Artistic Culinary Excellence

Allegiance Dominion Fellowship's avatarChefpertise

In cooking, as in all the arts, simplicity is the sign of perfection. As inspired by Maurice Edmond Sailland (Curnosky), French writer and food critic [1872-1956].

The most important thing first is to know how to convert a grain of rice into a Pula ($). If you cannot do that then, there is a problem bigger than you. Yet, you must be more pleased since chefpertise has unveiled themselves to help you meet your business’ financial goals.

Competitiveness

Competition is good. Do not let anyone tell you otherwise. Foodservice operators will often review the menus of competitors to see what they are charging for similar items. This can be a way of helping to lock in a Menu Selling Price, however, it should not be the only method utilized. Although competitors often appear to have similar menu items, be careful to examine the quality of ingredients…

POETRY Awakening Souls

I want
to open my heart
in the sunlight
so that You can see
beyond the eclectic shadows
of time’s consequence
where the moon whispers
ever so softly
to our awakening souls
so that I in turn can feel
the sage of your warmth
intimately
blissfully
and take You
to the fruitful orchards
and then into the flowering meadows
where I can further inhale
the perfumes of your nectar
so sweetly
into every moment
with You
that I want
too also see you dance
naked with your soul
gazing incipiently
at your inner reflections
bathing in the untamed desires
of love’s bountiful quest
ebbing as one with the ocean waves
flowing with all that is life
all that is You
and your vibrancy
flowing as the river streams
uniting our innate oneness
monolithic as waterfalls
tasting the pelting rain
that caresses your form

Never will I leave you

entireservices's avatarTHE LIFE THAT I HAVE LIVED IN THE DIASPORA

Never will I leave you; Never will I forsake you. — Hebrews 13:5

Because He Himself suffered when He was tempted, He is able to help those who are being tempted. — Hebrews 2:18

God says: See Jesus, still incarnate as a human but no longer on earth, still the crucified One with nail-scarred hands and feet but no longer on the cross, still resurrected but no longer visible among you, and still ascended but no longer ascending through the devil-filled heavens. See Jesus where He is right now.

• Where He is when you awake in a cold sweat at two in the morning.

• Where He is when you’re alone in a hotel room and tempted to watch what should never cross the path of your eyes.

• Where He is when you’ve been devastated by loss or rejection.

• Where He is when your failure has…

Crossing the Street of Life

ladysilk13's avatarladysilk13

It was a beautiful sunny spring day and everyone was so cordial.  I guess with the blahs of winter finally moving out of it’s season, people were so ready for the Spring weather to come.  Everyone seemed so nice and inviting, saying hello to each other in the stores and at the bus stops.  While in a conversation with a young woman who had just told me she was late for a class she was teaching, something caught my view at the corner of my eye.  So I turned quickly because it was moving so fast.  I mean, here we are standing at a large intersection in the early afternoon of the day.  The traffic was very heavy as it was nearing close to noon time and the people hurrying during their lunch breaks.   As I turned quickly to look, there it was… a mouse scurrying across the large intersection…

Tips For Working From Home

jcgator1's avatarTales from a Nut Shell cracked open

Home Office My home office…it’s where the magic happens.

Working from home sounds great…until you have to do it on a consistent basis. The fact of the matter is that working from home has a different set of advantages and disadvantages that some people may find difficult to navigate while trying to be productive.

I worked from home for five years in a demanding field with strict deadlines and challenging goals. This work from home period prepared me for what most of us are facing now – COVID-19 quarantine. So I wanted to take this opportunity to share with you some of the lessons I have learned in my five years of working from home and how I was able to remain productive.

Specify a Work Space

You need to set aside a specific work environment in your home. Ideally, this could be a spare room where you can have…

Skin – Health from the inside out

Kimberleigh Russo's avatarKimberleigh J Russo, Cincinnati's Trusted Anti-Aging Esthetician

Today I am starting a new journey with my skin and health. Being a passionate Esthetician my focus is on skin and its health, slowing the aging process and getting and keeping that youthful healthy glow. For the most part, I am very diligent when it comes to this part of my wellness; however, I have been severally lacking when it comes to the inside of my body. I know that great skin does come from the inside out. Our skin reflects our overall bodily health. If we eat clean and good our skin will appear clean and good, when we fill our bodies with sugar, greasy fatty foods our skin will also show this in a lot of different ways and through varies skin conditions.

So this morning I set out on this new journey to get that healthy youthful glow on the inside of my body. I am…

A Intimate Friendship With The Risen Christ

tiva82's avatarTiva82's Blog

WHEN Jesus is near, all is well and nothing seems difficult. When He is absent, all is hard. When Jesus does not speak within, all other comfort is empty, but if He says only a word, it brings great consolation. Did not Mary Magdalen rise at once from her weeping when Martha said to her: “The Master is come, and calls for you”? [14] Happy is the hour when Jesus calls one from tears to joy of spirit. How dry and hard you are without Jesus! How foolish and vain if you desire anything but Him! Is it not a greater loss than losing the whole world? For what, without Jesus, can the world give you? Life without Him is a relentless hell, but living with Him is a sweet paradise. If Jesus be with you, no enemy can harm you

5 Crowns to Consider

Prayer Works Cafe's avatarPrayer Works Cafe

The Crown of Life, is given to those of us who have and will overcome great trials and tribulations. It is for those who preserve. It is reserved for those who remain faithful even to the point of death.

I’m my book Pouring Into The Lives of Women I made references to women being crowned, celebrated and uplifted. Just now it dropped into my spirit to research crowns in full and how we will be crowned spiritually, and thus I am inspired to write on the following.

Reflect

There are FIVE crowns to consider while conducting our everyday business on the Kingdom trail. They are the crown of life, the incorruptible crown, the crown of righteousness, the crown of glory and the crown of exhortation.

Pouring Into The Lives of Women

The Incorruptible Crown, is given to those who will reign with him. This crown is immaterial. It is a…

In All Seasons

Brightstar2911's avatarMy Message Ministries

We worry, fear, stress, and feel alone. If we are in the hands of God, creator of Heaven and Earth, why then wouldn’t we trust He knows our needs?

God loves us so very much, we are included His workmanship.

Next time you feel like you have no purpose, consider the One who gave you one. Consider the power, the wisdom, and love of God. He is always the same, never changing. Although we may change, our circumstances may change, and as the seasons change, God orchestrated it all from the beginning. We need to trust Him not our own understanding.

We may be small, but our God is bigger than our problems!

Can we change our fate

Official blog of the spiritual leader of the Kemtic faith's avatarKemeticfollower's Weblog

Can we change fate

Can we change our fate this is a question that we have all asked and not only us from the beginnings of time man has asked can he change the fate that has been laid down for him from that fateful day the he has been brought into this world.

When I last wrote I talked about the Kemetic faiths views on fate and know I would like to tell you about the faiths views on if we can change our fate.

Can fate be changed? Well we know that there are many who think that it can we hear of how the Prince of Byblos sent envoys to Egypt in order to beg Amun for 50 years over the allotted time of his life by fate in the hope that the offerings of timber to the God would persuade him to change the princes fate.

Cellphones

littlethunder's avatarWelcome to Writting of Littlethunder

I heard it once said that the worse invention was that of the cellphone. And I tend to believe it. Furthermore, I am in agreement that use of a cellphone while driving should be banned. Allow me to explain:

I have 2 cellphones and a tablet. The 2nd cellphone is in the house in case I lose the first one and thats all. And the tablet has only once left the house. So I use my cellphone wisely.

Others I am not sure of. In fact I think some people will not learn the dangers of driving and texting until someone dies in an accident and by that time it will be to late.

I know of a couple people who make phone calls and text while driving. Sometimes they make use of all three cellphones at once. Thus putting passengers and other drivers at risk.  But what can be…

A Mother’s Prayer…

jam4YESHUA's avatarnnyPHISHnet's Blog

“For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him.”
(1 Samuel 1:27)

I personally can attest to the fact that a mother’s love and prayers go way back, sometimes even before our beginning. So today, I’d like to share with you one such prayer, spoken twice, that I didn’t even know I had in me. (“Hmm, I wonder if Hannah had felt the same way.”)

There was a time not all that long ago, when I could not call myself “a mother”.  Some of this was self-inflicted, and sometimes not. (I’d spent a couple of decades crusading that I would never get married or have children. I have learned now to never say never.)

The History and the Pain

I had lived through and learned enough in my life to know better, and that I didn’t ever want to revisit…

Dealing With The Total Eclipse of Our Hearts (On the Day of The Eclipse 2017)

Liz Gray's avataru2areloved

 It’s here.  Eclipse Day 2017!

If I didn’t know better and only watched the news today, I’d think all of humanity had finally reconciled in a bi-partisan effort to enjoy the temporary blocking out of the sun.

Darkness has a funny way of uniting us humans.

Today, on this rare beautiful day, we will be as one,  in our excitement to watch this solar event.

There’s something special happening here; we can’t quite name it or put a finger on it, but you know it for sure.  You can feel it

For a solid minute, possibly as long as two minutes and 41 seconds in some places, we are going to forget that we are white or black or any other color people with so many grievances with those others.   We’re not going to be focused on our pasts.  We’re not going to be…

My New Found Self Love Is Not Vanity …

Lady Fab's avatarI Am Lady Fab

Just yesterday I was told that I was vain. Wait, What? VAIN … I’m the least vain person on this planet! All of a sudden I was stricken with sadness because at that very moment they didn’t know my hidden struggle. My struggle of loving me just the way I was. My struggle of self acceptance. My struggle of being insecure. My struggle of feeling beautiful and pretty.

For the past year I have truly been working hard to overcome these insecurities and even though I am slowly evolving to really believe that my black is beautiful, 70% of the time I am not happy with myself. I wished I looked different. I often wonder what people thoughts are after I enter into a room. But through it all daily I remind myself that God has not giving me a spirit of fear. He has made me beautiful in His…

Reasons the Christian Church is not IN the New Covenant

Mystery Consultant's avatarHome of the Rightly Divided Word

(from “Defending Dispensationalism”) by Mark Graeser, John Schoenheit and John Lynn

  1. A “covenant” is a solemn promise binding two parties in an agreement. In certain biblical covenants like the “New” Covenant, God binds Himself unconditionally by His love and grace to perform specific promises to specific people (Israel). These promises cannot be disannulled, and neither can they be “fulfilled” only in part; they must at some point be fulfilled completely or God’s righteousness would be compromised, and He found to be a liar. If the Church cannot “fulfill” the New Covenant, then it must be in a different relationship with God, (we are “in Christ/ in the Lord” and Israel cannot claim this relationship).

     2. The covenant was made with Israel, the physical descendants of Abraham according to the flesh, and with them as a specific nation. Since the Church is neither           Jews nor Gentiles (a “nation”)…
