I can so easily live my life as if it will go on forever. I’m so caught on maybe next time, dilly dallying and waiting for the best moment yet to come. Yet losing someone I love recently reminded me not to save the best for the last. Because the best is ME, HERE, where I am RIGHT NOW, brightly lit and painfully now.

Lord I know I may not have as much time as I think. I pray to let me experience all that life has to offer and to offer all that I am to You for the remaining years of my life. Teach me, Lord, to number my days, so that I might grow in wisdom, so that I might live each day in the best possible way with the people that matters to me the most. Help me to strive to fill each day with value…
