Safety is of the Lord

Song:

Grace, grace God’s grace. Grace that will pardon & cleanse within.

Grace, grace, God’s grace. Grace that is greater than all our sin. [Refrain]

Text:

Proverbs 21:30-31

No man or any creation of God can take counsel or manifest wisdom against the Lord. Such will surely fail.

The Alpha & Omega gives success, victory & of course safety belongs to Him. He knows the end from the beginning.

The world is battling with Covid-19; but He has kept us safe. It is His divine will for us. Psalm 91:10 remains our portion.

What Is The Basis Of Our Belief That We Are Safe?

There is safety in the blood of Jesus. Exodus 12:13 is my witness. As we plead that blood, we remain safe.

There is safety in the name of Jesus. Philippians 2:9-10. Also, Proverbs 18:10 affirms it.

There is safety in the spoken Word of God. The Word of God is the only thing that will NOT pass away. See Isaiah 40:8. How much of these Words do you know? Study & meditate on it daily. 2 Timothy 2:15 is relevant. So for Joshua 1:8.

There is safety in praise & worship. 2 Chronicles 20:22. Not just safety alone, but victory too.

There is safety in the hill of the Lord. Let’s do all we can to ascend. But who shall ascend? Psalm 24:3-4 provides the answer.

Prayer Points:

Isaiah 66:12. Father, please grant me peace like a river, with your glory flowing like a stream around me & comfort me on all sides!

Isaiah 42:16. Are you seeking the Lord’s guidance or direction on some issues? Remember, He is the Light in the darkness. Cry unto Him: Father, for the rest of the month, illuminate my thoughts & order my steps.

2 Samuel 24:25. Father, please accept the fruit of our lips & take away this plague [Covid-19] from Nigeria & indeed the rest of the world!

Genesis 8:1. God remembers, just as He remembered Noah & his family. Cry unto Him: Father, remember me & my loved ones & send help to us.

Present your personal requests to Him.

Let us share the grace ….

Tarrying in the upper room

To tarry is to wait, to linger, to remain or to sit back in expectations.

Upper room is an abode where God meets and communicate with his children.

It is a designated place where you commune with God daily .

It is room of transfiguration where you meet with God to study his word, meditate on the scriptures. It is a place where God reveals important things about your life and others to you.

When you tarry in the upper room, it means you are waiting on God in prayers.

When you tarry , you receive strength isaiah 40:30, you can also wait for provision psalm 62:5,

You can wait for direction proverbs 3:5-8. We can tarry for God’s will to be accomplished Hebrews 10-36.

It is beautiful to wait on the Lord.

We are all waiting on the Lord now in the world and I pray that he will answer us speedily in Jesus name, Amen!

We must tarry like Noah, he waited and later gained salvation for himself and his family.

Hanna got tired of her situation and she tarried at the upper room and her samuel came forth
1Sam1:12-16.

King Solomon after his enthronement waited on the Lord and God blessed him

Daniel in Dan 9:3-19 waited on the Lord for Israel and God answered him .

Jonah in Jonah 2:1 prayed to the Lord from the belly of the fish and God answered.

Brethren, there is no better time to tarry than now and I pray that as we do the one who answered all these people of faith will answer us in Jesus name.

Brethren we must tarry to receive power from on high. Daddy GO told us the importance of tarrying during our just concluded conference.

We must give God our time. We must stay calm before him to receive instructions from him. You want to manifest the power of God, then patiently tarry at the upper room for the Lord’s arrival , obey all his instructions then you will be empowered to launch out.

God is always ready for those that request his attention. The question is are you ready? Isaiah 65:24. And it shall come to past that before they call I will Answer and while they are yet speaking I will hear.

Growing in the school of holiness requires persistent time alone with God.

Power and authority to wait patiently upon the Lord shall come upon us this season in Jesus name.

PRAYERS
1 Father, grace and auction to tarry in the upper room release unto me in Jesus name.

2. Father, After the order of Samuel help me to remain calm to hear you clearly in Jesus name.

3. Father, incubate me with the grace to pray in Jesus name.

4. Father, help me to hear you clearly as tarry in your presence in Jesus name .

5. Father , please reveal deep secrets to me as I tarry before you in Jesus name.

6. Father, as I tarry in your presence make me untouchable I’m Jesus name

7.Father , please help me to please you in all I do so that I will reign with you eternally in Jesus name.

Thank you Lord for answered prayers in Jesus name.

Destiny destroyer

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” – Jeremiah 29:11

1 Kings 11:1-11 KJV

1 But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites;

2 Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love.

3 And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart.

4 For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.

5 For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.

6 And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father.

7 Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon.

8 And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods.

9 And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice,

10 And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded.

11 Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.

Destiny is God’s purpose for a man’s life. It is a divinely pre-planned destination. It is the totality of God’s counsel for a person and what God has decided concerning a person even before conception (Jer.1:5).

As good as it is, at several points in life, it still depends on one’s attitude and agreement with God. God has a prepared destination for us and we must surrender totally to Him so as to avoid destiny destroyers that may want to scuttle God’s plan for our lives (Jer.29:11).

SOME DESTINY DESTROYERS
BIBLICAL INSTANCES

1. SOME DESTINY DESTROYERS

LACK OF KNOWLEDGE:

Lack of knowledge is a destiny destroyer (Hosea 4:6; Proverbs 29:18). If we are aware of our destiny, we shall be free, focused and fulfilled.

Failure to do so may lead to destruction. John 8:32; Isa.61-9; Heb.11:13.

PURSUIT OF VANITY:

Solomon pursued so much of vanity until he became a complete backslider. The privileges of wealth and lack of self-control ruined his destiny (Eccl.2:10-1, 1 Kings 11:1-10).

LACK OF FAITH:

Lack of faith is also a destiny destroyer (Hebrews 4:2; 1 Tim. 1:19).
PRIDE: Pride is excessive self-esteem. It is when you are filled with an exciting sense of credit due to yourself. Pride is a sin and it leads to loss and destruction ( James 4:6; Dan. 4:28-32; Prov.29:23)

SINFUL LIFESTYLES:

Sins not confessed and forsaken are dangerous because they provoke God to anger. A man who is living in sin cannot fulfill his destiny or attain destination which God has promised (1 John 3:4).

ANGER:

Anger is another destiny destroyer. Uncontrolled emotional outburst has led many people out of God’s purpose for their lives (Eccl.7:9; Pro.29:22).

PRAYERLESSNESS:

Prayerlessness is can cause the enemy to take advantage of a man’s destiny (Matt. 13:25; 26:41; Luke 18:21).

BIBLICAL INSTANCES
There are cases of people who, by one means or the other, had their destinies destroyed. They include: Solomon. (1 Kings 11:1-11), Samson. (Judges 16:6-18), Judas Iscariot (Luke 22:2-5, Matthew 27:3-5), Demas (2 Tim.4:10), Gehazi (2 Kings 5:20-27), Reuben (Gen.49:3-4), Achan (Joshua 7:24-25).

CONCLUSION:

Run away from destiny destroyers and make up your mind to live a life that will enhance the fulfilment of your destiny.

QUESTIONS:

Mention five destiny destroyers that you know.

Identify four cases of people whose destinies were destroyed from the scriptures.

ASSIGNMENT:

Give ten (10) examples of people who fulfilled destiny with relevant bible passages.

Redefine. At a time like this

“For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” -Philippians 1:21

A genuine encounter with Jesus Christ compels us to re-define the guiding principles of our existence.

So does surviving a serious illness, accident, or pandemic. After his life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ on the road to Damascus, (Acts 9), Apostle Paul had to re-define his purpose in life.

After experiencing the faithfulness of God in difficult circumstances, Joshua did the same when he declared in Joshua 24:15: ‘..as for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord.’

In those circumstances, you do not need anyone to preach to you about God’s faithfulness.

You do not also require anyone to explain to you what the mercy of God, or His compassion means. Neither do you need any serious prompting to re-define the things that really matter in life.

It is obvious that covid-19 has changed the world for good. Thus, it can no longer be business as usual.

We must choose whether indeed we are on the Lord’s side or not. We need to re-define our life’s priorities, whether to continue to place greater premium on worldly things that have proved meaningless and unhelpful as we hide away from the killer-virus, or get closer to a loving God who, despite our unfaithfulness, has shown us such undeserved mercy.

In Luke 11:23, Jesus said: “He that is not with me, is against me; and he that gathereth not with me, scattereth.”

As believers and especially christian workers, we need to re-define how we serve God. Are you sure that Jesus is truly your Master? Jesus said in Mathew 7:21, that it is not everyone who calls Him Lord, that is truly His.

That means there are fake believers and fake christian workers. This should worry anyone who really desires to go to heaven. Do you have peace in your heart in the manner that you serve God? As a worker in God’s Vineyard or even a Pastor, are you absolutely sure that you are serving God with genuine commitment, honesty of purpose and without any skeletons in your cupboard? Are you distracted? Do you have another secret master?

When you kneel to pray or step on that sacred altar of God, do you experience peace or guilt in your heart? Roman 6:1 warns that we cannot continue in sin and expect God’s grace to increase in us. That means, a time may come when grace may cease in the life of the unrepentant.

When grace ceases, heaven closes and mercy stops to drip.

God forbid!

True Christianity is not a tea-party. Neither is it rocket science.

All that is required is genuineness of motive and a reformed heart.

Paul was a lettered man, yet he put aside his worldly reputation to serve God with total attention, humility and obedience.

Peter was a needy fisherman, yet he abandoned the greatest haul of his life, to follow Jesus.

They both had one thing in common: they totally re-defined their live’s priorities after encountering Jesus.

And they never regretted their choices.

You too can become a Peter or a Paul, if you choose to.

May you never know a better yesterday in your walk with the Almighty God, Amen!

Shalom.

Romans 8:37
When you are anointed, you are not just an ordinary champion, You are a divine champion. You are a divine champion because the anointing of the most high is operating in your life.

2 Kings 1:9-12, 2:9-15 (Elisha said he wanted double and he got it)

What Anointing can do/Categories of Anointing.

2 Kings 6;8-23, A man of God arresting those that were sent to arrest him, that is the kind of anointing we are anointing we are talking about.

Anointing makes you more than conqueror, because there is a greater ally in you, 1 John 5:4. Mark 16:17. When you have this kind of anointing, you don’t bother about demon. Isaiah 54:16-17, 15, Deut.28:7.

Major challenge of living the anointed life.

1. If your ally departs:

You are nothing on your own. Everything you can achieve through the anointing is that God is with you but if the ally departs then the story will change. Judges 16:4-21

How can God departs, ways your ally can depart,

John 15:1-7, If you are not fruitful. If you are a worker or a minister and you have not won a single soul in a year, you have to watch out,

Revelation 3:15-16. Make up your mind as a worker/minister not to be lukewarm. If you don’t want to do anything for God, get out of the way.

if you are lying. Revelation 21:8, Psalm 101:7.
Why God hates lies

2 Kings 5:20-27 – Ghehazi got leprosy for lying

Acts 5:1-11 – Ananias & Saphira. They die the same day for lying.

Don’t out your signature in a report that is false.

The basic distinction between God and the devil is lie, John 8:44, Numbers 23:19, John 14:6

A child of God tells the truth at all times while a child of the devil tell lies always. Lies no matter how little will cause the Almighty God to stay away.

Lies is not just one fellow born by one mother.

It has a brother who is called hypocrisy, 1 Timothy 4:1-2. In the past one month, how many times have you lied. Angers of hypocrisy presently white as black is severe, Job 8:13, Job 20:5, 15:34 (Desolate). Watch it my brother.

it has a sister called flattery. Another word is exaggeration. Presently facts that are not accurate, Proverbs 26:28

What happens to flatterers

Job 17:5, if you flatter your friend, even the eyes of your children shall fail.

Job 32:22, The flatterer will die young. Don’t flatter, say things exactly as they are, it is crucial.

Psalm 12:3, the Lord will cut off all flattering leaves.

Why is the mouth the issue
It is with the mouth that you do evil things, flatters and exaggerate, Why?
Proverbs 18:21
2 kings 2:19-22
2 kings 2:23-24

Use your tongue to heal not to kill
Use your anointed tongue to win souls
Use your tongue to cast out demon, to command the lame to work. Stop lying, stop hypocrisy, stop exaggeration, sing praising to God, pray without ceasing. If you don’t have anything to do or say, be quite. Don’t misuse your tongue so that the Almighty God will jot depart from you.

Psalm 141:3
Lord the next time I want to lie, shut my mouth, don’t let me lie.

Ask God for mercy for all the lues you have lied in the past. Pray to Almighty God never again to exaggerate, never again to flatter and pray in the sp

Mark 16:15-20

Topic:

The Anointing

What is the anointing?

It is the power or ability released from God to man to perform miracles, signs and wonders.

Anointing flows like a river, river flows from the top to the bottom.
Anointing flows from God the father, Jeremiah 32:27, the one whom nothing can be too hard for. It flows from God the father, to God the son, to God the Joly Spirit, Luke 4:16-21, Isaiah 61:1-3.

God the father the one who can do all things anointed God the son. You will discover that according to Isaiah 9;6, the son is called wonderful which means full of wonders. He heals all those who came to HIM. Mathews 8:16, He even raised the dead, John 11:39-45.

The anointing kept flowing down, from the son to His representatives, Mark 3;13-15, Mathew 10:40, John 14:12. The anointing flows from God the father to God the son and from God the son to the disciples and from the disciples to the believers, Mark 16:17-18. The anointing can reach you, when the anointing reaches you, you can do all things, Mark 9:23, including Moving mountains, Mark 11:22-23.

The anointing is not to stop with you, you must allow the anointing to flow on through you, Acts 1:8. The same Holy Spirit that fell on the day of Pentecost is that same anointing that is in you since the day you gave your life to Christ, Acts 2:1-4, 1 Corinthians 12:4.

When that anointing reaches you, put it to work and it will amaze you what will happen. Acts 3:1-8.

What can stop the flow?

1. Doubt:

if you have any doubt in your mind, that can stop the anointing, Mark 11:23. You must not doubt. The devil may try to convince you, tell the devil what he will do when you pray for the sick and the sick get healed. Who are you going to believe, the devil or God. I think it is better to believe the Almighty God.

2. Wavering;

James 1:5-8. Don’t waver. If He can use a fisher man, He can use anybody. It doesn’t matter whether you are highly educated or not. Don’t wave.

3. Sin:

Isaiah 59;1-2. The power of God is mighty and more than ready to use you, but He expects you to be clean. He expects you to be Holy, Hebrews 1:9. How much of God anointing you want will be determined by how much you hates what He hates and you love what He loves.

4. You must stay under authority, Luke 7:1-10.

5. You must pray more, 1 Thessalonians 5:17. Spent enough time praying. The longer you pray, the better.

6. You must pray more in the Holy Spirit, Romans 8:26-28. Pray in tongues at least one hour everyday. There is no way you will pray in the Holy Spirit and you wont get the answer.

7. When the anointing comes to you, don’t abuse it. Don’t commercialise the anointing. The anointing of God is not for making money, the anointing is not for sale, Acts 8:1-13. Freely you receive, freely you must give.

8. Make sure you use the anointing for the will of God. Anything that is not used will be withdrawn, Mathew 25:14-30. Use the anointing coming upon you to witness, cast out demons, heals the sick and it will multiply.

Jesus said, come and drink. How much time are you willing to spend drinking. The almighty is bringing to you, the river of anointing, how much are you willing to drink, how thirsty are you? Spend time in prayer seeking for the Almighty God and He will soak you with the anointing.
John 20:21;

Prayer

Song

All the glory must be to the lord for he is worthy of our praise no man on earth shall give glory to himself .

Father we thank you for the life you have given to us up till this day. we give you all the glory for your church though we are not gathering physically your church is still marching on.

Thank You because we know you have answered in Jesus name we pray amen.

One of our stronghold as believers about God is that he is faithful when he promises he bring it to pass.

Deut 7:9 said know therefore that the lord thy God he is God, the faithful God which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and his commandment to a thousand generation

2 Timothy 2:13 said If we believe not yet he abideth faithful, he cannot deny himself.

What is going on in the world today can bring discouragement to many people, my prayer is that we shall not be discouraged in Jesus name amen.

Psalm 91 :1 said He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty.

Brethren the shadow of the Lord is very large that it can accommodate millions and billions of people, but is only for those that love him and keep his commandment.

That is why Daddy G.O will always use the word my children, he is referring to those that love God and keep his commandment.

In this challenging time may we continue to dwell in his secret place so that his shadow will remain our cover in Jesus name amen.

Finally 2 thess 3:3 said But the lord faithful, who shall stablish you and keep you from evil, the lord will keep our household from all evil, He will keep the church from all evil in Jesus name amen.

Prayer 1

Father in your mercy bring evil to an end in our land and the world at large

Prayer 2

Father by the resurrection power of our Lord Jesus Christ let everything that is dead in me receive life.

Thank you father in Jesus name amen.

Repair

Luke 15:18-“I will arise and go to my father, and I will say unto him: father, I have sinned against heaven and before thee.”

In the race of life, damage is often done to the most precious things, but because of the almost perpetually ‘in-motion’ lifestyles that we live, we hardly pay needed attention or create the time needed to repair them.

Sometimes, pride, position and status prevent us from taking necessary repair steps. Yet, unless repaired, the damage may cost us eternally.

One of the unexpected blessings of a time like this, is that it affords us the opportunity to repair these precious aspects of our lives.

1. Health.
Jethro, Moses’ father in law, warned him in exodus 18:17-18-‘What you are doing to yourself and these people is not good; you will soon wear out through stress.’ He therefore advised him to delegate responsibilities and give his body rest.

Holiness is not a substitute for good health. Many believers have died before their time because of over-used physical bodies not allowed to rest, repair and recover.

This is the time to repair your health, through proper rest, adequate sleep, exercises, appropriate food and lack of worry. God rested on the seventh day after creation. The scripture records instances where Jesus rested and slept, to repair his physical body. God is giving us a chance at this time, to repair, heal and re-invigorate our physical bodies. Please, don’t miss it.

2. Family.
In the race for success, many have neglected and done serious damage to their family relationships; husband and wife; parent and child; sibling and sibling; relatives etc.

Families are vital to God. Eli was the major prophet of his time, but he was ruined due to his failure to properly attend to his family, 1 Samuel 27-36.

Even when he was warned, he failed to take steps to repair the damage.

Have you sacrificed your family for career, ministry, business, etc? Is your marriage just a shell? This is the time to find the courage to repair the damage.

In the parable of the prodigal son Jesus demonstrated the necessity for us to repair broken family bonds. Be bold and courageous, do it NOW.

3. Friendships.
Proverbs 17:17 says, ‘A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.’

This is the time to repair, renew and re-invigorate valuable friendships. Make a call to that old friend. Send him or her an sms. Show that despite the years and distance you still care and value them. Even if they’ve hurt you in the past, learn to forgive, as Jesus showed us in our text. As you age, you’ll find that there’s nothing more precious than family and old friends.

4. Spiritual Life
Beloved, the most important relationship in your life is that between you and your Maker God Almighty.

Are you sure you’ve committed to it as much as you should? Have you wondered off like the prodigal son?

This is the time to return, repair and solidify your walk with God. Like the father of the prodigal, God’s merciful hands are outstretched to receive you.

Even as a church worker, minister or pastor, you must be careful not to mistake familiarity or service intimacy with God.

Intense church activity does not necessarily translate into a right-standing with God.

Remember the very important warning of Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 9:27. May you not be a castaway after you’ve spent your life-time, preaching to others.

Attend to your own soul now, in all honesty and truth, so as to be sure that you are on the heavenly path.
Please stay safe and remain blessed.

Shalom.

Our time are in your hands O Lord

The wings of the cherubim cover me. The Lord Jesus loved me, and gave himself for me, and my times are in those hands which were nailed to the cross for my redemption.

Praise and worship

Thank you Jesus the owner of my soul, Alpha and Omega you are worthy to be praised, in all generations there is no one like you, Alpha and Omega you are worthy to be praised.

Bible passage is Psalm 31: 15
“My times are in thy hand.”

Father we thank you for another opportunity in your presence. We thank you oh Lord for the gift of life, for the sacrifice of your son our Lord Jesus Christ. The sacrifice he made has given us another chance to be free from sins. As we go into fellowship with you this first morning after Easter, give us better understanding of the times we are in and cause us to know that that except you keep us, we only try in vain. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen!

DAVID the psalmist: his life was spent with grief, and his years with sighing. His sorrow had wasted his strength, and even his bones were consumed within him. Cruel enemies pursued him with malicious thoughts even seeking his life. At such a time he used the best resource of grief; for he says in verse 14, “But I trusted in thee, O Lord.” He had no other refuge but that which he found in faith in the Lord his God. If enemies slandered him, he did not render railing for railing; if they devised to take away his life, he did not meet violence with violence; but he calmly trusted in the Lord. They ran hither and thither, using all kinds of nets and traps to make the man of God their victim; but he met all their inventions with the one simple defense of trust in God. Many are the fiery darts of the wicked one; but our shield is one. The shield of faith not only quenches fiery darts, but it breaks arrows of steel. Though the javelins of the foe were dipped in the venom of hell, yet our one shield of faith would hold us harmless, casting them off from us. Thus David had the grand resource of faith in the hour of danger. Note well that he uttered a glorious claim, the greatest claim that man has ever made: “I said, Thou art my God.” He that can say, “This kingdom is mine,” makes a royal claim; he that can say, “This mountain of silver is mine,” makes a wealthy claim; but he that can say to the Lord, “Thou art my God,” hath said more than all monarchs and millionaires can reach. If this God is your God by his gift of himself to you, what can you have more? If Jehovah has been made your own by an act of appropriating faith, what more can be conceived of? You have not the world, but you have the Maker of the world; and that is far more. There is no measuring the greatness of his treasure who hath God to be his all in all.

Having thus taken to the best resource by trusting in Jehovah, and having made the grandest claim possible by saying, “Thou art my God”, the Psalmist now stays himself upon a grand old doctrine, one of the most wonderful that was ever revealed to men. He sings, “My times are in thy hand.” This to him was a most cheering fact: he had no fear as to his circumstances, since all things were in the divine hand. He was not shut up unto the hand of the enemy; but his feet stood in a large room, for he was in a space large enough for the ocean, seeing the Lord had placed him in the hollow of his hand. To be entirely at the disposal of God is life and liberty for us.

The great truth is this-all that concerns the believer is in the hands of the Almighty God. “My times”, these change and shift; but they change only in accordance with unchanging love, and they shift only according to the purpose of One with whom is no variableness nor shadow of a turning. “My times”, that is to say, my ups and my downs, my health and my sickness, my poverty and my wealth-all those are in the hand of the Lord, who arranges and appoints according to his holy will the length of my days, and the darkness of my nights. Storms and calms vary the seasons at the divine appointment. Whether times are reviving or depressing remains with him who is Lord both of time and of eternity; and we are glad it is so.

“My times are in thy hand,” . Whatever is to come out of our life, is in our heavenly Father’s hand. He guards the vine of life, and he also protects the clusters which shall be produced thereby. If life be as a field, the field is under the hand of the great Husbandman, and the harvest of that field is with him also. We are not in our own hands, nor in the hands of earthly teachers; but we are under the skillful operation of hands which make nothing in vain. The close of life is not decided by the sharp knife of the fates; nor by any deadly virus but by the hand of love. We shall not die before our time in the name of Jesus, neither shall we be forgotten and left upon the stage too long.

What a bliss this is! Our times, in all their needs and aspects, are in God’s hand, and therefore God is always caring for us.
Wilt thou not feel how good it is that God should come so close to thee, and handle thy bread and thy water, and bless thy bed and thy board? Brethren, is it not a delightful thing for us to know that though we are on a stormy voyage, the Lord himself is at the helm? ” our times are in God’s hands” and there we will leave them.

When the devil comes with his subtle questions and insinuations, refer him to your Lord, in whose hand your times are placed. Do the malicious resolve to crush you? They will use to the utmost their little power; but there is a higher power which will hold them in. Rejoicingly say, “My times are in thy hand.” Do they treat you with contempt? Do they sneer at you ? What does that matter? Your honor comes not from men. ” Cleave to the Lord in losses as well as in gains, and so let all your times be with him.

If my times are in God’s hand, no man can do me harm unless God permit. Though my soul is among lions, yet no lion can bite me while Jehovah’s angel is my guard.

To leave our times with God is to live as free from care as the birds in the air. If we fret, we shall not glorify God; and we shall not constrain others to see what God can do for us in the hour of tribulation. Fret and worry put it out of our power to act wisely; but if we can leave everything with God because everything is really in his hand, we shall be peaceful, and our action will be deliberate; and for that very reason it will be more likely to be wise. He that rolls his burden upon the Lord will be strong and his days shall be as the days of heaven upon the earth.

I always admire the serenity of Abraham. He never seems to be in a fluster; but he moves like a prince among men. He is much more than the equal of the greatest man he meets: we can hardly see Lot with a microscope when we have once seen Abraham. Why was that? Because he believed in God, and staggered not.

Half the joy of life lies in expectation. If we believe that all our times are in God’s hand, we shall be expecting great things from our heavenly Father. When we get into a difficulty we shall say, “I am now going to see the wonders of God, and to learn again how surely he delivers them that trust in him.” I thank God I have learned at times to glory in necessities and by marvellous deeds, he supplies all my needs, according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus! Surely it is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. Recent events around the world have shown us that the arm of flesh will fail us

Prayer points

Thank God for this month and ask that God gives us the grace to celebrate more Easters in Jesus’ name.

Sacrifice

John 15:13-“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Easter reminds us of the immeasurable sacrifice made by our Lord Jesus Christ, at Calvary, on our behalf. He willingly laid down His sinless life, to pay for our sins, redeem us from the curse of law, and reconcile us back to God. As grateful recipients of such great grace, we must not only embrace the blessings, but also imbibe its lessons. A few of the lessons are as follows:

1. We must each live a life of sacrifice in emulation and appreciation of the benevolence of our Savior and Redeemer. As He died for our sins, so we must also die to sin, living daily, a fasted life, in honor and acknowledgment of His Greater Love. To continue to live in sin, is to despise His sacrifice and become accessories after the fact, with those who mocked and humiliated Him.

If truly we believe that He died for a good cause-our cause, then the best way to remember Him is by living for that same cause, by remaining dead to sin and alive only in Him, Galatians 2:20. We do it, not for Him or to pay Him back, for we can never afford to, but for ourselves, to sustain the victory that He bestowed upon us at Calvary by the shedding of His Blood.

2. In sacrifice, Jesus put our consideration ahead of His own personal consideration. Likewise, we must put Him first, before other considerations, in our lives. Other interests and affections must come only after our Savior has been considered, not the other way round. Incidentally, this is one of the important lessons humanity is learning from covid-19. Thankfully, for believers, Jesus already taught us that lesson, more than two thousand years ago to put the Kingdom of God above all else. Covid-19, is only a timely reminder to us of the worthlessness of earthly riches. For us, as was for Apostle Paul, ‘to live is Christ, and to die is gain’- Philippians 1:21. Our primary concern daily must therefore be to do God’s Will and to please Him, before and above all else.

3. As He gave to us, we must equally give unto others, not tokenly, but sacrificially. The Cross epitomizes the virtue of giving exhaustively. God gave us His Son exhaustively. Jesus gave us His life exhaustively. What and how are we giving to others, if indeed, we are joint heirs with Christ, in our Father’s Kingdom?

Are you a giving-heir, or a receiving-heir? Is the Church today a giving church, or a receiving church? In this crisis, is the church really giving as Christ gave, or simply engaged in tokenism? Are we giving our best as Jesus gave us His best? What would Jesus do in response to the present crisis, were He still physically here?

Are believers individually and the church corporately, representing Him well? There are many around us who lack, especially at a time like this. We must give to them sacrificially, as true followers of Christ. ‘Sacrificially’, means it costs you some serious pain. It takes away from you something you would have preferred to keep to yourself.

At Gethsemane, Jesus felt the agony of the sacrifice He was about to do and prayed the Father to spare Him of it, but realizing the necessity of it, not for His sake, but for the sake of Mankind, He surrendered His life in painful sacrifice. Sacrificial giving can be a tough call especially in a season of general scarcity, but that is exactly the essence of Easter, and the true message of the Cross.

Remember the Widow of Zarephath, 1 Kings 17:9-17. If you horde what you have, and shut your ears to the cries of the needy at this time, whereas, you are in a position to put a smile on their faces, you are being ungrateful and proving yourself unworthy of the sacrifice of Christ at Calvary. You are like the wicked servant in Matthew 18:23-34, whose master was kind to, but who refused to be kind to others. Eventually, he lost all. May that not be your portion, in Jesus name.

In conclusion, note that only those who truly die with Christ, will rise with Him on the last day. Will you be in the number? Your choice will determine the answer.

Stay safe and God bless.

Shalom.

Christ has risen

MARK 16:1

BIBLE PASSAGE

Mark 16:1-8
1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.

2 And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.

3 And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?

4 And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.

5 And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.

6 And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.

7 But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.

8 And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid.

INTRODUCTION

Christ has risen.

Jesus is risen.

For Him to rise means He was dead; the dead came back to life.

Revelation 1:18
I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

We celebrate the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at a time like this.

This is the most important fact of the Christian message and not necessarily that Jesus was born, but rather that He accomplished His mission.

1 Corinthians 15:14
And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

But glory be to God, Jesus Christ is risen!

WHAT DOES HE IS RISEN MEAN TO US AS BELIEVERS?

Christ has risen means:

1). The sun is rising.

Mark 16:2
And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.

This implies there is a new dawn, a new beginning, a new era.

The First and The Last rose on the first day of the week.

The Sun of Righteousness rose at the rising of the sun

Amongst other things, He rose with healing in His wings.

Malachi 4:2
But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

Father, because Jesus is risen, arise for me, O Sun of Righteousness, with healing in Your wings.

2). There is hope.

Mark 16:3-4
3 And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? 4 And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.

The wonderful women of three, two Marys and Salome, wondered among themselves, who shall roll away the stone from the grave, as they pondered on the hopeless situation before them.

On getting there however, the stone had been rolled away.

Hopelessness was replaced with hope, because He is risen.

Father, because Jesus is risen, every stone obstructing my hope, please roll them away.

3). He is not locked-down.

Mark 16:6
And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.

In the world of today, we are on a mandatory lock-down; at home, at rest, and at play.

But consider this, He is risen means that Jesus Christ is not locked-down.

The angel in the grave said He is not here.

No grave could keep The King of kings locked down.

No darkness could keep The Light of the world locked down.

No stone could keep The Rock of Ages locked down.

Jesus of Nazareth is risen, and cannot be locked down.

Father, because Jesus is risen, everything causing this lock-down, destroy them today.

4). He is alive.

Mark 16:6
And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.

He is risen simply means He is alive!

This means that the dead can come back to life, because The Resurrection and The Life is alive.

John 11:25
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

Dead body parts can come back to life.

Dead dreams can come back to life.

Dead destinies can come back to life.

Dead businesses can come back to life.

Dead things can come back to life, because He is risen, and is alive.

Father, because Jesus is risen and is alive, bring to life, every good thing that might have died in my life today.

5). He has a message for all, and for one (disciples and Peter).

Mark 16:7
But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.

He is risen means that Jesus has a message for all his disciples, and a personal message for you.

The angel told the women to give His disciples and to give Peter a message.

The message was for all, and for one; for the disciples, and for Peter.

His message to all His disciples is simple:

Mark 16:15
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

His message to Peter was that I will restore you so you can strengthen the brethren.

Luke 22:31-32
Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: 32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

Father, because Jesus is risen, that personal message you have for me, please help me receive it with gladness.

6). He is on the move, leading the way.

Mark 16:7
But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.

That Jesus is risen is an indication that He is on the move, leading the way.

The angel said that He was going before the disciples, He was going ahead of them.

The risen Jesus remains the greatest Leader of all times, and leads His sheep that hear His voice.

John 10:1-4
1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

Father, as Jesus is risen, and is on the move, leading the way, all my days, help me hear your voice, and follow You closely.

7). He has done what He said He will do.

Mark 16:7
But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.

The last point here is that He is risen means that He has done what He said He will do.

He said in Mark 14:28 that after He is risen, He will go before the disciples into Galilee.

Mark 14:28
But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.

This was exactly what happened; what He said, He did.

All that He has said concerning you, He will also do, in Jesus name.

Father, in the name of Jesus, as Jesus is risen, everything you have said over my life, please bring them to pass.

CONCLUSION

Christ has risen, so you have every reason to shout Hallelujah this season.

Finally, because Christ has risen, defeat, delay, doubt, discouragement, dashed expectations, depression, and death are over in your life, never to rise again, in Jesus name! Amen

Happy Easter

Hallelujah! Glory to our risen Saviour Jesus Christ

Hallelujah!!!

Glory to our risen Saviour.

I’ve word of exhortation for you today.

Luke 24:5-6 says ”But the men said to them, why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!”

Beloveth, this is the Ultimate event that’s indescribable. The betrayal of Jesus, his arrest, his judgement, his condemnation, his 39 floggings with cain, the humiliation, the woven crown of thorns, the parade, the cross, the nails on his hands, the nails on his feet, the piercing on his side.

His agonising and unbearable pains. His father forsook him.

The crowd mocked him. He prayed for their forgiveness.

He declared “IT IS FINISHED.” He died. He was buried but today. HE HAS RISEN.

HALLELUJAH to the Lamb of God.

You also will rise from the corona virus pandemic lockdown in Jesus name. Amen. Be expectant.

Jesus is coming soon.

Happy Easter Beloveth!!!!

Text: Matthew 28:1-7

Between every two days, there is a night. Day here signifies a period.
It could be months or years. Job 1:1-3, Job 1:13-2:10

After the night in Job’s life came the second day. Job 42:10-17

The second day lasted 140 years while his night lasted 9 months.

The first day of Jesus came when He was born. Luke 2:8-14

In the first day:
Miracles followed. John 2:1-11,
Deliverance followed. Mark 5:2-3
Healings followed.
Joy followed. Luke 7:11-15

And then came His night. Matthew 27:45

His disciples abandoned Him. Matthew 26:56

There was sorrow all over the land.

And then fear led to a lockdown. John 20:19

His night lasted only 3 days and then came Day 2. Matthew 28:1-7

There was a great earthquake to signify to His followers that all yokes had been broken. Acts 16:25-26

An angel came (An angel is enough to take out over 100,000 men. 2 Kings 19:35)

The angel rolled away the stone and sat on it to signify permanent victory.

As from this resurrection morning, when your enemies see you coming, it’s either they run or they faint in the Name of Jesus. 1 Samuel 17:45-51

From today, your victory will become irreversible.

His second day:
+ Jesus is alive forevermore! Revelation 1:18

He is not only alive, He is in control.
Whether the world likes it or not, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess.

We have hope in Him. Colossians 1:27

Beloved Children, see yourself making the lame to walk.
See yourself casting out demons and they will obey you. Acts 16:16-18
See yourself working special miracles. Acts 19:11-12

A sinner can prevent his morning even when God is saying come into your morning.
John 3:18-21

Come out of sin, come into the day and your own resurrection will dawn. 2 Corinthians 5:17

If you reject the offer of the Lord Jesus, you can only be headed for hell.

If you haven’t given your life to Jesus, bow your head and cry to Him to save your soul.
Ask that this resurrection morning will be your own new day.

The grave could not hold Jesus down

(Act 2:24)

The grave could not hold Jesus down because God took away the power and agony of death over Him and “used Him as a contact point to restore relationship with man”

Christ left the cross and the grave 2020 years ago, and our yearly celebration of this miracle has become a mere routine for many (religiosity without reciprocity)

Since the day’s of John the Baptist, those that discover the kingdom of God (relationship with God) have taken it by force (stopped at nothing in maintaining a relationship with Him)

As you celebrate the risen Christ today, “step away from the usual routine and let something new arise in your body and spirit as a mark of new level of relationship with God”

Happy Easter

Good morning!

May the power of resurrection avail for you and family now and ever.

The same power that raised up Jesus from the dead shall quicken your mortal bodies.

In place of sickness there shall be healing.

God shall protect and shield, guide, lead you and speak mercy and grace upon you in Jesus name.

Happy Easter.
