Bad Habits To Avoid While Service Is Going On In The Church.

1-Samuel_2-2: There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God

1. Chatting and receiving calls during church service

2. Folding your hands when your pastor is teaching. You are telling him that what he is saying is not worth writing .

3. Refusing to sit where the ushers direct you to sit, it shows you are disorderly.

4. Running out to pick calls with your phone ringing out so loud. This is absolute madness.

5. Lateness to church. Some people have this as an unbreakable habit.

6. Starring at every beautiful girl you see and making them uncomfortable.

7. Sleeping in church during sermon

8. Sitting down during prayer or praise session. This make you look very odd. You also demoralize the service coordinators .

9. Looking at the clock on the wall and then the watch on your wrist and then looking at the pastor’s face insinuating that he should round up.

10. Borrowing things like phone chargers, pen etc. and leaving with them claiming you forgot.

11. Always leaving the church before closure for no particular appointment, making others who choose to stay till the end of service look over zealous.

12. Gathering outside the church to discuss while service is going on.

What Would The World Have Looked Like Without Easter?

Easter-Greeting

Text: 1 Corinthians 15:12-22

What made Christianity not just a religion but a relationship between man and God, which came about when Jesus came to this world by virgin birth, went to the cross (to die for the sins of the whole world), and rose from the dead on the third day. The church is indeed unique and is following a unique Leader and Saviour, Jesus!

We must keep telling this old story of love between God and man. John 3:16

From our text, it is clear that Christianity would have been either a religion of idiots and liars or a creed of deluded folks, if Christ did not rise from the dead.

Thank God Jesus died for our sanctification and rose for our justification. Romans 4:25. This simply means that Jesus bore the punishment for our sins, by dying on the cross, and His resurrection made us to become justified before God. That is why a true believer in Christ calls himself the righteousness of God in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:21. If anyone believes in the death of Jesus, as an atonement for the sins of man, his or her sins are hidden from God and he or she passes from death/condemnation to life.

Then the question arises as to what the world (or life) would look life if Jesus had not appeared in human history? Time and space would not permit me to discuss this in detail but let me outline a few descriptions of what would have been the lot of man but for the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ:

– Man would have remained in the fallen state that the sin of Adam and Eve brought upon him.

– Forces of darkness would have kept riding roughshod on man. This is still the experience of those who keep rejecting the free gift of salvation that Jesus is offering them.
– Christians would never have had the audacity to call themselves children of God. The best they would have called themselves would have been servants and slaves of God! Unless one is born again one can never know the position of comfort that a father-son relationship offers believers in Christ. Life is about relationships. If a life is saddled with bad relationships such life is bogged down with misery. A joyous life is one full of good relationships. Jesus came to remove the enmity between God and us. This emboldens us to expect a bright tomorrow because we are children of The most high God! Hallelujah!

– Christianity or the body of Christ would have been a religion of brainwashed people. Thank God this is not so because we serve a living God through His dear Son, Jesus Christ.

– We would all have been banished from the presence of God eternally – which is the real death. John 1:29, John 3:16.

With all that the media and the business world are doing to reduce Easter celebrations to mere merrymaking, we should resist that temptation and keep our focus on the central figure of Easter – JESUS OUR RISEN LORD!

I declare that this will be the best Easter you ever had in Jesus name.

We Need A Revival.

We Need A Revival.

Psalms_51-12: Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

At a time when the church has become a ground for entertainment, we need revival.
At a time when a music minister competes and compares himself with secular musician, we need a revival.
At a time when the altar of God is used for comedy, we need a revival.
At a time when a successful minister of the Gospel is measured by how rich he is and not how much impact he is making, we need a revival.
…
At a time, when passion for souls has been replaced with fashion parade in the church, we need a revival.
At a time when motivational speaking has replaced biblical preaching, we need a revival.
At a time when you really cannot differentiate between a daughter of Zion and a harlot, we need a revival.

At a time when pastors kill each other for post and higher position, we need a revival.
At a time when modern preachers now tell us that Jesus is not coming back soon, we need a revival.
At a time when packaging and special effect has replaced the beauty of God’s glory, we need a revival.

At a time when sexual sin is referred to as weakness and the grace of God is taken for granted, we need a revival.
At a time when prophets prophesy by divination and profits from false prophecy, we need a revival.
At a time when the church does not know the difference between witchcraft spirit and the Holy Spirit, we need a revival.

At a time when filling the seats in our place of worship has become a priority than raising disciples of Jesus, we need revival.
At a time when sinners feel comfortable in our churches and saints feel no sense of urgency to preach the good news to the lost, we need revival.

At a time when pastors are more concerned about how much money members give than how much the members truly love the Lord, we need revival.
At a time when the word of God is scarce and the fire on the altar is going out, and the priests have become blind, the watchmen sleeping, and holiness is no longer our standard, we need a revival.

We need a revival not a programme. We need a reawakening of our souls and a new awareness of the power of God. We do not need another jamboree but true repentance coupled with a changed life. We do not need another noise, we need a shaking and a mighty rushing wind. We do not need another movement, we need a reformation. We need the Lord to come again and restore us unto himself. We need the Lord to open our eyes again that we may see Him. We want to see His Holiness again that we may see our depravity.

We need a genuine outpouring of the Holy Spirit, WE ARE TIRED OF SPEAKING IN TONGUES AND NOT LIVING CHRIST-LIKE.

There is no other desire that we have than to hear again the same voice that spoke in the valley of dry bones to BRING US BACK TO LIFE. Our nations are in darkness, yet we are the light. We cannot pretend anymore, Jesus come again in your power and reawaken us.

Most couples who get married do it because they are ‘IN LOVE‘ and they usually believe that the feelings that brought them together will last forever and will keep them together forever. The problem with this is that we cannot rely on feelings. Feelings can change depending on so many external factors and they often do. If your marriage is based on feelings, what then happens when the feelings begin to fade as they inevitably will? The marriage has nothing to stand on. If the only reason you got married was because you were ‘in love’ then you have no reason to stay married when the feelings are no longer there.

BEING ‘IN LOVE‘ is a great thing. Marrying without some form of emotional attachment would be sad, really. But being ‘in love’ is about the chemistry, the romance and the excitement. It’s about pounding hearts and a constant desire to want to see the person all the time. But this is what we call ‘PUPPY LOVE‘. It is good for the attraction in the beginning of the relationship. Being ‘in love’ is a wonderful thing and is needed to spice up marriage from time to time but it’s not real love and it’s not enough to sustain a marriage. Being ‘in love’ will fade so you need to expect that to happen and not be shocked when it does.

TRUE LOVE is not what you feel, it’s what you do. It is about commitment. True love cares, it gives, it gets hurt and is willing to die for the one it loves . We know this because the bible says GOD IS LOVE. He demonstrated His love for us on the cross. That’s REAL LOVE. It makes sacrifices. That’s the kind of love that makes a marriage last a life time. It is the kind of love that gives something puppy love can never do. Real love is what brings emotional, physical and spiritual oneness in marriage. Puppies and teenagers can be in love but true love is for grown-ups.

Affirm The Word Of God.

Psalms_119-11: Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

They that observe lying vanities forsake
their own mercy (Jonah 2:8).

Did you ever read about Jonah? A great fish
had swallowed him up after he disobeyed
the Lord’s instruction to go preach in
Nineveh. However, while in the belly of the fish, he
thanked God for delivering him, even though he was
still in trouble.

Jonah wasn’t saying, “O God, deliver me” or
“O God, I know you’ll deliver me from this trouble,”
No! Rather, he said, “Thank you Lord, because you’ve
delivered me.” It takes faith to talk like that.

Read the
entire story in Jonah chapter 2; it’s very inspiring!
Jonah was conscious of the mercies of God, and
that inspired faith in him. He said, “They that observe
lying vanities forsake their own mercy” (Jonah 2:8). This
is what many haven’t learnt; they gripe over the pain in
their bodies; they complain about their situation when
what they should do is declare words of faith. They get
overwhelmed by the symptoms of sickness and disease;
they observe lying vanities.

A lying vanity is anything that isn’t consistent
with the Word of God for you as a new creation in
Christ Jesus. Refuse to observe lying vanities. Those
who observe lying vanities forsake their mercies; they
frustrate the grace of God, thereby short-circuiting the
power of God from working in their behalf.

Perhaps you’re a lady, and you’ve been told the
baby in your womb can’t come out alive, or maybe
it’s a tumour or disease, and you can even feel it in
your body; refuse to be moved. Rather, declare who
you are in Christ; affirm the Word. Exodus 23:26 says,
“There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in
thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil” ; hold on to
that Word; make it your daily confession. Declare that
you’re in health, and Christ in you destroys every trace
of sickness, disease and infirmity from your body.

Never let what you see, how you feel, or
anything contrary to God’s Word run your life. Give
thought, attention and focus only to the Word. You’re
greater than any trouble in your body, or in the world.
You’ve already overcome everything that tries to work
against you. 1 John 4:4 says, “Ye are of God little
children, and have overcome them: because greater
is He that is in you than he that is in the world.”
Hallelujah!

The Lord is my Rock! In Him I stand secure forever;
He’s my all, and in Him I trust, because there’s no
impossibility with Him. His dominion endures
throughout all generations. My faith in His Word is
unshakeable, for His Word is true, and never fails.

There Are No Errors Or Mistakes With God.

James_1-17: Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning

The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and
holy in all his works (Psalm 145:17).

As Christians, oftentimes we’re faced with
tough challenges; things happen to us and
around us that aren’t consistent with our
desires, expectations and the will of God for our lives. It
may be the loss of a loved one, in spite of your prayers
and intercessions, and the situation is causing you
serious distraction in your Christian walk.

Now the enemy is throwing thoughts at you;
you even think God just wasn’t fair to you or to the
victim. In your mind, you hold Him responsible for
what happened; you’re thinking, “He could have done
something, but He didn’t, despite all my prayers.” But
the question you need to answer is, “Who is Jesus to
you?” Is it possible for Him to be charged with error?
Could He ever make a mistake?

When you find yourself in the kind of situation
we’ve described above, there’re two things to consider:
first, don’t blame God. Believe that He’s perfect in
all things; absolutely perfect. There’re no errors or
mistakes with Him. Secondly, don’t ask unwise or
foolish questions.

Recognise that at a certain point in our lives, we
need more knowledge, because when trouble strikes at
that time of ignorance, we pay dearly for our ignorance.

The situation could be directly connected to you, or
a loved one, but maybe if either you or the victim
knew better, the outcome would have been different.
It all boils down to one thing: KNOWLEDGE.

So, don’t
become overwhelmed to the point that your prayers
are all about, “Oh God, why?”

Don’t ask such irrelevant questions, and never
think He’s to blame; He often had nothing to do with it.
Rather, recognise His perfection; thank Him for always
doing all things right, and then determine to know the
Word, pressing forward with the knowledge of His
Word to change the situations that lie ahead.
Your ability to live a victorious, joyous and
prosperous life is dependent on how much of God’s
Word you know and live by. Consistently inundate your
spirit, soul and mind with spiritual information from
God’s Word.

PRAYER
Dear Lord, Your Faithfulness Is Ever Sure; You’re
Without Injustice; You’re Perfect And True In All Your
Ways! Thank You For Your Grace And Wondrous Works
In My Life. Your Word Works Effectually In Me,
Causing Me To Be Fruitful In Every Good Work, To Your
Praise And Glory, In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Prayer For Safety And Protection.

Proverbs_18-10: The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe

End all prayers in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

l cover myself, my family, and my possessions with the blood of Jesus Christ.

Let the fire of God surround and protect my life from all destruction.

Let the angel of the Lord encamp around me and protect me (Psalm 34:7).

Let Your glory be my covering and protect my back. Hold me up, and I will be safe (Psalm 119:117).

The name of Jesus is a strong tower. I run into it, and I am safe (Proverbs 18:10).

Lord, You make me to dwell in safety (Psalm 4:8).

Set me in safety from those who malign me (Psalm 12:5).

Let me dwell in my land safely (Leviticus 26:5).

Lead me safely, and I will not fear. Let the sea overwhelm my enemies (Psalm 78:53).

Let me lie down and rest in safety (Job 11:18; Isaiah 14:30).

Let’s lift our hands to the Most High God and begin to bless His Holy name, let’s give Him glory, honor and adoration, worship the King of kings and the Lord of Lords, worship the Ancient of Days, bless the Father of all fathers, the Father of the fatherless, the lover of children, give Him glory, give Him honor, the only one who does not change, the only one who does not grow old, the one who lives forever.

Let’s bless His Holy name, let’s give Him glory and honor, let’s magnify His Holy name, Thank you Father, in Jesus mighty name we worshiped. Let’s lift our voices to God and say, Father, as we bring your children to You tonight, let your fire comes down and chase away every evil from these children. Thank You Father, Glory be to God.

MESSAGE OF SALVATION
Luke 7:36-48
A woman followed steps that can make her swim in glory, she made up her mind not to die a sinner and made contact with Jesus Christ. Some of us are known sinners, no matter how terrible your sin may be you can still shine for God. Give your life to Jesus.

Every child here tonight will be greater than their parents, Joseph is a classical example of someone born to shine, he shared his dream with brothers. Every enemies of your destiny shall be subdued. Genesis 37 20 His brother planned to kill. Everyone trying to kill your dream shall help you to fulfill it.
It does not matter what the enemies may try, if you are born to shine the counsel of God shall stand. Gen 37-23-28

YOU WILL SHINE BECAUSE:
1. there is no pit so deep that is beyond the everlasting arms.

2. God knows the end from the beginning. Act 15-18, Deuteronomy 33-27, Psalms 23:1-3
3. God will not allow them to bury you alive. Numbers 16:25-33
As long as you are still breathing you will come out of the pit, you will come out tonight by shouting a very big JESUS. Ecclesiastes 9-4 If you know you are born to shine shout JESUS.
Genesis 39:1-6 Joseph was sold to slavery and he began to shine, John 8:32-36, Matthew 6:24. If you are serving Jesus you are not a slave. Corinthians 6:19-20. Anyone trying to keep you in slavery will have to deal with your master that has a name that is above every other name. Shout JESUS if you want high power to deliver you from captives. If you belong to Christ no one can keep you in prison because their is no door that can hinder The Door. John 14:6, Act 16-25-40.

Joseph’s promotion began in the prison, your promotion begins today. Genesis 41:1-44 The one that God will use to fulfill your destiny will dream tonight, Proverbs 21:1. To shine means to excel, to be the best. Daniel 6:1-3. The greatest thing for Christians is that we are going to shine before the King of kings Matthew 25, Proverbs 4-18, Daniel 12:3. Keep on winning souls to shine. Proverbs 11:30.

1. I soak every grain of this sand in the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.

2. Every word that I programme into this sand, shall become sharp arrows to pursue my pursuers and put my enemies to flight, in the name of Jesus.

3. O God, as I release this dust, let it travel to every messenger of darkness working against my life and bring utter desolation upon them, in the name of Jesus.

4. By this dust, I decree that every stubborn and long-time yoke in my life shall break by fire, in the name of Jesus.

5. By releasing this dust to my environment, every yoke of environmental poverty and hardship shall break for my sake, in the name of Jesus.

6. By faith, I sprinkle this dust against you messengers of the darkness working against my life in my environment, in the name of Jesus.

7. Any power mixing incantations with the dust against me, fall by your sword, in Jesus’ name.

8. Any problem in my life as a result of evil done with the sand against my life, die now, in the name of Jesus.

9. I command every soil particle and stone at the top and foundation of my house to become a consuming fire to torment every dark spirit within and around the house, in the name of Jesus.

10. All that have been uttered and ordained by the builder, occupant or the land owner of the house(s) I have stayed in the past, and where I am now, the various demonic utterances, invocations, spells, including charms and amulets, buried, hung or hidden in such houses, be melted by the fire of the Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus.

11. My Father, let every particle of this sand carry the fire and glory of God and let them be soaked in the power of the Holy Ghost to release favour, blessings, breakthroughs, new glorious things, opportunities, joy, salvation, glory, wisdom and enlargement upon my life and my environment, in the name of Jesus.

12. Father, let them also release judgment, confusion, civil war, destruction, scattering, fire, thunder, paralysis, sword of the Lord, and violent angels against every enemy of my life in my environment, in the name of Jesus.

13. Father, let this sand carry judgement back to the camp of any negative covering over the land of my environment, in the name of Jesus.

14. After the order of Moses, Father, let this sand bring judgement to magicians, sorcerers, and enchanters assigned against my place of dwelling, in the name of Jesus.

15. Any dark power in my environment, using the power of the dust against my progress, as I release this dust upon my environment, storms of fire shall swallow you, in the name of Jesus.

16. You dust, hear the word of the Lord, you will no longer carry out evil instructions against me, in the name of Jesus.

17. Every dark power afflicting my environment, scatter, in the name of Jesus.

18. I paralyse all evil legs roaming about for my sake, in the name of Jesus.

19. I destroy every evil property and demonic operation in my house, in the name of Jesus.

20. All occult covenants binding on my dwelling place, be dissolved and rendered impotent, in the name of Jesus.

21. I shall prosper in the land of the living, in the name of Jesus.
