Myles and I called ourselves ‘twin brothers’

Myles, my twin brother is gone up to glory

Ruth, his partner in life and death has gone to eternal rest

Faith and I miss you both!

Our moments together on this side of the Jordan were most memorable.

We stayed together on several occasions under the same roof

We lodged in same hotels time and again; we shared the platform together preaching the good news of the Kingdom over the years.

Our friendship of over 24 years was a most enriching and adventurous one,

Our partnership in ministry was also a most profitable and rejuvenating one.

It was a beautiful day in town with so much to see and do. Any outdoor seat could have guaranteed great people watching, but on an early spring day like this, walking and window-shopping were in order.

I strolled past the front window of a nearby antique shop. Sunlight reflected in a hundred directions as it struck crystal glasses lined along a shelf. The rainbow of sparkles caught my eye so I stopped to look. My mother has glasses like these, I thought. On a shelf below was a huge punch bowl. Also similar to hers.

Staring at these pieces reminded me of a conversation I once had with a coworker. A pre-virus, in-person discussion, long before Zoom meetings replaced water-cooler chats. My office was just down the hall from Karen’s.

How do we hunger and thirst for righteousness?

Righteousness is a composite of all that is good. From the Greek translation, righteousness is, first of all, a doctrine concerning the way in which a man may attain a state approved of God and it is also integrity, purity of life, the correctness of thinking, feeling and acting.

Hunger and thirst for righteousness is the pursuit to become like God, it is a search to attain righteousness or purity and righteousness is attained through faith(Hebrews 11:7, Galatians 5:5)

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.The next thing you’d want to ask is how we attain faith. Romans 10:17 says, I paraphrase, faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God.
