“Freeing Myself” – The Grey and the Wayfarer

Ed Raby Sr's avatarThe Grey Wayfarer

Happy Sol’s Day!!!

It been a long time, but long overdue. Here I am writing. This year has been very hard from “The Grey” point of view. I have been existing without any real purpose and I am finally getting sick of it. The boredom and loneliness have been pretty much the cause of me shelling up. COVID be damned because I still could do a lot of things right now – writing among them.

It’s the whole damn situation again that bothers me.

I miss dreaming of a better future and then going out and achieving it. I haven’t achieved anything I really wanted this year and it sucks. I am not sure what is causing what at this point – Is the Grey causing my lack of ambition or is it the other way around.  All I know is it is a vicious cycle for me.

“Circle Routine Focused on Progress” – The Rabyd Skald

Ed Raby Sr's avatarThe Grey Wayfarer

Happy Sol’s Day!!!

The real problem is now how to take four simple goals and make daily progress on the whole thing. This has in the past always come down to routine. In his case through the idea is to do the routine with reward at regular steps so it is a little different. No workday or rest day routine here. The only difference between a workday and a off day will be that I should accomplish more on my off days simply because I have more time.

The way it works is cyclical working though the routine and then starting over when it is completed. What keeps it moving is the time or more concrete goal for each step when it is done to move on to the next thing. My priority starts with health, then career, then writing, then my YouTube channel, the rinse and repeat.

THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT

Daily Prayer No. 99

prayerfromtheheart's avatarPrayer From The Heart

Thursday Morning Prayers
MERCIFUL God, whose loving-kindness and faithfulness are new every morning, we once more thank You with heart and lips that You have bade us arise from our beds in health and peace, and have preserved our bodies from harm and our souls from sin. How great is Your goodness, O Lord, so that men trust under the shadow of Your wings, and find there a secure refuge.
Once more we behold the daylight, give us therefore grace to walk in the light, and avoid the works of darkness. May we count that day as lost wherein we have bowed to the service of the evil world, and ruled our lives by its fashions and follies, of which we shall have to give account at Your judgment-seat. Let us rather consecrate ourselves to Your service; . in all our wishes, thoughts, and undertakings may we seek what is…

Sunday (3.19.17)

Jeschel's avatarJeschel26 Diaries

Sunday for, is absolutely church day. Since I became a Baptist and undertood what’s going to Church every sunday means, I made it a rule that I will not be available for anything else other than going to church. I am not an angel, a righteous, good or holy person just because I go to church, no that’s not it. It also doesn’t mean that some people doesn’t go to church they’re a bad person. NO definitely not. :)

My own reason of going is because of what have Jesus done for me on the cross of Calvary 2000 years ago. HE paid my sin. He died for me and You. I will not suffer anymore the terror and pain of Hell after I die because He paid it already with His Blood. I accepted the Gift of Salvation already. Accept it too, my friend.it’s not the religion, the church…

Redeeming the Time

M. S. Bickford's avatarBecoming A True Pilgrim

I come from a liturgical tradition (Anglicanism). In this tradition there are many ways we mark the passage of time. We have holidays, liturgical season, feast days, etc. One of the most important, if underutilized, ones is the Daily Office.

The idea of ritualization of time goes back at least as far as Exodus 29:38-42, where God instructs Moses on how to make daily offerings. The Didache (written in the late First Century) gives instruction on which days to fast on and on how to recite the Lord’s Prayer at least 3 times per day. By the time the New Testament Canon was established in the Fourth Century, there was a set pattern of prayers throughout the day. When St. Benedict established his monastic system in the seventh century, it revolved around the regular schedule of prayers throughout the day. The examples continue to the present…

Punishment or sacrifice ?

Guardian's avatarChristian Chat & Forum, Blog

Lambs Lambs (Photo credit: Andrew Middleton)

God sent His only Son as a sacrifice so that we might be released from death ! .  But in Deuteronomy 18:10 it states “that sacrifice as in burning is prohibited ?,  yet we read about Gehenna and the fire

Could it be that it is not so much the the sacrifice but whom we sacrifice too ?, then there’s the death Angel passing over [or the passover Lamb]

Hebrews 11:28 – [Exodus 12:13 for the Lord, seeing the blood sprinkled, as above, when he smote the
firstborn of Egypt, passed by the houses of the Israelites, ]

And Numbers 31:17 [Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man,]

Could it be that sacrifice is prohibited unto gods, but in general not prohibited unto God ?. So in effect you could say…

Class Report on the Study of Courage

chaplainmiller's avatarthehopeforlife

We recently completed a study on the principles on Courage. We had four separate class times with approximately 8-10 guys in each class. We studied the principle of direction, conflict, criticism, confrontation, morality, correction, pressure, judgement, forgiveness, and ownership. At the end of the class I asked each man to write a report on how this study had affected them. The following is a summary of what they wrote.

Lamond-This study of Courage has allowed me to rethink how I approach people and to always think before I speak and to listen to the other side because to every action there is a reaction with consequences.

Terrance-This study of Courage has broken everything down for me that I didn’t know about others and myself, it has had an effect on my life to change band be a better person. I look over these principles daily!

Leonardo-This study on Courage has…

Today’s Prayer

JB's avatarStaticPoetBoy

Today’s Prayer
Sometimes, Jesus, you irritate the devil right on out of me. Like when you showed up as the crabby woman who will be 70 in two years and has lost a few pounds (and she praised your father loudly for in the sanctuary while I was on my knees trying to be holy enough to talk to you). When you plucked the flower out of the vase in front of the blessed Virgin Mary and put it in your hair it brought out the best in both of us.

Amen

Abundant Waters

StopAndPrayTV's avatarStopAndPrayTV

Strike the rock, and water will come out of it for the people to drink. Exodus 17:6

In Australia, a report outlined “a grim story” of extreme drought, heat, and fire. The account described a horrific year with only minuscule rainfall, turning parched brush into tinder. Raging fires torched the countryside. Fish died. Crops failed. All because they didn’t have a simple resource we often take for granted—water, which we all need in order to live.

Israel found itself in its own terrifying dilemma. As the people camped in the dusty, barren desert, we read this alarming line: “There was no water for the people to drink” (Exodus 17:1). The people were afraid. Their throats were dry. The sand sizzled. Their children suffered thirst. Terrified, the people “quarreled with Moses,” demanding water (v. 2). But what could Moses do? He could only go to God.

And God gave Moses odd…

Mind your Mind

archecotech's avatarReflecting on Anselm

When you manage to overcome your own mind, you overcome myriad concerns, rise above all things, and are free. When you are overcome by your own mind, you are burdened by myriad concerns, subordinate to things, unable to rise above. “Mind your mind; guard it resolutely. Since it is the mind that confuses the mind, don’t let your mind give in to your mind.”

Biden is destroying the U.S. in many ways

Cry and Howl's avatarCry and Howl

Ah yes, the ol’ blog is still here. It’s been so long I didn’t know if WordPress bumped my site! I’ve been so busy with my semi-retirement duties (Rina seems to find all sorts of projects for me!) I haven’t had much time to write much. I can’t contain myself any more after the building up pressure watching team Biden take a wrecking ball to America in about 100 days. I’m thinking about just taking a few topics and giving my humble opinion on each and hopefully folks will comment with much more wisdom than I have.

Okay, I read this article about the staggering rise in lumber cost (280% since ‘pre-pandemic’ cost) and that the rise is nothing but conspiracy theorists fueling a fake crisis. I kinda have to scratch my head while reading the loony liberal take on the thing. I really can’t figure out whether the writer…

Muggy day

caged2bfree's avatarAmazing Grace

I’ve been super lazy today.  Didn’t go to church.  Thought about taking a shower, still haven’t done that either.  Rain does that to me.

I’ve also been in my head today.  Maybe too much because I want to act on my thoughts.   I’m fueling my eating disorder and I’m not sure what has caused this.  It just happens.

My family is watching football.  I could care less.  I’m torn between forcing myself to be social or staying in my room where I feel content and safe.   Recovery is hard.

Withdraw The Weapons of War Today!

MyReflectionMeditation's avatarMyReflectionMeditation

From the past, according to history and eye-witnesses, weapons of war had been paraded widely – people stoned and many keep stoning figuratively, which lead to stoning literarily. Reflecting on such circumstance or rather circumstances that led to feud among individuals within people groups, gave me the inspiration to receive this message, believing it would set much free back to the tranquil state of being. Thereby, correcting those things bluntly or crudely dealt with, I mean regaining one’s sense of freedom and fulfillment.
Why Stoning?

And one of them struck the servant
of the high priest and cut off his right ear.
But Jesus answered and said, “Permit even this.”
And He touched his ear and healed him.
Luke 22:50-51 NKJV

It is common to accuse the innocent people, who never dreamt of deceiving anyone because they have a conscience which directs them to love others without reservation, giving as…
