Cleaning out my computer, I found these pictures that break my heart and bring a smile to my face at the same time. This is a story that Mandi wrote and illustrated soon after she first came to us as a foster child, even before she was adopted, as you can see by her last name in her story.

This short little story is a powerful testament to the importance and value of both fostering and adopting. I applaud anyone who has done so or is doing so now. The funny thing about adopting Mandi is that with foster children, you are at least somewhat prepared to say goodbye because that is part of the arrangement. You provide a safe home of transition essentially. But my parents adopted her, which meant that we were not supposed to have to say goodbye.

Scouts is a great thing. I have been a scout since the age of fourteen and I love it. Apart from when politics in scouting overtakes the fun.

I am currently a scout leader and although I have only been doing it since October, I have since discovered that the values of district are imposed onto leaders to a point which they either have no freedom or have no life. Now I love scouting but when I start to feel like I’m not having fun anymore then there is clearly a problem.

The other leaders are also not very helpful due to the fact that they complain so much about stuff but that is because they take on too much. Remember how you crushed that belief system by taking not one, not two, not three, but four solo trips within the last three years? Insecurities and trust issues go hand and hand. They correlate with each other and I am being more and more aware of that each day.
I am being completely transparent today because I feel that it will help someone who is having the same issue as I.
God is slowly but surely healing me and making me whole as we speak but in order for him to do that he is calling out all the hurt in my heart that I have ignored.
I didn’t even know how jacked up I was until he revealed to me my issues via dreams and visions and gave me revelations on why I have them.
I’ve been dealing with a load of insecurity and its to the point where I am actually annoyed. The reason I couldn’t get rid of it is because I wasn’t 100 percent sure of its source.

GOOD TRAINERS: I can’t tell you how important a good pair of trainers is. If you use shoes that are cheap or run-down, you’ll get blisters, and a poor work-out. Invest money in a pair of shoes that fits right, are comfortable, and will last for at least a year

WORK OUT PANTS: a tight pair of workout pants is good for women , men too can go with the tight work out pants, but if you feel better in lose fitying pants , you can rock them too.

BAND AIDS:  Band aids are essential because you don’t want an excuse to skip your cardio, even if you have a blister or two. This helps against tampering with any blister that you may have.
