Pass me not, O gentle Savior,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.

CHORUS
Savior, Savior,
Hear my humble cry,
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.

Let me at Thy throne of mercy
Find a sweet relief;
Kneeling there in deep contrition,
Help my unbelief.

Trusting only in Thy merit,
Would I seek Thy face;
Heal my wounded, broken spirit,
Save me by Thy grace.

Thou the spring of all my comfort,
More than life to me,
Whom have I on earth beside Thee,
Whom in Heav’n but Thee.

Thank You Jesus.

Welcome Message by Pastor E. A. Adeboye. RCCG 64th Annual Convention. AMEN.

Welcome Message by Pastor E. A. Adeboye. RCCG 64th Annual Convention. AMEN.

Pastor E A Adeboye, Daddy G O

Pastor E A Adeboye, Daddy G O

With Joy in our heart and with praise to the name of our God, we like to welcome all the children of God to the 64th Annual Convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, 2016, with the theme: AMEN

PROGRAMME RCCG 64th Annual Convention. August 2016.

PROGRAMME RCCG 64th Annual Convention. August 2016.

Amen as we all know is one of the names of our Lord Jesus Christ according to Revelations 3:14. You re therefore coming into this convention to encounter the Amen!
You will encounter Him in genuine salvation as it is His desire to have all men saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1Tim.2:4). Nothing sets free like the truth (Jn.8:32), and we re believing God for you that the freedom you may have been searching for all about will finally become yours during this convention

You will encounter the Amen in healing and deliverance. When Jesus saves, He also heals and delivers
10.On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, 11 and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. 12 When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” 13 Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.

Luke 13:10-13.

Like the daughter of Abraham in the above passage, those the enemy might have rubbed of their joy, hindered from reaching the height of their dreams such that many who started before us have caught up with us and have left us behind. For all such, we are believing God for us that in this convention, we will encounter the Amen, we shall be delivered and will henceforth gain speed, catch up with those who may have left us behind and even overtake them. It is our season of restoration.

Many will encounter the Amen in spiritual revival. It is possible your spiritual life hasn’t been what it ought to be, you are unable to pray like before, many spiritual gifts you once had has been lost, in sanctification you are no more there, and generally you have turned cold in your attitude to the things of God. In this convention, you will experience revival in your body, soul and spirit, our love for God will surge back.
Whatever may be our area(s) of need, be it material, physical, emotional or marital etc, we‘ve come to the right place, this convention is specially packaged for us. We will never remain the same anymore.

As Amen also means “so let it be”, it tells me God will be answering prayers like we’ve never seen before at this year’s convention. I therefore, will like to congratulate you ahead concerning all your unanswered prayers. They will all receive answers in Jesus mighty name. (Matt. 7:7-12)

It is therefore, our responsibility to ask you to get yourself ready for what God has in stock for all of us. Come ready for Him, pray the way you’ve never prayed before, be at every meeting and promptly also, release your faith and watch the Amen taking care of the rest. This shall be one convention you will live to remember.

Thank You Jesus.

Trial of Faith. RCCG Open Heavens. Sermon And Prayer Points By Pastor E A Adeboye.

Trial of Faith. RCCG Open Heavens. Sermon And Prayer Points By Pastor E A Adeboye.

James_1-12-1: Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him

James_1-12-1: Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him

Memorise: Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: – 1 Peter 4:12

Read: 1 Peter 1:1-7 (KJV)

1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Bible in One Year: 2 Chronicles 5:2-7:3, Proverbs 31:1-15

MESSAGE:

Faith, by its very nature, must be tried, and the real trial of faith is not that we find it difficult to trust God, but that God’s character has to be cleared in our own minds. Faith in its actual working out has to go through spells of isolation. Never confuse the trial of faith with the ordinary discipline of life. Much that we call the trial of faith is the inevitable result of being alive. Faith in the Bible is faith in God against everything that contradicts Him – ‘I will remain true to God’s character whatever He may do’. “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him” – this is the most sublime utterance of faith.

Trials of faith are difficult to bear; for they cause heaviness or depression of the mind, (Hebrews 10:32). “Why art thou cast down, O my soul! And why art thou disquieted within me?” is often the language of the child of God. But ought he ever to be cast down? Ought he not to be superior to the trials of life, and to soar above them as on eagles’ wings? No; Christianity is not Stoicism, and, if a believer does not feel his troubles, there would cease to be such, and it would not affect their purpose and design. While, he does not yield to a spirit of dejection, or allow it to overcome him, he must feel when in the furnace or trial even as did our Lord Himself. In the presence of others, however, he should endeavour to be cheerful, and the more so if he occupies a public position in the Church, so that he doesn’t discourage those around him. When Joseph’s brethren appeared before him, he felt deep emotions, and could scarcely restrain himself. He left them, therefore, that he might weep in secret before God, and then he returned, relieved of the oppressive load (Genesis 43:30-31).

“Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:” – 1 Peter 4:12

Trials of faith should be endured because they are temporary. Trials are not supposed to be permanent fixtures in life, they are for a season. A day of adversity comes, when darkness intercepts the skies, when the storm sets in on every side, when not a gleam of light shines upon the path you tread; and then, perhaps, you hastily concluded that it will always be so. But no; sorrow endures for the night, but joy comes in the morning. It is only for a while that the trials lasts, and before long there is an opening in the clouds, the sun’s bright beams burst through them again, and you are filled with hope and joy. There are some trials, which are life-long in their effects, and can never be forgotten, like a deep wound in the flesh which, though healed, leaves a scar which must be carried to the grave. But the longest trials, and those which leave the deepest wounds, are only for a season – the season of our earthly life, and in a brighter sphere we shall forget them all, or remember them only as the wounded soldier remembers what he has passed through when he returns victorious from the field of battle. May you receive strength to bear your trials and to overcome all in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Point: Father, please don’t let me fail in the trials of life in Jesus’ name.

James_1-3: Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience

James_1-3: Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience

Thank You Jesus!

Ecclesiastes_3-1: To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven

Ecclesiastes_3-1: To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven

Memorise: Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. – John 11:21

Read: John 11:21-26 (KJV)

21 Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.

22 But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.

23 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.

24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

Bible in One Year: 2 Chronicles 7:4-9:31, Proverbs 31:16-31

MESSAGE:

Situations in life sometimes portray God as being insensitive to human suffering, sorrow and pain. On this account People tend to blame God by asking questions such as, where was God when the bad act was taking place. Why did God not intervene on time? Our memory verse says,

“Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died” – John 11:21

By this statement, she was implying that the damage had been done, if the Lord had really wanted to help the situation, He would have arrived much earlier. But I have good news for you, God is never late, He is always on time. He is omnipresent; He is not bound by human timing. He knows the end from the beginning, He does not sleep or slumber, He can do all things, and forgetfulness is not part of His nature. David was obviously in the spirit when he penned Psalms 102:13 which says:

“Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.”

When talking about favour, generally, there is a time requirement involved. Some are born into favour from their first day on earth. Some enter into favour in their childhood or teen years. Others encounter favour as adults while some experience it at old age. In the same vein, some experience favour in one or two areas of their lives, while for some, when favour comes, it covers every department of their lives. Whether it comes early or later, or covers one or all areas of life, the coming of favour is characterized by a chain of goodies: bountiful joy, breakthroughs, miracles and blessings. In the scriptures, the time of favour has been termed a time of divine remembrance.

In Genesis 30:22-24, we see the case of Rachel. For many years, her womb was closed. There could be several factors responsible for this ranging from biological to divine. Although, her husband loved her very much, his love could not terminate her childlessness. Meanwhile, her sister Leah had become a baby making factory. The anguish of the barren in the midst of fruitful people can best be imagined. Genesis 30:1 says it got to a point Rachel preferred death to the unending embarrassment she was going through. Have you been in a similar situation where your high school pals are gainfully employed, own cars, and live in their personal houses while you are still combing the streets looking for a job? How do you feel when you all have to attend a meeting and everyone cruises in with their brand new cars except you? You may be compelled to keep away from them in order to avoid embarrassment. Don’t despair! Thank God Rachel’s time of favour came and God remembered her. At last, apart from having two children, Joseph, her firstborn, became an Egyptian Prince – ruling over the world. Do you know your time of favour is coming? It is around the corner. God will remember you and could even make you overtake those who started much earlier than you. It may appear as if God forgot you all these years, but your time of divine remembrance have come. Celebrate Jesus as you step into your time of divine favour in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Point: Father, let my time of favour come now in Jesus’ name.

Psalms_5-12-1: For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

Psalms_5-12-1: For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

Thank You Jesus!

Glass of Water! RCCG Open Heavens. Sermon And Prayer Points By Pastor E A Adeboye.

Glass of Water! RCCG Open Heavens. Sermon And Prayer Points By Pastor E A Adeboye.

John_13-34: A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

John_13-34: A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Memorise: For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward. – Mark 9:41

Read: James 2:14-18 (KJV)

14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

Bible in One Year: 2 Chronicles 10-12, Ecclesiastes 1:1-5

MESSAGE:

The Bible has laid much emphasis on the art of giving, especially to God, the poor, widows, and our neighbours. Galatians 6:9 enjoins us not to be weary in doing good. One good thing we must not be tired of is sowing. To access your greatest financial harvest, continuous, consistent quality sowing is required. Your first seed may open the door to blessings, but keeping the door open requires persistent sowing. Are you already calling it quits with sowing just because you cannot quantify the returns of previous seeds? Don’t! You may be closing the door it took you so much effort to open! In the case of the widow of Zarephath, it took the sacrificial cake she gave on meeting Elijah the first day to open her door to abundance. If she had stopped at that, her miracle would have expired long before the end of the famine, but she did not. She kept the door permanently open by making cakes for Elijah daily for the entire period. Your first seed must have the backing of the other seeds if you will experience your ultimate financial breakthrough. Some people have pegged their blessing or limited the space through which their blessings come. James 2:14 says:

“For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.”

Another relevant example is King Solomon. His first notable seed was when he sacrificed 1000 cows (1 Kings 3:4-15). This opened the doors of wealth, wisdom, and honour to him. But he did not stop there. In fact, immediately he got up from his revelational dream, he responded to God’s answer by offering more. And he continued and increased his seed. In 1 Kings 8:63, he gave God an offering of 22,000 oxen. Solomon continued to increase in wealth because he sustained his giving. He became so prosperous that they lost count of his wealth. In fact, 1 King 10:24-27 says the whole world sought after the wisdom of Solomon and choice things as silver and cedar become common place in his kingdom.

“What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? Can faith save him?”James 2:14 He later concluded that “faith without works is dead.”

Do you know that like King Solomon, God can bless you to the point that the business idea He gives you could be sought after by the whole world? It is possible for what people consider as priceless treasures to become common place to you. But there is a price you must pay continuously. You must not stop sowing. The door the Lord has opened to you which you were already closing by refusing to sustain your seeds will be kept wide open from today. However, play your part. Like Solomon continue to increase your seeds.

Prayer point: Father, please make me a giver and use me to provide solutions to the problems of many in Jesus’ name.

Servant Leader. Sermon And Prayer Points By Pastor E A Adeboye.

Servant Leader. Sermon And Prayer Points By Pastor E A Adeboye.

John_15-20: Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

John_15-20: Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

Memorise: If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet. – John 13:14

Read: John 13:13-17 (KJV)

13 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.

14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.

15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.

17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

Bible in One Year: 1 Chronicles 4:24-6:81, Proverbs 26:15-28

MESSAGE:

One great difference between servant leaders and self-serving leaders is that servant leaders always look at leadership as an act of service, while self-serving leaders view leadership as a high status and spend most of their time trying to protect their status. Servant leaders would embrace and welcome feedback, viewing it as a source of useful information on how they can provide better service, but self-serving leaders usually respond negatively, taking a harmless feedback as a sign of rejection. In Mathew 20:26b-28 Jesus said;

“whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.”

Servant leadership is a service to others. It is not about lobbying for a position, nor politicking for power. Instead, it is looking for the opportunity to serve. This is not attractive to the insecure soul in need of abundant attention. Servant leaders avoid the limelight and serve in ways that often go unnoticed. The little things are what make a servant leader. It may be taking out the trash at home or making the coffee at work.

No task is too menial for the servant leader; there is something bigger than behaviour which distinguishes a servant leader. It is an attitude which wants to make others succeed. He knows that if those around him are successful, then there is a good chance that he too will experience success. He is wise to want what’s best for others. Jesus served for the glory of God. His ultimate service was laying down His life in love. In Mathew 10:39, our Lord Jesus who is an example of a perfect leader says;

“He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.”

Any leader that is preoccupied with personal interests, protection of status, and preservation of positions, may not be a good ambassador of Christ. Another thing that helps you to identify a serving leader is integrity. They are usually men and women of integrity. Proverbs 11:3 says the integrity of the righteous provides him with direction. Being someone who wants to please God, there are certain things he cannot do. Anything God will not be pleased with is a no-go area or him. Being a man of integrity, he states the exact time of his arrival in the office. In fact, everyone will strive to arrive before him knowing that he cannot alter his arrival time. He cannot also compromise the truth. He will not buy something N100 and say he bought it for N500. He keeps his promises. His word is his bond. His relationship with the opposite sex is clean. He cannot take what does not belong to him. He has clean hands and a pure heart. Are you a man or woman of integrity?

Prayer Point: Father, please make me a servant leader, ever focused on Your leadership principles in Jesus’ name.

Thank You Jesus.

Justification.

Justification.

Romans_5-1: Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Romans_5-1: Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Text
Romans 5:1
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

What Is Justification?
Justification is God’s act of removing the guilt and penalty of sin while at the same time declaring a sinner righteous through Christ’s atoning sacrifice.

What Gives Us The Assurance That We Are Saved? We Are Born Again Christians?

Romans 10:9-13
9 For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. 11 As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who believes in him will not be disappointed.” 12 Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They all have the same Lord, who generously gives his riches to all who ask for them. 13 For “Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Introduction:
Many people confuse justification with forgiveness. They are two different things.
Justification is more than forgiveness.
To justify means to declare righteous. The law and justice of God demands death as the penalty of sin, but the mercy of God rescue sinners from death.

Romans 6:23
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

WHAT IS INVOLVED IN JUSTIFICATION?
1. The first one is that not only is the sin forgiven, but also the guilt and punishment of that sin is removed far from the sinner.

Micah 7:18-19
18 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. 19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

2. The second one is that the perfect and righteousness of God is given to the sinner through faith in Jesus Christ.

Romans 3:22
Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference.

HOW CAN YOU RECEIVE JUSTIFICATION?
1. Have faith and believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for your sins.

Galatians 2:16
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

2. Cry to the Lord for mercy. Therefore, if you want to be justified believe that Jesus Christ died for you and call on God to be merciful on you, a miserable sinner.

Luke 18:13-14.
And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Conclusion:
While sin condemns, Christ justifies and sets free.

Thank You Jesus.

Romans_5-8: But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans_5-8: But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Be like Jesus.

Be like Jesus.

Hebrews_12-2: Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God

Hebrews_12-2: Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God

Text:
Phillippians 2:5-11
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

1 John 2:6
Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did. (NIV)

Introduction:
God revealed Himself to man in the old testament through the prophets but none of these prophets lived like Jesus. You have every opportunity now to pattern your life after Jesus Christ.

WHAT WAYS CAN WE BE LIKE JESUS
1. In Power
Acts 10:38
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

2. In Prayer
Mark 1:35
And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

3. In Compassion
Mark 6:34
And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.

4. Evangelism
Matthew 9:35
And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

Matthew 28:19-20
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

5. In Humility
Philippians 2:8
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

6. In Obedience
John 15:10-14
10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

7. Wisdom
Luke 2:40
And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.

Luke 2:52
And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.

8. Faith
Luke 17:5-6
The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” 6And the Lord answered, “If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.

9. Holiness
Ephesians 1:4
“Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.”

10. Word
2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth

Conclusion:
Jesus said to His disciples, whoever has seen me has seen my Father.

Thank You Jesus.

Luke_2-11: For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

Luke_2-11: For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

ANGELS WE HAVE HEARD ON HIGH.

ANGELS WE HAVE HEARD ON HIGH.

Angels we have heard on high
Sweetly singing o’er the plains,
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains.

Gloria in excelsis Deo,
Gloria in excelsis Deo.

Shepherds, why this jubilee?
Why your joyous strains prolong?
What the gladsome tidings be
Which inspire your heavenly song?

Come to Bethlehem and see
Him whose birth the angels sing;
Come, adore on bended knee
Christ the Lord, the newborn King.

See Him in a manger laid,
Whom the choirs of angels praise;
Mary, Joseph, lend your aid,
While our hearts in love we raise. Amen!
