Its getting clearer now, …why I was born.

I just saved a life who would have possibly died mid air in the aircraft I was a passenger in.

I was on seat 14F of BOEING 737-300 of AZMAN AIR from Kano to Lagos.

Suddenly, his head dropped.

A passenger on seat to my far left on the other side of the aisle.

The Indian man sitting besides him screamed and called the attention of the air officials.

The Indian said it seems the man passed out.

We were still several thousands of miles above sea level.

Far from Lagos our destination.

As it is with my nature, I was listening to some music with my earpiece on board this flight. I was rocking myself head forward and backward, my hands slightly moving up to the powerful music of SHOW US MERCY by Will Adiks.

The movements to the unconscious passenger got my attention.

I removed my earpiece.

In 5 powerful long strides I got to the dying patient.

To the Air Hostesses, “I am Dr James King. I want to take over. He is deteriorating fast.”

The Air Hostess said, “Ok sir. Go ahead.”

And she gave me way.

I quickly checked his pulse around his radial artery. It was small volume, irregularly irregular rhythm.

I shouted, “Any doctor, nurse or paramedic here?”

No response.

All the other passengers on board were staring at me with a forlorn look.

As if there was an impending danger to all of them.

I turned to the immaculately dressed 3 Air Hostess around me. “We can save this life together. His life depends on us now.”

I turned to one of the hostesses, “Can you please get us all the medical boxes and kits in this aircraft”

She responded, “Ok sir” and walked fast away.

I asked two other male passengers to help me lift the dying man from his seat to the aisle between the aircraft seats, …so I can have more space to start my intervention on him.

We placed him on the ground.

I immediate positioned him supine and also freed his respiratory airways by tilting his head backwards a bit.

I again asked, “please can I have any cloth or anything to support his neck.”

The air hostesses removed their top suits and handed them to me.

I was encouraged.

I folded two of them and placed them under the neck the of dying man.

At this point the dying man was already having rolling up eyes, …all white.

I listened to his apex heart beat.

It was very weak and faint.

I knew in seconds, he would be dead if I don’t do something fast.

I commenced CPR (Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation) on him.

He responded.

Then he began to convulse uncontrollably.

At the top of my voice, I shouted “Can someone get me Diazepam please?”

An air hostess ran somewhere to get it.

It was 30 minutes before landing.

If nothing was done fast he will die in less than 10 minutes.

I repeated CPR again.

And again. And again….

I listened to the heart using my stethoscope.

Some mild activity commenced.

I turned to the chief air Hostess, please call Murtala Mohammed Airport and tell then to arrange an Ambulance before our landing.”

She said, “Right away” and began to rush toward the cockpit to inform the Pilot to do so.

When I was sure the patient’s ventilation improved a bit, I quickly withdraw 5 mg of Diazepam and gave him straight intramuscular on his buttocks.

Returned to the supine position again.

Commenced CPR.

Checked his radial pulse.

I then announced to everyone that… “I AM buying time. He will survive.”

I was on the floor of the aircraft kneeling around him.

Monitoring every single thing I can pick from his reflexes.

The chief air hostess came back.

I asked her, “How many minutes do we have more to land?”

She said, “in 5 minutes.”

I again announced to everyone on board, “HE will survive.”

Then there was a loud sudden noise in the aircraft.

Then we landed on the runway.

Three men/passengers carried him.

We evacuated him very fast out of the plane.

At the foot of the plane there was no ambulance waiting.

I was visibly angry and now shouting at the top of my voice to all the airport officials.

That the ambulance is at the other side.

In a rage I said to them, “This is wickedness. We did all our best with God’s help to keep this man alive for 30 minutes and you people could not even get an Ambulance to wait here?”

Someone suggested that he should be taken in one of the Toyota Hilux van.

I said “No, it will kill him before we get anywhere”.

I screamed, “Any clinic in the airport?”

That was when their brains came back to default reset and they chorused, “Yes.”

I said to the good men still carrying him let go.

That was when we rushed him to the clinic you are seeing in the photo of this post.

Its the airport clinic that is close to the Arrivals of the Murtala Mohammmed airport, Lagos.

I explained everything I did and the medications given to the doctor on call.

She took over.

Then I walked out and looked up to heaven and said, “I know You are involved in this. Thank you Lord.”

Addendum:
I actually came to Lagos for a humanitarian programme, an aboslutely FREE Medical outreach that is poorly funded meant for the sick and abandoned Prison inmates at Kirikiri Prison.

Beloveth, He’s called Jehovah Jireh, the Lord our Provider.

One touch of His favour can turn things around.

Keep praying,

Keep believing,

Keep expecting.

Don’t get tired of doing what’s right.

Don’t start complaining about how bad it is and what’s not happening.

Stay in faith.

When you’re tempted to get negative, turn it around, “Lord, I want to thank You that this is my due season”.

Encourage Yourself.

Jeremiah_17-7-2: Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.

“David was greatly distressed, for the men spoke of stoning him…But David encouraged and strengthened himself in the Lord his God.”
1 Samuel 30:6 AMP

TODAY’S WORD:
It’s good to have friends and family around to cheer you up when you’re down, but in order to truly live in victory, that encouragement has to come from the inside. When your mind is telling you it’s not worth it, when your circumstances seem difficult, deep down inside, your spirit has to have the resolve that says, “I refuse to settle where I am.” That’s what David had to do. He was facing a major setback. His family was taken away, his city was destroyed, and his own people were now against him, but he still managed to encourage himself in the Lord. How did he do that? He replayed in his mind the victories from the past. He recounted God’s faithfulness. As he rehearsed over and over the goodness of God, strength began to rise in his heart.

There are so many places you can see the hand of God at work. Thank Him for saving you today. Thank Him for the miracle of life. Thank Him for His faithfulness. Focus on the fact that God didn’t bring you this far to leave you now. Stir up that inner strength and encouragement. As you do, you’ll rise higher and higher and live the life of victory the Lord prepared for you.

New Google Ranking Factors For Websites And Blogs.

I’ve been privileged to see several transitions of Google indexing rules, I’ve watched algorithms come and go, even some silent changes and tweaking happening on Google’s search result page. In all these, one thing has not changed, Google still loves to feature most relevant contents to search queries.

Before now, the concentration has always been on the content and bloggers/web owner got away with a lot of gimmicks like keyword stuffing (funny enough people still do this), targeted first paragraph, rewriting title tags, testing keyword density, asking to click search result multiple times to see it go up in rank, creating footer links of several blogs, using old domain to setup a blog and many more.

But now, it’s no longer about the bloggers or web owners, it’s about the users. Unfortunately, it’s even beyond how SEOed your contents are. It’s beyond the word count or quality of your contents. Google is returning power to the users visiting via search results, these metrics becomes the determinant.

For easy understanding, I will break this down into two: User Interface and User Experience (UI and UX)

The UI and UX has always been part of us. Infact any experienced website developer will understand that this must be checked on the list of a good website.

User Experience is simply creating a products or providing information that are meaningful and relevant experiences of your users. No too much grammar.

This UX in a way can help you generate more leads since customers finds it user friendly, gain more presence, and keep customers converting even without a landing page (though I recommend).

Away from the common terms and my effort to break this down… this is how Google understands user experience.

For Google, UX is measured and determined in 4 ways:

1) Your Time on Page (how long unique visits stays on your site/site)

2) Your Loading Time (measured via webpage size, scripting and http page request)

3) Your Bounce rate (how fast users switch to other sites from your website)

4) Your Content engagement (length, relevance and count/replies count, also measured via page authority)

Technically, all these factors are intertwined. This makes the measure pretty easy for Google because, if your loading time is high, there will be increase in bounce rate, hence, zero time on page and no content engagement. You see that? It’s easy to measure.

Let’s says some user were born with patience and they got past the loading time but your site isn’t easily navigated, time on page will be affected. The long and short of this is that one can affect the other.

To increase your user experience, i found some questions to consider:

* Who comes to this website?
* What problem do they need to solve?
* How will they use the information provided on the website?
* How would they like to get this information, and when do they need it?
* What mental model do they apply to understand the information?
* What do they want to get out of interacting with the website?
* How does delivering the information visitors are seeking also meet your business objectives?

Answers to these questions to would help you channel your blog information or product towards relevance which is exactly what Google wants on their search result page.

You might be wondering how I’m discussing contents and I’m not talking about keyword research and all the stuffs you’ve read online before now, well, that’s where the problem is. I’m thinking more as an SEO experimentalists while stating reasons you’ve great contents and stills not ranked. Like I said, Google is thinking more than just contents. Obviously, content is no longer king but user experience.

From my experience over the years, what ranks on Google ranks on other search engine. Especially if it’s on first page on Google, there’s possibility of having it ranked on first page (even if at the bottom) of other search engines. It’s obvious Google is the most used search engine and hence the attention and concentration for traffic.

1. Thank You, Father, for the gift of children to the body of Christ, and for the grace to see the beginning of another new day.

2.Father, in any way I have fallen short of your glory, please, have mercy and forgive me, in Jesus’ name.

3. Father, please, give me the grace to pay adequate attention, to the spiritual well-being and growth, of my immediate family members, in Jesus’ name.

4. Father, I commit the spirit, soul and body of my children into Your hands, please, help me to train and nurture them in Your way, and cause them to grow daily, in You, in Jesus’ name.

5.Father, when I shall appear before You, to give account of my stewardship over my family, please, don’t let me be found negligent, in Jesus’ name.

9. I soak myself in the blood of Jesus; I declare that my children will not grow up to be wayward children; they will grow to serve the Lord, in Jesus’ name.

10. Father, bless your son, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, and, keep all his children, biological and spiritual, forever, on the path of eternal life, in Jesus’ name.

11. Father, bless Your son, that You have been using to prepare these prayer points, beyond measures, and all those who have been rebroadcasting them, in Jesus’ name.

12.Father, let every challenge, hindrance and obstacle of getting these prayer points across to Your children, timely, and on daily basis be removed, in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Lessons Of Life.

Proverbs_1-7: The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction

Learn to ignore and overlook many things if you truly want happiness in life, because the easiest way to a miserable life is to think that everybody is talking about you.

Never allow anyone to steal your joy from you.

What people say behind your back is none of your business as long as you are true to yourself. Never worry yourself about that.

Sometimes minding your own business does not keep people out of your business.

No matter your situation in life people will always talk. You can never stop people from talking about you, what you can do is to stop giving them what to talk about.

There is a time limit for every rumor in life. Never allow freelance broadcasters put your life on hold. Do what makes you happy. Anyone who cannot feel your pain, has no right to judge you in life. Seventy percent of those who talk bad about you behind your back, wish to be like you.

When people can’t be like you they try to bring you down and condemn what you have. Those without money will sarcastically say money is not everything in life. (Is poverty anything?)

Never allow anyone to put you in a position of depression and self pity in life. Those whose life has no joy will always find every means to remove happiness from other people’s life.

If there is the GRACE of GOD in your life, then enemies are inevitable. If no one has ever gossiped or talked bad about you, it means nothing good has ever happened to you.

Never feel bad when old friends become new enemies. They are just tired of pretending to be friends.

Never allow the opinions of people who didn’t see your tears stop your laughter in life. You don’t owe anybody an explanation to be happy.

Never see yourself through the eyes of those who don’t value you.

To be beautiful means to be yourself. To stand out is to be outstanding. You do not need to be accepted by others. You just need to accept yourself.

Never beg anyone to accept you for who you are. Anything you acquire through begging will require begging to maintain or retain.

Be humble but selective. Being selective doesn’t mean you are arrogant or proud. It simply means you know your worth. If you are conscious of your personality avoid too much familiarity.

Sometimes when you treat people too much like celebrities, they end up treating you like an ordinary person. You are equally important.

Never downgrade yourself while trying to upgrade anybody in life. Anyone who sees you like an option doesn’t deserve to be a priority in your life.

The dream of a fool is for everybody to become a bloody fool like himself. Avoid negative people if you have a dream. Those without mission will say your vision is just an illusion.

Negative minds will never give you a positive life. Anyone who is always reminding you about what is wrong with you has a personal problem which he/she wants to take out on you.

Most people spend half of their entire life analysing the faults in other people’s life, when their own lives need urgent repairs.

Never worry yourself about enemies and friends, because everybody in your life will eventually fall into one of the two categories.

Some will hate you and some will love you. Loving you or hating you are both in your favour.

When people love you, you live peacefully and happily in their hearts, and when people hate you, you become the landlord in their head living painfully in their brain every day and giving them sleepless nights.

1. Thank You, Father, for the gift of life and for all that You have blessed me with; there is nothing that I have, that has not been given to me, from above.

2. Father, in any way I have fallen short of your glory, please, have mercy and forgive me, in Jesus’ name.

Men Have Pains Too….

A woman said to me, ‘It took me years to really know that men cry too. I took my husband for a super human. I see himh leave the house everyday and come back providing for us. One day as I have left the house and he was at home, I remembered that I needed to take something along, I turned back and headed home. As I got home, I tried going through the back door which was closer to the window of our room. I heard my husband crying like a baby asking God to help me get a job so I can help him fend for the family. He has never complained to me before but that day, I broke down in tears realizing that my husband has held much of his pains alone”

A young married lady went to her mother and complained that her husband has not always bought things she wanted from him. The mother asked her, ‘How many of those things have you bought for yourself?”. She stayed quiet and said, ‘But he is my husband?”. The mother replied her, ‘Have you ever found out the things your husband wants you to buy for him?”.

Men always try to hide their pains.

A woman was invited to preach at women conference and as she was preaching, she asked all the working class women to stand out. They humbly did. And she asked them, ‘When you get your salary, how much do you give to your husband as a seed?”. Before your money gets to anywhere else, the priest in your life which is your husband should get something from you. Even if he is a rich man, sow seed in his life. Sometimes, we women don’t know that our husbands need something from us”.

Men can be financially broke and pretend to have everything.

Most men are married but they have lonely life. Sometimes, ask your husband out. Men are not always busy as women think.

You have to understand that your husband has pains and needs too. Don’t judge him by things you want from him. Sometimes, your husband doesn’t have things you want.

Men also have emotional needs and problems. Men still cry for love.

Why I Pray In The Name Of Jesus.

Proverbs_18-10: The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe

(1) Anything I ask The Father in Jesus Christ name, He will give me.

Jesus said:

John 14:23-24
23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. 24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

(2) The Name of Jesus is above every other name.

It is written:

Philippians 2:9-11
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

(3) In the Name of Jesus powerful things happen.

Jesus said:

Mark 16:17-18
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

(4) Those who use the name of Jesus experience the miraculous.

It is written:

6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. 7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. 8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

(5) The name of Jesus is Wonderful, and wonderful things happen in His name.

It is written:

Isaiah 9:6
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

(6) The name of Jesus is a Strong Tower, the righteous run into it and is safe.

(7) The Name of Jesus brings salvation.

We live in a very trying and perilous times.
A very dear friends undergraduate’s 17yr old son got drowned at the Dome hotel pool in Abuja last weekend.
He was in the company of his friends. The friends didn’t report to the hotel management what happened nor to the deceased’s (Emmanuel Balogun) parents.
They went back to the school (University Abuja) hostel immediately after the incident.
On Monday a young girl from Uni Abuja called the mother of the deceased that they did not see Emmanuel her son in class. She went further to tell the parents it’s like something has happened to Emma and ended the call.
The mother called back the line but it was switched off. She notified her husband & they immediately placed a call to their son’s number and it was off.
They drove that Monday night to their son’s hostel but met his absence. They now got information that a party was thrown for fresh year students over the weekend at the Dome hotel in town. They set forth for the hotel.
The hotel management told them there was a case of drowning in their hotel over the weekend & directed them to the police. The police now led them to the mortuary, lo & behold it was their son.
Yesterday morning, myself & the deceased uncle went to the police to see the CCTV footage of what transpired at the hotel. What I saw and later heard yesterday was unbelievable.
From the CCTV, we noticed the deceased entered the pool with 3 of his friends and around 3.33am he started struggling in the pool. His friends where all watching him until he stopped struggling and drowned. They all left the pool immediately and one took his handset the other took his trouser and brought out the money inside the pocket and wore his shoes. They left the hotel around 4.18am according to the footage we saw.
The police went to the school & effected the arrest of the trio and management of the hotel.
At the DIG’s office yesterday afternoon, I heard something that has being giving me cold shivers all through yesterday and right now.
One of the boys said that he wanted to raise an alarm to save the boy but the other two boys asked him not to. That the deceased is always doing shakara because his father his rich, he went further to say that the other one said all the girls are always admiring the deceased so he should let him be joor.
These are just mere 17/18yr old boys. Watching the CCTV footage where the friends were watching him drown and collectively decided, cos there was a time they grouped together to discuss for about a minute & from the confession of one of them is not only traumatic for me but also disheartening.

They watched their “Friend” die out of jealousy & envy. According to them, it was the deceased that paid 2k each gate fee for them and also bought fish and juice which they all drank.

These are mere teenagers with that kind of heart. My people, be extra careful for people you call your friends. According to the DIG, A lot of people are being murdered daily cos of envy from friends.

No doubt, There are good and wonderful friends but also, know ye, there are also friend-enemy everywhere. So be extra careful and prayerful cos the love of many has really waxed cold. The young man was buried today amid tears.
According to the wishes of his parents but his wicked friends & hotel management are still in police custody at the force headquarters as we speak.
May none of us bury any of our children or young ones in Jesus name. Amen.
Beware of jealous & Envious friends they are more lethal and toxic than acid.

Romans_8-18:For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
(Habakkuk 2:3)

Has God told you something and it has not yet come to pass? Are you beginning to doubt and are you becoming impatient? As you read the word of God in today’s text, receive comfort. Hebrews 6:18 says, it is impossible for God to lie and Titus 1:2 states that God cannot lie, while Numbers 23:19 states, “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
This is an established fact for our Lord Jesus says in Matthew 18:16, “….. by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.”
Believe the Scriptures! Hold on to what God has told you He will do.
Pray and encourage yourself in the Lord. Entertain no fear as to whether He will keep His promise. God never fails. He will make all things beautiful in His time. Though it tarries , it shall come to pass. Shalom!!!

Everyone you marry has a weakness. Only God does not have a weakness. So if you focus on your spouse’s weakness you can’t get the best out of his or her strength.

Everyone has a dark history. No one is an angel. When you get married or you want to get married stop digging into someone’s past. What matters most is the present life of your partner. Old things have passed away. Forgive and forget. Focus on the present and the future.

Every marriage has its own challenges. Marriage is not a bed of roses. Every good marriage has gone through its own test of blazing fire. True love proves in times of challenges. Fight for your marriage. Make up your mind to stay with your spouse in times of need. Remember the vow For better for worse. In sickness and in health be there.

God cannot give you a complete person you desire. He gives you the person in the form of raw materials in order for you to mould the person that you desire. This can only be achieved through prayer, love and Patience

Every marriage has a price to pay. Marriage is like a bank account. It is the money that you deposit that you withdraw. If you don’t deposit love, peace and care into your marriage, you are not a candidate for a blissful home.

There are miracles happening all around us every day.

James_1-17: Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning

There are miracles happening all around us every day. Our God is a miracle working God, and He does miracles so great all the time. Life is a miracle, the birth of a new born baby is a miracle, creation in all of its splendour and majesty, are signs to the greatness, majesty and miracle working power of our God.

Our God is the God of wonders! I encourage you to believe as the psalmist said, “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.” (Psalm 68:19). The word ‘selah‘ here, means to stop, ponder, meditate, think about and take it in for a moment. Meditate on the scripture and thank God, “Father, thank you, that you daily load me with benefits.” “Today is the day of my salvation and I will praise the Lord for His goodness!”

I dare you, to declare boldly, “Father, I thank you, that You are my benevolent benefactor and You bless me today.” “Today, I boldly declare that I am the blessed of the Lord and the seed of Abraham through Jesus Christ.” “Yes, I am the seed of Abraham and His blessing rests on me!”

I believe, because of the promises of God, that there are miracles happening in our life on a daily basis and we need to recognize the hand of God and appreciate Him, praise Him and thank Him for it.

In the book of Psalms it says, “My covenant I will not break, Nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips” (Psalm 89:34). Here God declares He will not break His covenant promises to our lives. God swore this covenant promise to Abraham and His Seed! The seed that He was referring to here, was Jesus Christ our Lord and our Saviour. Galatians 3:29 says, “And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

Joshua_1-8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success

. 1. True promotion originates and comes from God (Psalm 75: 5-7). Oh God, turn my blessing around and increase me on every side in the name of Jesus.

2. I command the Jacob that is still alive in me and fighting against my Israel, your time is up, die in the name of Jesus.

3. Oh God, make me what you have intended for me in life, in the name of Jesus.

4. I declared in the name of Jesus, this year must not expire without my testimony becoming real, in the name of Jesus.

5. I command all those miracles and promises of God that is still far away from me, run tome now by force, in the name of Jesus.

6. By the power that spoke to the raging sea, Oh Lord, silence every raging problem in my life, in the name of Jesus.

7. I command all my standstill breakthrough and miracle, advance by fire in the name of Jesus.

8. I command in the name of Jesus, my blessings shall be real and problem be paralyzed totally, in the name of Jesus.

9. I command every game plan and trap of the enemy for my life, I refuse to fall there in, in the name of Jesus.

We can speak in tongues and miss heaven.

Romans_5-8: But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

We can “win souls” and miss heaven.

We can see vision and miss heaven.

We can prophesy and still miss heaven.

We can cast out devil and miss heaven.

We can perform miracles and still miss heaven.

We can read the whole Bible and miss heaven.

We can attend all church services, fellowship activities and camp meetings and miss heaven.

We can have anointing and miss heaven.

We can have all spiritual gifts and miss heaven.

We can be rich, prosperous and wealthy and still miss heaven.

We can give and sow seeds and still miss heaven.

We can wield power and be influential and still miss heaven.

We can have a powerful voice to sing and miss heaven.

But we cannot LIVE A HOLY LIFE and miss heaven.

HOLINESS IS THE REAL DEAL!

“Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.” (Leviticus 20:7)

“O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.” (Psalm 96:9)
