I Am Not Defeated

I Am Not Defeated

John_10-10: The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

John_10-10: The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
John 10:10 (KJV)

Sometimes the enemy breaks in on us unannounced. At such times we become so overwhelmed that we forget who we are and the resources at our disposal. And then we do the wrong thing. This is not a new situation. It happened to the saints of old. It is a sign that there are still areas in your life that you need to work on. So don’t beat yourself up when this happens; there are no supermen in God. Every person you see is daily working on his faith by studying the word of God. Don’t give up on yourself, because God is not through with you yet.

I don’t know what specific area you feel overwhelmed in with regard to Satan and his antics. But I have good news for you. Look closely at today’s scripture. Satan may have come to steal, kill, and destroy, but the story does not end there. Blow your nose, dry your tears, and look for Jesus. Don’t forget that the person speaking in the scripture is Jesus, and He says that He comes right before Satan can do his damage in order to ensure that you can live more abundantly.

Look at the area in your life that is troubling you and declare that you are not defeated. Instead, declare that Jesus came to give you life so that you could live more abundantly. Speak life into your troubles. Declare what you desire. Build your confession table, and search the scripture for the word of God in the area that worries you. Say the word over and over to yourself. Know that Jesus will give you life, and indeed, abundant life in the troubling area, so that you are not defeated.

As you do this you will begin to see a change. Don’t do these actions for one day and then give up because you have not seen immediate results. Remember, God is not a magician. When He gives miracles, He provides miracles that are sustained. So He will usually allow you to build your level of faith up to a certain point so that when the devil comes-because he always comes (he is never tired), you will stand strong knowing that glory will come out of your troubles.

Beloved, put on your dancing shoes and begin to rejoice, because you will laugh last.
