And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world. […] And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believed in Me shall never thirst. —John 6: 33, 35

The feeding of the five-thousand is one of the most famous stories in the Bible. This is such an amazing story of the power of Jesus, not just because it shows His ability to perform any miracle, but because it shows the Love of Jesus, and His desire to fulfill even the most basic of needs for man.

When Jesus identified Himself as the Bread of Life, He inserted Himself into the miracle, promising His apostles that He has come to earth to not only guide us spiritually, but also provide for us in every way. He speaks, in John 6, of providing for both our bodies and our spirits.

The promise of Christ is that you would never be hungry again.

We all experience the ups and downs of life. And often, we have a hard time recovering from the low points. The enemy wants to keep us disheartened; he wants us to give up and give in. This emptiness and discouragement is exactly what Jesus promises to remedy once and for all; all we have to do is put our trust in Him and remember that He will always provide a way out of everything.
I am so encouraged to know that God is willing to fix even the smallest struggles and hardships. He is there to provide food and shelter for my family, and He is there to provide the food and encouragement that my spirit needs!
Friends, I desire for you to put your faith in Jesus and trust that He will always provide. My prayer for you, today, is that you will always come to Him with your worries and your anxiety and allow Him to turn those ashes into beauty!
