House On The Rock. PUSH. Pray Until Something Happens.

1. Decree that Nigeria shall be built up and her cities established. Reverse the downward trend of decay and degeneration in the nation; prohibit retrogression in the land.

Isaiah 58:12
And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

2. Pray that the hand of our Senior Pastor and the entire leadership will be strengthened by the Hand of our God. Declare help and grace for the next level of the Work

Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

Genesis 49:24
But his bow remained in strength, And the arms of his hands were made strong By the hands of the Mighty God of Jacob (From there is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel).

3. Ask God to arise in His anger and sore displeasure in defense of His people (the Body of Christ) and in remembrance of the congregation purchased by His blood.

Psalms 74:2
Remember thy congregation, which thou hast purchased of old; the rod of thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed; this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt.

4. Pray that as a wise master builder, you will build your life, family, business, career, destiny etc., not on sinking sand, but on the solid rock of God’s infallible word.

Matthew 7:24-25
Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

God’s Love.

Romans_6-14: For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?”
Romans 6:1 (KJV)

Today, I thought it necessary to balance the message of grace so you do not run off saying you have been forgiven and therefore can indulge freely in sin. The best way to explain the grace of God is to take a look at the love of God. Let us take a look at this example. If you as a child know that your Daddy loves you very much, is always there for you; takes you to school, attends several extra curricula activities like sports with you, is always ready to assist you with your assignment and everything you come to him with. As a child, you know that you will reciprocate by loving him and as a result of your love for your Daddy, there are some things you will not do; not because he said you must not do it, but because you love him too much to hurt him. I am sure you can identify with that. There are some things that may not be wrong out rightly, but because you are not sure of your Daddy’s disposition towards those things, you would most likely rather hold on and find out his opinion first, just because you do not want to hurt him.

That is the same thing with a believer. When you understand the love of God, you do not want to upset Him. You do not want to do anything that will make the devil mock Him. You want to be the son or daughter that He will be proud of. That is what God expects of us. Take time to think of the love of God – the more you understand His love, the less you will commit sin because the only thing that will appeal to you will be to make God happy.

If that be the case, there is no way you will want to continue in sin. Yes, you can fall into sin once in a while, but you will not dwell in sin. You cannot deliberately want to hurt God because you love Him. You want to see Him happy with you and saying “well done my child”. When you understand the love of God, you will be dead to sin.

It is my prayer that the Lord will open your eyes to show you His love.

Why Will You Write Yourself Off When God Has Not Written You Off.

Psalms_34-4-1: I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

“Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.”

Micah 7:8 (KJV)

Never allow the enemy to push you to the place of self pity – a position where you sit in a corner and lick your wounds. You look around and the devil lies to you that it is all over and you believe it. You look at yourself and all the past errors and conclude that even if God was to bless anyone it will not be you.

Why will you write yourself off when God has not written you off? I am aware that there are times the believer stumbles. Yes, there are times the believer falls. The strategy of the devil is to make the fall appear so hard that you find it difficult to forgive yourself therefore you also imagine that God cannot forgive you. If you are not careful you begin to live in self-condemnation and the devil sits in one corner laughing. Beloved, the Ancient Prophet of God Micah captured it rightly, Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise. Yes it is possible for me to fall, but that is not the end of the story, I am rising up again. God has made provision for me to get up, dust myself and keep going as if nothing happened. If God made that provision, why then will you condemn yourself? Why will you refuse to forgive yourself. Think of it: are you greater than God? If God can forgive you, how dare you not forgive yourself?

I don’t care which area the devil has tripped you up. Dust up yourself, look the devil eye to eye and tell him: Rejoice not over me because I have arisen. Don’t wallow in self pity. Don’t live in self-condemnation. Don’t let the devil make you cower in self pity. Jesus shed His blood for you ever before you were born and that blood has not lost its power. Appropriate the blood today. Stand up boldly and put the devil where he belongs – under your feet. Be bold to announce to him: Rejoice not over me. Be conscious of the love of God and walk in that love.

All Things Are Working Together For Your Good.

Romans_8-28: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose

Romans 8:28 (KJV)

Many times we are weighed down by the seasons of contradictions. You have fasted and prayed about a specific situation but it appears that the more you pray the more adamant the situation seems to be. Yes, you have received a word from God, but when you get up and look around, the opposite seems to be the case and you are tempted to give up. I want to encourage you today to hold on, don’t give up, don’t give in, this season of contradiction will soon pass and your testimony will show forth.

As I have often said, all truth is parallel. If in the physical, you need the negative and positive to produce power, so also in the spirit realm, negative and positive will produce great power. Look at the scriptures, God promised Abram a son, He went ahead and gave him a new name. God changed his name to Abraham (father of many nations) and his wife’s name to Sarah (mother of many nations) yet, there was no child. Abraham and Sarah went around with this name, father and mother of many nations and yet all they had were servants in their house, none could be called their son. Can you imagine the ridicule they must have gone through when people ask them why they changed their name and they reply: God gave us the name. Yet, there was no evidence. Several years passed, before the word of God eventually came through: Isaac was born and today we are bold to call the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Think of it: what would have happened if Abraham gave up and walked away?

No matter the seasons of contradiction, remember that negative and positive produces power. All things, including the current challenge you are facing, are working together for your good. Hold on to the word of God and He will surely come through for you in Jesus’ name.

Come To Jesus In Absolute Trust.

Exodus_33-14-2: And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Matthew 11:28 (KJV)

The time of waiting on the Lord, is also a time of resting in Him. Resting in God is not a passive activity. You actively rest in God not in the spirit of qui sera sera (whatever will be ,will be) but with a knowing that He is in absolute control.

Jesus said, come unto Me. When He made the call, He made it knowing that He has all you need. He did not say “come and let us see what we can do”; that is the language of man. Man can promise and fail. Man can promise with a good intention and unforeseen circumstances come up and make the promise impossible to fulfill. Man can mock, jeer and laugh at you then pretend to render you a help. Man can do all sorts of things but not God. When He said “Come” it is because He has all it takes to turn that situation around. He has all you need for the miracle you need to come to pass.

When He says come, He truly wants you to come. Don’t think of qualifying for the blessing, because He has qualified you. Don’t think of being deserving of the miracle. He paid the full price for you. All He asks is that you come, confident in His ability to save, deliver and set free. Come to Him in absolute trust. Don’t come with a plan B: if God fails, then I will …. No God cannot fail. It is absolutely impossible for Him to fail. Come to Him in faith, come without wavering and He will give you rest.

When God gives you rest, there is nothing the devil wants to throw at you that can get to you, because you are resting confidently in God. No matter the challenge, no matter the obstacle, no matter how long it has lasted, just trust God today and He will give you total rest. You will not be denied. Your desires shall be granted, I will hear your testimony.

Don’t Give Up. Don’t Give In. The Promise Of God Will Come To Pass.

Galatians_6-9: And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not

“A double minded man is unstable in all his ways”.

James 1:8 (KJV)

In my previous devotion, I reminded you of the fact that God cannot lie. Has He said it, He will do it. If you carried out the little exercise I stated in that piece, then you have a personalized confession on your hands by now. One thing I want to encourage you on is to stand firm on the word of God. Don’t give in to the lie of the devil. Don’t be like the farmer that plants today, waits for two days and goes back to uproot the seed because he did not see the harvest. That farmer depicts the double minded man that the scripture above.

Think of the seed, when you plant it you give it time to take root. When this is going on, you diligently water it as a good farmer and wait for it to sprout. Then you ensure that it is well weeded so that weeds don’t overgrow and stifle the life out of the young plant and as you diligently watch over the plant, it become a full tree and then you harvest the fruits and enjoy the profit of your labour. It is much more the same with the word of God. When you receive the word of God, you stand firm on it, you pray the word into your life until it takes root in you. You confess the word until you become one with the word. You are also open to receive instructions from the Lord and obey. Take for instance in the area of finances, God has promised to bless you and make you a blessing, but there must be something you are doing that He will bless. So you take time to listen for instructions and as He speaks to you, you obey. You cannot fold your hands and claim money without working – that will be foolishness. You can enjoy speed and greater returns than your colleagues because of the promise of God. So don’t give up if in the first week nothing happens, stand firm and hang in there. Decide that if anyone should give up, then it has to be the devil. Don’t give up, don’t give in because the promise of God will come to pass.

Has God Said It. He Will Do It.

Matthew_21-22: And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

“That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:”

Hebrews 6:18 (KJV)

The devil loves to magnify the issues confronting you and make you think that there is no way out, so that you can give up and throw in the towel. I come to remind you of the fact that God cannot lie. God is the creator of time and He is not bound by time. He can suspend time for your sake if the need arises. He did it for Joshua when he was faced with a battle and the sun and moon stood still until the war was over (Joshua 10). He is the same God. What He has done for one is an indication of what He can do for you.

Let me ask you this: what are the promises that God has made to you? Can you list them all on a paper? If yes, attempt to do just that. Secondly, how many have come to pass? Can you tick them off? Then look at what is left and tell yourself: the same God that did the others that you have ticked will do them. Next thing I want you to do is to put a scripture beside each promise. Then personalize the scripture for yourself. So what you have is a confession. Take for instance one of the issues is healing in your body. Put 1 Peter 2:24 in front of it then write it down personalizing it this way: “Who His own self bore my sins in His own body on the tree, that I, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by His stripes I was healed”. Did you see that? When you do that to all the issues listed, what you have is a table of confession, personalized just for you.

After every prayer time, declare those words over your life and you will see them come to pass. God cannot lie. His word is yea and amen. He is not a man to lie neither is He the son of man to repent. Hold on to His word, it will surely come to pass.

Day 7. MARCH 13th 2016.

1. Challenge, uproot the foundation and influence of satanic thrones and altars that propel the vices of evil in our nation. Degrade, downgrade and destroy every expression of the spirit of violence and terrorism in the land. Hold them in divine contempt. Declare that they shall not prosper.

Psalms 68:30
Rebuke the company of spearmen, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the people, till every one submit himself with pieces of silver: scatter thou the people that delight in war.

Isaiah 60:18
Violence shall no longer be heard in your land, Neither wasting nor destruction within your borders; But you shall call your walls Salvation, And your gates Praise.

2. Ask that the Body of Christ will be one in purpose, manifesting the glory of the Father.

John 17:21
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

3. Ask God to send more laborers into His vineyard as He has promised, and raise faithful and able men who will not relent in their assignments at all levels.

The Devil Is Only As Powerful As You Empower Him.

1-Peter_5-8: Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour

“For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. ”
Matthew 12:37 (KJV)

One of the lies of the devil is to make you think that you are ordinary. The devil even takes the lie farther by making you think that you are at his command. However, the trick of the devil is to overwhelm you and make you align your words to his plans and then when it come to pass, you give undue credit to the devil. Beloved, the devil is only as powerful as you empower him.

Don’t think too far about how you empower the devil. The answer is simple: YOU EMPOWER THE DEVIL BY YOUR IGNORANCE OF THE FINISHED WORK OF CALVARY. When you don’t know your rights and privileges, rather than giving the command and the devil must obey, you go begging the devil, and being the wicked spirit that he is, he relishes in your tears and refuses to let go. This throws you into a circle of frustration and rather than face the enemy, you judge God a liar and if care is not taken, the believer can backslide. Beloved, ignorance is not an excuse, get into the word today, find out your rights and privileges and exercise them.

The second way believers empower the devil is by SPEAKING THE WRONG WORDS. If you speak negatively, then you have consciously or unconsciously aligned with the devil and like the Bible says, if any two shall agree on earth ..(Matt. 18:19) you have agreed with the devil and God has no choice but to let you have your way. When things happen, rather than say the wrong things, find out what the word of God says concerning the situation and rehearse it knowing that when your words agree with the word of God, God is obligated to honour it and He will. Your words carry more power than you think: death and life are in the power of the tongue; learn to use it correctly that you may enjoy the benefits of the fruits of your lips.

Angels.

“Thus God expelled him, and placed mighty angels at the east of the Garden of Eden, with a flaming sword to guard the entrance to the Tree of Life.”

Genesis 3:24 (TLB)

The ministry of angels did not start today. Angels have always been part of God’s workforce but their assignment is to carry out the word of God as it concerns us. I know that today, the ministry of angels have been bastardized; some people even go to the extreme of praying to and worshipping angels. Beloved, no matter the size of the angel, it is only God that deserves our worship and He is the only one we can direct our prayer to.

In Genesis 3 (quoted above) we see God used angels to protect the garden so that man could not get in after the fall. In Genesis 18, Angels appeared to Abram with the word from God concerning birth of Isaac. In Genesis 19, we see Lot’s encounter with the angels. In Genesis 21, an Angel encouraged Hagar in the wilderness. In Judges 6, an angel appeared to Gideon. I can go on and on listing the various appearances of angels. The fact that we do not see them regularly does not mean they do not exist. Take for example, right where you are, there are radio waves, from different stations, but unless you get a radio and tune in, you cannot receive the signals. The fact that you do not have a radio does not deny the existence of radio waves. The same way, the fact that you have not seen an angel does not imply that they do not exist.

If you do a careful study of the scriptures where angels were revealed, they came for a definite assignment from God. At each time they were either responding to man’s request or carrying out a direct word from God. Why then should you keep your angel idle by not speaking the word of God? Even in the New Testament, we read of various activities of angels so it is not a thing of the past. It was an angel that announced to Zacharias that his wife would bare a son. It was angels that informed Mary about Elizabeth. When Peter was locked up in prison, an angel opened the door. The angels assigned to you also want to fulfill their ministry, but they need your cooperation. Open your mouth and declare the word of God concerning your situation and your ministering spirits will get to work to ensure it comes to pass.

The Ministry Of Angels.

Psalms_91-11: For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

“Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?”

Hebrews 1:14 (KJV)

One weapon of warfare that we must not take lightly are angels. The ministry of angels is still very real today. God did not give the angels to the saints of old and left us alone. No, the angels are still very much around and their assignment is to minister to you. But the question is: are you engaging them?

Imagine yourself in a restaurant and a waiter has been assigned to you. You sit at the table and rove your eyes from left to right and back again, saying nothing. Then you get up and get very upset with the manager of the restaurant that you were not served. Think of it, who is at fault? Of course it is you because the waiter was there at your beck and call, but you refused to speak, so he has nothing to carry out. The same is true when you go around every day with your mouth closed and you expect your angel to work for you – what will he be doing? Remember he is sent to carry out your instruction.

All through the scriptures you will see the ministry of angels – but worthy of note is Psalm 103:20 (KJV) “Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.” Did you notice there that the angels:

1. Excel in strength- which means they have all it takes to carry out that assignment

2. They do the bidding of the Lord – they obey Him

3. They hearken to the voice of His word

The 3rd one is what I want to call your attention to. They hearken to the voice of the word of God. Think about it: who gives voice to the word of God? The answer is simple and obvious: YOU. Angels are there to carry out the word of God that you speak. Check yourself: are you speaking the word of God?

The Keys Of The Kingdom Of Heaven.

Matthew_18-18: Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven

“And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

Matthew 16:19 (KJV)

The more you read the word of God, the more you discover the power that is available to you as a child of God. Don’t take the word of God lightly, or read it just like any other novel or storybook. It is the word of God that is backed up by the power of God. There is nothing on earth that is able to destroy you if you hold on to the word of God.

In the scripture above, Jesus made a profound statement – I WILL GIVE YOU THE KEYS OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. This passage is one of the few times that Jesus called the Kingdom in full – KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. It is because He wanted to draw out a point – The Kingdom Of Heaven backs up everything you say; once it is in line with the word of God. He said “WHATSOEVER” you bind, it does not matter what it is, is bound in heaven and whatsoever you lose on earth is loosed in heaven too. Can you imagine that level of authority? Yet many people are allowing it to lie dormant because they refuse to use it.

Can you imagine a law enforcement agent in his full regalia commanding you to stop on the highway and you refuse? Will you even think of it, of course not, because they are there to be obeyed. But the moment you start querying the authority of the policeman then there is something definitely wrong. The same is true for the believer. If you speak and devils don’t obey it, then there is something wrong. You need to stop and check, it is not with God, because backs up His word, then it must be from you. Realign yourself with the word, believe it and it will come to pass.

Speak The Word Of God Into Your Life.

Matthew_17-20: And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you

“Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you”:

Numbers 14:28 (KJV)

I have said over and over again that God is a speaking God and He expects us, man, made in His image to be like Him – A Speaking Spirit. But what you have today are many believers who refuse to speak the word of God. They are quick to repeat what the devil is saying than what God is saying.

In the scripture above, the children of Israel murmured against God because of the challenges in the wilderness and they began to say terrible things about them. Suddenly, God chose to reply them and said “as you have spoken in my ears, so will I do to you”. Can you imagine that? All that God said was “Amen” to their words and of course, all of them that murmured died in the wilderness.

What are you saying about your situation? Can God say Amen to your words? God spoke the world into existence and He also expects you to create your world by your words. Yes, the situation might be contrary but beloved, the fact is not the truth. The truth is the word of God. The truth is by His stripes you have been made whole. The truth is that God supplies all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. The truth is that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. The fact you are experiencing is not the truth. Don’t hold your peace. Don’t sit down silently bemoaning your fate. Arise and create your world with your words. Wake up in the morning and declare to the atmosphere – this is the day the Lord God has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. I shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace. The Lord makes a way for me where there seems to be no way. He is my Helper, He is my strength. He perfects all that concerns me. You can go on and on. Speak the word of God into your world and watch God perform His word in your life.

Your words will produce results in Jesus’ name.

God Is Praised When We Serve Him.

Psalms_34-4-1: I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

Psalm 34:1-3
I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

2 My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

3 O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.

Glorifying GOD is not limited to worshipping in church. In fact, praise should permeate the believer’s life.

One obvious way that we praise the Lord is with our voice. We can either speak or sing our worship. The psalmists put adoration into words and set their love to music. True worship also flows from the mouths of believers who are focused upon God’s attributes. They desire to honor Him because of who He is, what He has done, and what He has promised for the future.

Genuine worship allows the Lord to fill our hearts and minds with His presence. But praising the Lord with wrong motives is an empty act. For example, if we’re lifting our hands and singing loud only because doing so feels good, then what we’re after is an emotional high. That kind of selfish “praise” falls short of heaven.

Our God is praised when we serve Him. People are created for the purpose of bringing glory and honor to His name. Therefore, nothing should limit our willingness to work for the King, particularly when we have a chance to share Him with others. Christ is honored when His followers speak boldly about His grace and His work—believers’ testimonies are an amazing form of praise that magnifies God’s name.

Jesus Christ is worth more than any treasure this world offers. Loving Him and understanding what He’s done for you should be all the motivation you need to praise Him with your life. Don’t just sing; serve His kingdom and share the gospel. Help to make God’s throne room ring with worship.

1. Declare that our Nation will become self-reliant in the manufacturing of goods and services. Ask that there will be an emergence of quality infrastructure and sustainable development in our Nation.

Romans 12:6 (AMP): “Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to use them accordingly.”

We are all gifted and graced differently to operate in the gifts God has given us. We should be thankful for what He gives us and never compare ourselves to others. True happiness comes when we give ourselves to what we are called and graced to do. You are an awesome person with great gifts and abilities and don’t need to compare yourself to anyone else.
