In Christ Jesus.

2-Corinthians_5-17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new

For I want you to know how great a struggle I have for you and for those at Laodicea and for all who have not seen me face to face,
2 that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ,
3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Colossians 2:1-3
In the verse above, the word “Wisdom” is the Greek “Sophia” which means insight into reality: learning, science or hidden things, including enigmatic and symbolic language. It means discernment or penetrating insight into things that men find difficult to comprehend or unravel. This wisdom, the Bible says is concealed in Christ.
There’re two striking thoughts from our theme scripture that I want you to notice. First, notice that the verse didn’t say, “in Christ is hid SOME of the treasures of wisdom and knowledge”; rather it says, “in Christ are hid “All” the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Secondly, notice also that it didn’t say “in Jesus are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge”; instead it says “Christ”
Christ, in this context, refers to the Church, of which Jesus is the head, and we are His body. So, Jesus, you and me make up Christ-The Church. Romans 8:17 lets us know that we’re joint heirs with Him; what He is, we have become; what belongs to Him belongs to us. This is because we’re members of the Body of Christ: “Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular” (1 Corinthians 12:27).
Inside us – every one of us who are in Christ – are concealed all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Therefore, nothing ought to be beyond your scope of understanding. You can know anything, and have insight into mysteries and secrets, for inside you is the wisdom of the Father.
Colossians 2:9-10 says “For in him (Christ) dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, And ye are complete in Him” we’re on with Him (I Corinthians 6:17). God deposited all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge in Him for us; so we have access to hidden wisdom.
Confession:
I function at a high level of precision, excellence and perfection because the wisdom of God is at work in me; having been endowed with all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge in Christ, Halleluiah!

Desmond Tutu’s Daughter, Reverend Canon Mpho Tutu-Van Furth Loses South African Church Licence After Her Gay Marriage.

Desmond Tutu’s daughter, Reverend Canon Mpho Tutu-van Furth has been forced to give up her duties as a priest in South Africa’s Anglican church after she married a woman, she told AFP today

Mpho can no longer preside at holy communion, weddings, baptisms or funerals after handing in her licence because the church does not recognise gay marriage. She said her father, the retired archbishop and celebrated anti-apartheid campaigner, was “sad but not surprised” at the news.

“The canon (law) of the South African Church states that marriage is between one man and one woman,” Tutu-van Furth said in an email. “After my marriage… the Bishop of Saldanha Bay was advised that he must revoke my licence. I offered to return my licence rather than require that he take it from me.”

Mpho and Marceline Tutu-van Furth have been on honeymoon on the Indonesian island of Bali after holding a wedding party outside Cape Town earlier this month.
Desmond Tutu, 84, who has been in frail health, attended the celebrations with his wife. He has previously spoken out in favour of gay marriage.

Marceline Tutu-van Furth is an Amsterdam-based professor specialising in paediatric infections. The couple — who are both divorced and have children — officially tied the knot in the Netherlands in December.

“My wife and I meet across almost every dimension of difference. Some of our differences are obvious; she is tall and white, I am black and vertically challenged,” Mpho told the South African City Press newspaper. “Ironically, coming from a past where difference was the instrument of division, it is our sameness that is now the cause of distress,” she said in a reference to apartheid.

Senior local priest Bruce Jenneker told AFP that the Saldanha diocese had received Mpho’s licence with “sadness”.

“It was a great pity that it had to happen,” he added.

God’s Kind Of Love. Eyes Of Love.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Romans 5:5

1 John 4:17 says “As He is, so are we in this world.” As He is love, so are you also called to walk in love. As He has loved you, so are you meant to love Him and those for whom Jesus died.
Love can’t be hidden. You can’t love in silence or in secret. Proverbs 27:5 says “Open rebuke is better than secret love.” You ought to show and demonstrate love in very practical ways; we’re to emulate the Lord’s example of love. John 3:16 tells us, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shoukd not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Love that’s not expressed can’t be received or reciprocated. God expressed His love to us through the death of Jesus Christ on our behalf, so we could receive and reciprocate His Love. For the same reason, you must demonstrate love through your actions, and speak the love-language. Love is one of the characteristic fruits of your recreated human spirit (Galatians 5:22), therefore, it’s natural for you to express divine love.
You’re to show love to everyone; including those you may consider underserving of love. Jesus said, in Matthew 5:44 “Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.” Remember that God sent Jesus to die for us, even whilst we were sinners; it had nothing to do with how “very nice and kind” we were; it was a function of His grace (Romans 5:8).
You’re a product of love, so look at others with the eyes of love. Everyone is valuable and lovable, even sinners; therefore let your words and actions be full of love, tenderness and compassion for all.

Confession:
I walk in love because its my nature. Therefore, I express love, tenderness, compassion and grace to everyone I meet today, showing them the warmth of the Father, to the end that they might receive and share His love, in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

Answers To Every Prayers.

Jeremiah_33-3: Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it

John 15:16
As God’s children, we’ve been ordained to receive answers to every prayers; it’s your blessing and calling as a priest of God (Revelation 1:6). This should make prayer an interesting and exciting endeavour for you. Just to know that the Father hears you when you pray should make you audacious in faith to receive.
Some people pray but ignorantly don’t expect answers. To them, prayer is a religious activity; something they’re “obligated” to do every day. Ask them, “Do you pray every day?” “Oh yes I do; as a matter of fact, several times a day,” they’d say. Then ask further, “Do you receive answers when you pray?” at this point, some aren’t sure what answer to give. Some might even say “Yes, I receive answers; God protects me, and I wake up when I sleep.”
That’s not an answer to prayer! That’s the normal course of life. Human beings are supposed to sleep and wake up. God wants you to have a life that’s more supernatural than that, so He ordained you to receive answers when you pray.
Maybe something has gone wrong in your physical body, or in your family, work or with your business. It can be that you want to effect positive changes in your country; pray about it and dare to expect results. Your faith must be expressed in corresponding actions and words, and that which you’ve decreed shall be established unto you (Job 22:28).
You should be conscious of God’s love for you. He wants you prosperous, well, and sound. He wants everything about your life to be perfect. He’s your Heavenly Father, and He loves you passionately – as much as He loves Jesus. Romans 8:32 says “He that spared not His Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” what do you want right now? Ask and receive, that your joy may be full; you’ve been ordained to receive answers to every prayer.

Prayer Points:
I thank You Dear Heavenly Father! For the abundant supply of Your grace to every minister of the Gospel around world today; that they may walk in Your perfect will and fulfil their calling, to the praise and glory of Your Name, In Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God, Prayer Works, God Answers Prayers

Wisdom Of The Righteous.

Proverbs_9-10-2: The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding

And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the parents to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous–to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”

Luke 1:17
I want you to mark the expression in our opening verse above – “The wisdom of the righteous.” The verse says we’re to turn the hearts of the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous, which means the righteous have a certain kind of wisdom.
Now, what kind of wisdom does the righteous have? The Greek word from which “Wisdom” here is derived from “Phronesis”; it means a mind-set; a fixed mental attitude or a disposition that predetermine a person’s responses to situations, and his interpretations of those situations. Such mental attitude influences your actions under a given situation. It’s a programming of your mind to reason, respond, interpret situations and behave in a certain way, usually, the most excellent way!
Jesus had this mind-set. Recall a certain occasion when He went up the mountain to pray, and when He was through, His disciples had sailed out into the sea, and all the boats were gone, being late at night. He didn’t panic. He didn’t start praying “Oh God, please help me now.” No. he just stepped out on the water and walked on it as though it were dry ground. He didn’t think of sinking, because He had a fixed mental attitude! To Him, there was no difference between the sea and dry ground; nothing was going to stop Him from getting to the other side of the shore. He had a mind-set that had no sense of fear or impossibilities.
God expects us, His children, to function with the mind-set of the righteous, which can only be gotten through the Word of God. The Word of God helps you form the right mind-set; the mind-set of a victor; the mind-set of one who’s more than a conqueror; the mind-set of success.

Prayer Point:

Dear Heavenly Father! Your Word has enriched me with the right mind-set. The mind-set of the righteous, such that my response to circumstances and situations are from the standpoint of victory! Thank You for Your wisdom that’s at work in me to function with the dominion of the Spirit, in Jesus Christ name, Amen!
