Marriage What Makes Our Lives, As Women, Uneventful!
Definitions belong only to the definer, not the defined.
She may be called a spinster in the Middle East, or a leftover in the Far East which elucidates how sketchy her self image is without a man. Ironically, if a man does not get married, it is because he is not willing to do so. On the other hand, if a woman does not get married, this means she is a relic, a surplus, etc!
every society accumulated layer upon layer of cultural ideas and norms that have little to do with biology. Societies associate a host of attributes with masculinity and femininity that, for the most part, lack a firm biological basis!
In a larger space, for example in North Korea, the sexes become segregated. At mealtime, the women huddle together over a low wooden table near the kitchen, eating cornmeal, which was cheaper and less nutritious than…

First lesson
I got on to the bus. Seeing the crowd inside, I was upset. There was no place to sit. Just then, a person vacated his seat. The man standing next to the vacant seat could have sat there, but instead he offered the seat to me.
At the next stop, the same thing happened again. He gave his seat to another. This happened 4 times during the entire journey. The man looked like a normal worker, returning home after a long day at work…
At the last stop when all of us got off, I spoke to him.
“Why were you giving your seat to another person every time you got a vacant seat?”
His answer took me by surprise.
“I haven’t studied much in my life nor do I know many things. I don’t have much money either. So I don’t have anything much to give to anyone. That’s why…

THE AGONY OF THE PREACHER’S KID, Part 3.
In our own homes – let us praise the Lord and give thanks to Him for His wonderful love.
“God meant it for good” (Genesis 50:20).
Have there been times when you didn’t really understand what was going on in your life, and, then, some time later, you’ve been able to look back and say, “God meant it for good”? Sometimes, we can feel that we’re in a dark place. Nothing really makes sense to us. Do we need to understandeverythingthat God is doing in our lives? When we find it difficult to see any meaning, purpose and direction in what’s happening to us, we should remember these words, “God meant it for good”, and we should remember that they were spoken by Joseph, years after a particularly distressing time in his life. When it seems like we are surrounded by darkness, these words may help us to keep on believing that God is with us. For a time, we may lose sight of God, but that…

What is “Marriage”
Watching the game between Green Bay and Detroit, I just saw a commerical where a husband was trying to persuade his wife why he should be able to play Gold on Sunday Evenings. She shook her head no and he walked away. What got me to thinking is, “What is a good marriage”?
I know that for the most part that it has fallen out of favor but I am wondering if the concept of marriage is really understood. And of course this is not meant to suggest that I have papers or other qualifications that would allow me to pontificate but I do have a right to an opine. Anyhoo…I am thinking that as I said earlier the concept of marriage is really misunderstood. While I was on tagged I saw the message that stated women were made to be companions not slaves or anything that takes away from…

HE WHO IS IN YOU IS GREATER THAN HE WHO IS IN THE WORLD – 1 JOHN 4:4
I feel closest to God when I’m writing and that’s how I figure out what I’m thinking and feeling. That being said, I’ve been writing non-stop lately just to feel His presence. Today it felt like these words were meant for someone who has dealt with some “pretty crippling anxiety” and their disappointments has unknowingly caused them to numb their heart towards God. If that’s you, you’re are in the right place…
Lean in friends: Our feelings are both fleeting and ephemeral, arent they? Anxiety wants to tell you that you can’t possibly get it done. You can’t make an impact. You can’t make a difference. Anxiety wants to sit you down and spin your wheels with all sorts of thoughts. “Am I good enough?”, “Do I have what it takes?”, “Can I really make this happen?” Trust me friends, I know how scary that can seem. That was my…

Why loving ourselves comes first.
A Reminder
Hey, man/woman/girl/boy, don’t let the things of this world blind us. Let’s look up to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, accepting him as your Lord and savior today before it is too late. I know many people say that I hate to hear this or I don’t like when they remind me of this or I already know Christ. The thing is that this is the truth and it is inevitable, believe it or not the end is near, and rapture will soon take place. So don’t be deceived by the world today, and don’t be swayed by popularity, fame, money etc. Give your life to Jesus before it is too late. Don’t wait till the time where there is no mercy, don’t let this word be used against you in the judgment day. He is ever ready today to receive each and every one of us…

Revival starts with me.
The undeniable relationship between our prayer and God’s manifestation.
I have often desired for God to work mightily in my church. This is in part because I have seen what revival looks like over 10 years ago, when I used to live in Springfield, Missouri. It was then that I took part of a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit that radically changed my life. I have heard the rumbling of God through the prayers of His people, I have touched the face of God, and I have embraced the cry of repentance. Every revival starts with a repentant heart but even repentance itself comes through prayer. I have found that prayer is the catalyst that starts a personal, as well as a corporate revival, and I’d like to take you to the year 1906 in order to show you how important prayer is for a move of God to…

Jesus is Healer

While reading in bed, I felt a heat on my back and then a lot of tingling. My back pain seemed gone. Immediately prayed and the Lord asked what is the purpose of my back? I said that it was to hold me up? He said, “I will uphold you with my right hand. You need only be still.” I got up out of bed and tested out my back, to see if I really was healed. No pain, completely no pain. Gone. Our God is so Awesome and Kind. He miraculously physically healed me. I wasn’t even praying. But I was listening to Maverick City and reading our daily study, a part about The Prodigal Son.. 🎶 I’ve got this Joy and it won’t let go, looked in His eyes and it freed my soul.. My soul knows it.. 🎵 Reading about God’s redemptive love..
And those lyrics truly…
