Yesterday I bought two new Bibles: The Books of the Bible Bible, and Glo. These two Bibles are completely opposite tools.

The Books of the Bible Bible takes the Bible back to the first century. It presents Scripture without chapters, verses, columns, study notes, etc. It is intended to give us a different set of insights into Scripture because of those edits.

The Glo Bible is strictly digital immersion in The Word. It provides five “lenses” through which to read and study The Word. Those “lenses” are called Bible, Timeline, Atlas, Topical andMedia. It took 1-2 hours to install “Glo” completely. Then, I went to the tutorial, which I think you will also enjoy. This looks like a really great tool for studying the Bible, and even for teaching it. I know God wants to do something incredible in our lives. Why do I say that? Well, I know that God has a tender place for women in His heart. God has since Eve. Scripture tells us that he helped Eve have a baby (Gen. 4:1). He met Hagar when she was mistreated by Sarah (Gen. 16:1-14). He went out of His way to talk to a Samaritan woman at the well (John 4). He healed the woman with the issue of blood (Luke 8).

God loves his girls. I believe he is excited about what He is going to do in our hearts during those few days.

Some background before I begin… This writing is something I chose to author in my English writing course this semester. I am a junior at Morehead State University, this is a persuasive essay for which I received an A from my professor. I wrote this because I stand behind it, I stand up for what I believe in – or in this case WHO I believe in. Fifteen years ago in March, on the 27th, I set foot on the soil of Arunachal Pradesh for the first time, steadfastly set on accomplishing my calling and providing the needs of my family.

In essence, it was a call to duty, and basically, the fulfillment of the calling of God. It was no small choice but an intricate one involving the relocation of my entire family about 500 km away from home with the grim reality of leaving everything behind, even the prospect of a job, to raise my kids amongst people hitherto unknown and eke out a living. It was a huge challenge, a daunting one at that!

Communication is arguably man’s greatest leverage over the other creatures of God: It is with the aid of superior communication that man has been able to achieve most of his great feats on the earth.

It will not be farfetched to state that man’s proximity to divinity is based largely on his ability to commune consciously with a divine force that exceeds his human understanding.

It is on the platform of this communication that some of the world’s greatest inventions are wrought because it takes communion with divinity to draw inspiration from superhuman muses to the realm of the ordinary.

Over time, this form of communication has evolved into a popular phenomenon in most religions(prayer) and like most trends before and after it, it has also suffered the brutal abuse of man’s ignorance and misinformation.

The season of election is upon us and the fight is on for the next presidential candidate. Those on the left have the answer and those on the right, but what is the question? The question comes down to who will lead this nation in the direction where the maximum amount of citizens will rejoice, rather than mourn. God gives us the answer. “When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan” (Proverbs 29:2). It is clear that the left has some pretty devilish things on the table. The promotion of baby death and same-sex marriage which are despised by God. Every Christmas Eve our church has a gathering in which different people volunteer songs, skits, readings and other things to share with the church family. At the end of the evening we gather in a large circle around the auditorium and sing ‘Silent Night. A great time of fellowship and rejoicing in the birth of Jesus. Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for this life, for the gift of love, and the blessing of our marriage. We give you praise for the joy you’ve poured into our hearts through this love, for the contentment of family, and the happiness of our home. May we always treasure the experience of loving each other in this holy union. Help us to remain forever committed to our vows, those we made to each other, and to you, Lord.
