Lyrics available in English.
Our Lord You are the; Uncreated Creator, Unchangeable Changer, Unbeatable Beater, Unbreakable Breaker, Indivisible Divider, Unadvisable Adviser, Unpromotable Promoter, Unchallengeable Challenger, Unconquerable Conqueror, Unassailable Fortress, Unquestionable Judge and Unstoppable Way-Maker. Indeed, O Lord, no one can be compared with You.
Father we thank You for the gift of life and privilege to partake of this glorious day. We thank You for not allowing the enemies of Nigeria to throw us into war and make us refugees in neighbouring countries.
Father, Nigeria is our own Jerusalem, Please in Your mercy (Psalm 122:7) let us experience peace and prosperity in Jesus’ name.
Brethren in the secular, rating agencies most times stipulate that an entity cannot have a better rating than the sovereign/country. To eat the good of land, the land too must be good. So, this morning, let us pray for Nigeria. As we pray for the peace of Nigeria and love our country, we prosper (Psalm 122:6).
A lot is happening in Nigeria that gives us a lot of concern. Don’t know if you saw the video of lady who was kidnapped and witnessed the killing and selling of body parts to agents of satan. Worrisome is the threat to our collective freedom by these kidnappers encroaching on areas close to our dwelling abodes. The questions to ask: are we helpless and what can we do.
We can in the order of 2 Chronicles 7:14, humble ourselves, pray like we will this morning, seek God’s face and live righteously and then see God have mercy, forgive us and heal Nigeria.
But you then wonder what can the 72 people on this platform accomplish, a lot I say. Brethren for the sake of just 10 righteous people, God was willing to pardon Sodom (Genesis 18:32).
In our text today, we see that;
• God will have mercy upon the house of Judah (Nigeria). We appropriate this mercy for Nigeria and that God will forgive us of all our atrocities including but not limited to; shedding of innocent blood, lack of reverence for God, corruption and wickedness.
• God will deliver us out of the mighty Assyrians and their types that are disturbing our peace and hindering the progress of Nigeria.
• God will not deliver us using our typical weapons, ideas and noise making. He has used his own ways in the past such as the; sling stone against Goliath, praise to bring down Jericho and an ambushment against the 3 kingdoms contending with Israel in 2 Chronicles 20:22. In Nigeria, on 8/6/98 he moved in a way beyond our comprehension.
Brethren as earlier iterated, if we must eat the good of Nigeria as promised in Isaiah 1:19, let us note that the Land of Nigeria must be good. So, let us pray for Nigeria our own Jerusalem this morning and at all times in our prayer altars.
1. Father we acknowledge You as the One who alone is the ruler over the nations (Psalms 22:28). You are the Sovereign God, our Olowogbogboro.
2. We thank You Lord for the Body of Christ in Nigeria, thank You for what You are using Your children to do in Nigeria.
3. Father we thank You for the abundant natural resources and awesome Human Capital You have blessed Nigeria with.
4. Father as a nation we have engaged in; shedding of innocent blood, kidnapping, thuggery, corruption, abominable conducts. Please have mercy on us as citizens and leaders in this country, give us all new hearts and a new spirit (Ezekiel 36:25) in Jesus name. Amen.
5. Father please have mercy on us as a nation and help us remedy our faulty foundations (Psalm 11:3) so that we Your children can prosper and dwell in peace in Jesus’ name. Amen.
6. Father Your Word in Isaiah 9:2 declares that those that live in a land of deep darkness, shall see a great light shine. Please let Your light shine mightily in Nigeria and dispel deep physical and spiritual darkness in Jesus’ name. Amen.
7. Corruption has eroded our morals, the standards in our education, healthcare and road infrastructure amongst others. Our God that nothing is too hard for, please we seek Your divine intervention in healing Nigeria of the malaise of corruption in Jesus’ name. Amen.
8. Lord Jesus, You are the Prince of Peace, please release peace to the turbulent and violent laden places in Nigeria in Jesus name. Amen.
9. Father please expose and deal with the perpetrators and sponsors of insurgency, terrorism, kidnapping, rituals, fraud etc. in Nigeria in Jesus name. Amen.
10. Father in Judges 8:28, You subdued the perennial harvest destroyers and enemies of Israel such that they no longer were able to lift their head anymore. In like manner Lord, please subdue these perennial destroyers of the peace and commonwealth of Nigeria so that we don’t hear about them anymore in Jesus’ name. Amen.
11. We declare that;
A. It is well with Nigeria in Jesus name. Amen.
B. Nigeria is entering into a time and season of positive transformation in Jesus’ name. Amen.
C. Great shall be the peace of Nigeria in Jesus name. Amen.
D. Our leaders are blessed with new hearts and uncommon wisdom in Jesus’ name. Amen.
E. War and genocide will not be reported concerning Nigeria in Jesus name. Amen.
12. Your personal prayers for Nigeria.
Thank You JESUS
