscious and not self-conscious. She was not bothered by her own sin and unworthiness; instead, she was consumed with her love for Jesus. All she had heard about Jesus was that He was doing good. She had never heard of Him condemning or stoning anyone, so she came to Him in her unworthiness; and she therefore received the forgiveness she needed.

Whatever your need is, come to God as you are. Don’t try to get things right before coming. Don’t try to partially atone for your sins before approaching Him. A songwriter once said, “Just as I am without one plea”. That is the way to come. When you come to Him this way and fall at His feet in worship, acknowledging Him for whom He is, you will hear Him say, “Go your way. Your restoration has come. Your prosperity is here. You are healed. You have been made whole.”

Because Jesus Lives In Me, Whatever I Touch Shall Be Blessed By His Spirit

Because Jesus Lives In Me, Whatever I Touch Shall Be Blessed By His Spirit

Psalms_5-12-1: For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

Psalms_5-12-1: For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

“The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he will bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.”
Deuteronomy 28:8 (KJV)

Today’s text declares that God commands His blessing on all that you touch. It may be a person, a thing, or your business. Touch your child, spouse, car, computer, or musical instrument; then the blessing of God will come upon it. Everyone Jesus touched received a blessing and because Jesus lives in you, whatever you touch will be blessed by His spirit, too.

Jesus paid the price so that you could have this blessing. He was nailed to the cross so that God can today command His blessing in all that you touch. When Jesus went to the cross, the barrier between God and man was destroyed. It was not set aside; otherwise it could be revisited. It was totally and eternally destroyed. Therefore our access to the throne room is not conditional but free. The doors to the throne of grace are wide open, and God’s arms are outstretched to us. All you need to do is walk in His love.

In Matthew 9:28-30, when Jesus touched the two blind men their eyes were opened. In Luke 7:12-15, when He touched the casket of the son of the widow of Nain, he was raised from death. In Mark 1:40-42, when He touched the lepers in spite of the Old Testament laws, their leprosy were cleansed. Jesus did all of this to show us that nothing we want can be denied. Our hands are blessed and as the song goes, “Everyone you touch surely must be blessed”. If you believe in something and expect it, you will see it, because the expectations of the righteous shall not be cut off.

Today He is at work in you and through you. So whatever you touch today is blessed. Go ahead and put your hands on your spouse, your child, your business, your trade, your womb, and on other things you want the blessing to rest upon. You will see what you desire come to pass. Your hands are blessed.

Sin Can No Longer Hold Me Down. I Have Got The Victory In Christ Jesus

Sin Can No Longer Hold Me Down. I Have Got The Victory In Christ Jesus

“Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound”.
Romans 5:20 (KJV)

Grace-the unmerited, unearned, undeserved favour of God-is more abundant than all of your sins. Oftentimes people become sin-conscious and everything they talk about is laced with sin, as though what sin did in Adam was more powerful than what Jesus did in the new creation.

Our text today is very comforting: “[. . .] But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound” (Romans 5:20, KJV). The Amplified version of the same text is as follows: “[. . .] But where sin increased and abounded, grace (God’s unmerited favour) has surpassed it and increased the more and superabounded” (Romans 5:20).

What a knockout to the sin in our lives! No matter the sin in your life, factor in the abundant grace of God that completely obliterates it and puts you in right standing with God. Sin has been disarmed of the power to unravel your right standing with God. This is what throws the enemy into confusion. He was used to holding man as guilty, but then Jesus came and man was free from the devil’s hold. When the veil that separated the Holy of Holies was torn, God gave man unconditional access to His presence. We need no longer come cringing. We can come like a child ready to fall into the waiting arms of the Father.

Beloved, wake up every day and celebrate your right standing, your righteousness in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21). Rejoice in the great work that Jesus did on the cross, and you will soon find yourself behaving in line with your right standing. I welcome you to a new life of victory over the dominion of sin.

I Will Follow Jesus. I Refuse To Be Distracted Because My Eyes Are On Him

I Will Follow Jesus. I Refuse To Be Distracted Because My Eyes Are On Him

“Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite unto this day, because that he wholly followed the Lord God of Israel.”
Joshua 14:14 (KJV)

The Bible says Caleb wholly followed the Lord. Caleb decided to follow Him fully. In other words, he gave Him his total commitment. He trusted Him with all his heart. Whether he understood it or not did not matter. He just decided: I will follow him and I will keep on following him. Even when I cannot follow him I will trust him. I will follow him and I will refuse to be distracted because my eyes are on him.

Hebrews 12:2 says “…looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith….” Look unto him not onto your circumstance. Your circumstance will cry if it has never be done before. It will shout impossible, no one has ever achieved it. But keep following the Lord. Whether you have seen it happen before or not, whether you know how it will happen or not, follow the Lord completely.

Sometimes I can hear some people say Caleb something is wrong with you, can’t you see this thing is not working? But I also hear Job say I know my redeemer liveth. I will keep on following Him. Though He slays me yet I will trust him. I know He will never leave me nor forsake me. I am persuaded that they that put their trust in Him will never be put to shame and therefore all the days of my life will I wait until my change comes.

You can’t follow the Lord and miss the way. If you follow the Lord you can’t be lost. You can’t be lagging behind, because you are following the real thing. You can’t be following the Lord and be looking behind you wondering whether somebody is going to stab you at the back or not. You are confident that you are safe because you are following him. He knows the way. He knows where all the bombs are planted. He knows where all the ditches and traps are and He knows how to avoid them. All you need do is keep your eyes on Him and follow Him whole heartedly.

The scripture says he that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord He is my refuge and my fortress, my God and in him will I trust, he will deliver me from the snare of the fowler and from the noisome pestilence. He will deliver you from all this things dancing around you because you are abiding under his shadow. So simply keep your eyes are on Him and follow Him wherever He leads you. I declare to you today that you will not see shame. The Lord in whom you have come to trust will come through for you and you will testify. I bless you in the name of the Lord.

Revelation 6

Christ Took His Place In A Manger So That I Will Have A Home In Heaven

Christ Took His Place In A Manger So That I Will Have A Home In Heaven

Matthew_6-20: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

Matthew_6-20: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. – (2 Corinthians 8:9)

In reality, the story of Jesus is not a rags-to-riches story; it is a riches-to-rags story. It is a story of leaving the glory of Heaven for this planet. Jesus could have been born in the most elegant mansion on the ritziest boulevard in Rome. He could have had aristocratic parents who boasted of their pedigree. He could have had the finest clothes from the most exclusive shops. He could have had legions of angels as an army of servants to respond to His every whim. But He had none of that. Instead, Jesus humbled Himself.

We read in 2 Corinthians 8:9, “Though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.” God came into our world. He was like any other baby who needed to be cradled, needed to be nurtured, and needed to be protected. The Creator of the universe was born in a stable in Bethlehem.

Like everything else in the Christmas story, we have romanticized this aspect of it. I think, in many ways, we miss its raw, powerful meaning. This stable or barn (or maybe even cave) where Christ was born was cold and damp. It also would have smelled. God incarnate was born on the dirt floor of a filthy stable. Our Saviour came not as a monarch draped in gold and silk, but as a baby wrapped in rags.

Jesus went from being a sovereign to a servant. He went from the glory of God to a stable filled with animals. It has been said that history swings on the hinge of the door of a stable in Bethlehem.

Think about what Jesus left to come to us. Jesus took His place in a manger so that we might have a home in Heaven.

On A Hill Far Away, Stood An Old Rugged Cross.

1-Corinthians_1-18: For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God

On A Hill Far Away
Stood An Old Rugged Cross,
The Emblem Of Suffering And Shame;
And I Love That Old Cross
Where The Dearest And Best
For A World Of Lost Sinners Was Slain.

So I’ll Cherish The Old Rugged Cross
Till My Trophies At Last I Lay Down;
I Will Cling To The Old Rugged Cross;
And Exchange It Some Day For A Crown.

Oh That Old Rugged Cross
So Despised By The World
Has A Wondrous Attraction For Me;
For The Dear Lamb Of God
Left His Glory Above
To Bear It To Dark Calvary.

In The Old Rugged Cross
Stained With Blood So Divine
A Wondrous Beauty I See
For It Was On That Old Cross
Jesus Suffered And Died,
To Pardon And Sanctify Me.

To The Old Rugged Cross
I Will Ever Be True,
Its Shame And Reproach Gladly Bear;
Then He’ll Call Me Some Day
To My Home Far Away,
Where His Glory Forever I’ll Share. Amen!

Like The Woman At The Well I Was Seeking.

And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Like The Woman At The Well I Was Seeking
For Things That Could Not Satisfy;
And Then I Heard My Savior Speaking,
“Draw From My Well That Never Shall Run Dry.”

Fill My Cup Lord, I Lift It Up Lord!
Come And Quench This Thirsting Of My Soul;
Bread Of Heaven, Feed Me Till I Want No More
Fill My Cup, Fill It Up And Make Me Whole

There Are Millions In This World
Who Are Craving
The Pleasure Earthly Things Afford;
But None Can Match The
Wondrous Treasure
That I Find In Jesus Christ My Lord.

So, My Brother, If The Things This World Gave You
Leave Hungers That Won’t Pass A Way;
My Blessed Lord Will Come And Save You,
If You Kneel To Him And Humbly Pray. Amen!

Jesus, Thou Joy Of Loving Hearts
Thou Fount Of Life, Thou Light Of Men
From The Best Bliss That Earth Imparts
We Turn Unfilled To Thee Again.

Thy Truth Unchanged Hath Ever Stood
Thou Savest Those That On Thee Call
To Them That Seek Thee Thou Art Good
To Them That Find Thee, All In All.

We Taste Thee, O Thou Living Bread
And Long To Feast Upon Thee Still
We Drink Of Thee, The Fountain Head
And Thirst Our Souls From Thee To Fill.

Our Restless Spirits Yearn For Thee;
Wherever Our Changeful Lot Is Cast;
Glad When Thy Gracious Smile We See
Blest When Our Faith Can Hold Thee Fast.

O Jesus, Ever With Us Stay;
Make All Our Moments Calm And Bright
Chase The Dark Night Of Sin Away
Shed Over The World Thy Holy Light. Amen!

Romans_6-23: For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord

Lord, To Whom Except To Thee
Shall Our Wandering Spirits Go;
Thee Whom It Is Light To See,
And Eternal Life To Know?
Awful Is That Life Of Thine,
Which The Spirit’s Breath Inspires;
And The Food Must Be Divine
Which Each New Born Soul Desires.

Israel On The Heavenly Seed
Fed And Died In Days Of Yore
But The Souls, That On Thee Feed,
Never Thirst Nor Hunger More.
Lord, To Whom Except To Thee
Shall We Go When Ills Betide?
Who Except Thyself Can Be
Hope And Help And Strength And Guide?

Who Can Cleanse The Soul From Sin,
Hear The Prayer, And Seal The
Vow?
Who ,An Till The Void Within,
Blessed Saviour, Who But Thou?
Therefore Evermore I’ll Give
Laud And Praise, My God, To
Thee:
Evermore In Thee I Live,
Evermore Live Thou In Me. Amen!

When The Paschal Evening Fell.

Romans_5-17: For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ

When The Paschal Evening Fell
Deep On Kedrons Hallowed Dell.
When Around The Festal Board
Sate The Apostles With Their Lord,
Then His Parting Word He Said,
Blessed The Cup And Brake The Bread
“This Whenever Ye Do And See,
Evermore Remember Me.’

Years Have Passed: In Every Clime
Changing With The Changing Time
Varying Through A Thousand Forms,
Torn By Factions, Rocked By Storms,
Still The Sacred Table Spread,
Flowing Cup And Broken Bread.
With That Parting Word Agree,
‘Drink And Eat: Remember Me.”

When By Treason, Doubt, Unrest,
Sinks The Soul, Dismayed, Opprest;
When The Shadows Of The Tomb
Close Us Round With Deepening
Gloom,
Then Bethink Us At That Board
Of The Sorrowing, Suffering Lord,
Who, When Tried And Grieved As
We,
Dying, Said, “Remember Me.”

When In This Thanksgiving Feast
We Would Give To God Our Best.
From The Treasures Of His Might
Seeking Life And Love And Light:
Then, O Friend Of Human Kind,
Make Us True And Firm Of Mind.
Pure Of Heart, In Spirit Free;
Thus May We Remember Thee. Amen!

And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
