Having just celebrated Easter, I’ve been thinking a lot about Jesus’ last hours before the crucifixion. A book I’m reading right now highlights how the Garden of Gethsemane is where Jesus’ humanity “gushes out.” It is such a raw scene, painful. In light of Romans 5:12-21, I think it’d be useful and fruitful to compare the two most famous garden scenes of the bible: Gethsemane and Eden. The first Adam and the Last Adam (1 Corinthians 15:45).
