Imitating Christ.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God

Romans 12:2

The word conformed means “to be fashioned after.” Believers shouldn’t be like non-believers. We shouldn’t talk like they talk, react like they react, or go where they go. Our lifestyle should be separate and different from that of the world. We should be trying to get non-believers to imitate the lifestyle of Christ.

God does not want you to be conformed to this world because the world’s lifestyle has been designed by Satan to destroy you. Satan might say, “Hey, why don’t you have a little fun with me?” but that’s just the deception he uses to lead you to eternal death.
