As Believers, We Should Librate Our Minds From All Negative Or The Looser’s Mindset That Keeps Us In Bondage To The Lies Of The Devil. As A Victorious Christian You Must Never Give Up. I Encourage You To Go Out And Do Your Business Today With The Mindset Of Success. Amen. I Encourage Someone To Go Out With The Mindset Today That With God Nothing Shall Be Impossible. Brethren, I Tell You, Whatever You Picture In Your Mind Is Yours. As The Mercies Of God Are New Every Morning So Are We To Renew Our Minds Daily. We Must Consciously Purge It Of Anything Negative. What We Feed Our Minds With Or Allow In Also Matters So We Must Feed It With The Word Of God Through Scripture Reading And Meditation.

PRAYERS

Our eternal rock of ages we bless your holy name. We praise and adore you and acknowledge you for who you are. We are grateful for the life that You have given us today. Thank you for your mercies that are new every morning over us and our loved ones. Thank you for your protection and provision all these time. Glory be to your holy name in Jesus name. Father, Please speak to your children this morning and let your name be glorified in Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen.

Numbers 14:6-9 KJV

[6] And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes:

[7] And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land.

[8] If the Lord delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey.

[9] Only rebel not ye against the Lord, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not.

INTRODUCTION

The Topic before us that I want to use to encourage us all today is “THE VICTORIOUS MINDSET”

Your mindset is what informed you about Man and God. As a child of God You are expected to come to God just as you are daily and let the Holy Spirit transform you.  What is your thinking like? Every rich man on earth has a mind set so also the poor man. A healthy mindset is not one of the gifts of the spirit.  You are not a kingdom citizen even if your name is kingdom. You can never rise above your mindset even if you fast for 21 days. The Israelites had a mindset which they developed over the 430years in slavery. God took Moses behind the desert and kept him there for 40years in order to change his mindset because He wanted to prepare him for the deliverance of His people.

Unfortunately, the white man gave us independence and left us with the mindset of slavery;  that is one of the reasons why our nation is suffering and having insecurity and other issues right  now. Our mindset must be changed if we want to see a new and better Nation. May the Lord help us in Jesus name. Amen.

MESSAGE

The word of God says in our 1st text Philippians 2:5 “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: i.e to let your mind or thinking be Christlike.

So having a Victorious mindset for me is to have a positive or a winning attitude in one’s way of thinking.  Having the mind of Christ is having a winner’s mindset as Jesus’ mission was to come and destroy the works of satan and give mankind eternal life.

A victorious mindset therefore is a Positive one. It is a winner’s mindset as we see in the lives of Joshua and Caleb in our 2nd text. They refused to accept defeat without a fight. They were positive that if they should go and attack the land they had gone to spy they would definitely win. As believers, We should librate our minds from all negative or the looser’s mindset that keeps us in bondage to the lies of the devil. The Bible calls him a liar and the father of it in John 8:44

Knowing this ,we are not to allow a negative mindset through the lies of the devil to rob us of whatever GOD has planned for us.

As a victorious Christian You must Never give up. I encourage you to go out and do your business today with the mindset of success. Go to the market place/ office and display your wares and your skills with the mindset that you will make bumper sales and that you will be successful . As a student be positive that you will have understanding above your teachers according to Psalm 119:100 even if you have challenges understanding a particular course/ subject, the Holy Spirit is your teacher; He will help you if you call upon Him. Go and attend that interview with the mindset that you will be employed for that job.

Go to your office and encourage someone in your team that they are doing well on that project. Even over that health challenge, have a positive mindset that healing is the children’s bread and so you are healed . I encourage someone to go out with the mindset today that with God nothing shall be impossible according to Luke 1:37.

Brethren, I tell you, whatever you picture in your mind is yours like the saying goes “what you see is what you get.”

For our country Nigeria,  I will also encourage us not to give up. Let us  not be afraid or discouraged because of the insecurity and daily evil occurrences but continue to pray to God with a victorious mindset as we seek His face in HUMILITY, REPENTANCE AND OBEDIENCE. May the Lord set our minds and hearts in ‘HRO’ mode as that is what He requires of us now. This has been my prayers in recent times.

LET US LOOK AT SOME CHARACTERISTICS OF PEOPLE WITH VICTORIOUS OR POSITIVE MINDSET: 

1). A man with a victorious mindset can take up any challenge: Like Joshua & Caleb he can take any mountain. In Numbers  14:6-9 out of the 10 spies only the two of them had a victorious mindset as they were ready to lead the people to go and possess the promise land.

2). Always trusting and believing in God’s promises: David trusted God to do as He promised him and his family. In 2 Samuel 7:25 he said  “And now, O LORD God, the word that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, establish it for ever, and do as thou hast said.”

3). Always joyful : someone with a positive or victorious mindset is always joyful. David said in Psalm 35:9 “And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord : it shall rejoice in his salvation.” Nehemiah also said in Nehemiah 8:10 “ for the joy of the Lord is your strength “

4). One with a positive mindset won’t entertain any fears because he trusts in God. In Psalm 56:11 David said “In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.”

A victorious mindset person is very bold. Proverbs 28:1b says the righteous is as bold as a lion . David with boldness confronted Goliath the giant and conquered him.

5). One with a positive mindset is a Goal getter and an achiever . David saw himself as a giant killer . In 1 Samuel 17:36-37 he told of how the Lord helped him to kill a lion and a bear and how he would also waste the life of the uncircumcised Philistine, Goliath who defied the armies of the living God.

6). Zero tolerance for cowardice: One with a positive or victorious mindset is not a coward. In Numbers 13:30-31 Joshua and Caleb urged Moses to allow them to go and take over the land of which they went to spy. They couldn’t tolerate the cowardice of the other 10 men who brought negative reports.

May we walk on the pedestal of a victorious mindset all the days of our Christian life in Jesus name.

AS BAD IS THE OPPOSITE OF GOOD LET US ALSO LOOK AT CHARACTERISTICS OF PEOPLE WITH A LOOSER OR NEGATIVE MINDSET:

1). Seeing every one as one’s enemy and always being suspicious of others . For instance, king Saul had a negative mindset about David and so he sought for him all his lifetime to kill him.

2). Blaming others for one’s mistake. Genesis 3:12 . Adam blamed Eve that she gave him the forbidden fruit while Eve also blamed the serpent.

3). Fear rules and takes over such a life. Job’s fears came true. In Job 3:25 he said “ For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.”

4). Life of mediocrity: Mephiboseth, the grandson of king Saul was living an ordinary life in Lode-bar. He had the mindset of a mediocre until King David came to his rescue. 2 Samuel 9:1-13.

5). Slow to succeed in life: A person with a negative or looser mindset will be slow to make progress in life that is if he makes any at all , because he will always think that there is no one to help him. E.g the man at the pool of Bethesda in John 5:7-9 told Jesus that he had no man to help him.

May we never have such mindset as the above  in Jesus name. Amen.

CONCLUSION:

Romans 12:2 says we should not be conformed to this world: but be transformed in the renewing of our mind. As the mercies of God are new every morning so are we to renew our minds daily. We must consciously purge it of anything negative. What we feed our minds with or allow in also matters so we must feed it with the word of God through scripture reading and meditation. Also Colossians 3:16 says teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs , singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. What songs do we listen to? Are they songs or music that will minister to our soul and glorify the lord or worldly songs that are filthy and will do no good to our souls. Remember

Philippians 4:8 says “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

The choice is yours to make today from Positive (Victorious) or Negative (looser)  mindset.

And if you are reading this Message and have not yet given your life to Jesus, or you are a backslider , what are you waiting for? A life without Christ cannot have a victorious mindset, therefore the time to surrender to Jesus is now so that you can have His mind and not be conformed to this world. He is waiting for you.

Let us pray

*Thank GOD for the privilege of being alive today and that He is your father

*Father I thank you because by your grace I am operating with a victorious mind set in Jesus name

*Father, according to your word, I receive the grace to be transformed in the renewing of my mind daily in Jesus name.

*Father irrespective of the circumstances around me don’t ever allow me to carry a  negative mindset in Jesus name.

*Father according to your word in  Proverbs 14:34 let your righteousness exalt our nation in Jesus name.

*Father in your infinite mercy please put the mindset of Nigerians into Humility, Repentance and Obedience mode in Jesus name .

*Father according to your word in Psalm 7:9, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end in our nation in Jesus name.
