I have many times in vain tried to teach my children the difference between needs and wants.  Most often these lessons have come in the form of physical items such as toys, presents, clothes or sometimes even dessert.

It has always been a relatively easy differentiation for me to see from the object related needs vs wants and how I or my children really do not need anything but that we want it.

As I have explored lately some of my deepest emotional needs that I have carried throughout my life, many brought on from childhood events and experiences and at time the intense feelings of rejection and loneliness and the emotional need this has created within me.

Think about it, “Do you want God to look at you and see something He hates.” No! Well, He hates a proud look. A proud look is the facial expression that proceeds from a proud heart.

Think about it, “Do you want God to look at your life and see something that will cause Him to resist you?” No! Well, the Word of God says, God resist the proud!

I am overjoyed by the birth of my third grandchild and first grandson who was born last week. Although I wasn’t in the delivery room with my son and his wife when he was born, I was at the hospital and had the delight and privilege of seeing him shortly after his birth. Once again I was in awe of the absolute miracle of birth! I also was amazed by the number of changes that have taken place since I had my babies in the 80’s and early 90’s, which got me thinking about how the delivery of babies has changed so much in just the last century.

Often when the topic of bullying is discussed, it is about a student bullying another student or students on the school campus. However, that is not the only place that bullying occurs. It also occurs in the workplace, in the public square, oftentimes in secret, and sadly, it also occurs within the walls of churches. Regardless of where it occurs, the point is that it is wrong.

I was busy as long as I could remember

Every week had an event, and then daily things to account for

However, now, all hell hath frozen over and the abyss of endless time lies before me,

the to-do list has turned into a to-don’t list to protect society,

lingering between these four walls produces mounts of anxiety,

I’ve noticed that most us christians have the mentality that we have to change with the world,its a mentality that even me had 2 pray 2 God to change!!
Let’s not 4get that God is still the same yesterday,today and tomorrow…likewise His word…the word no matter the time,weather,season,trend, REMAINS THE SAME!!!
I’m not saying don’t follow trends….just don’t do anything that won’t glorify your Heavenly Father in heaven….we need to be good representatives of Jesus here on earth-so please stay true to him in all you do
