Matthew_5-9: Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God

“Bless those who persecute you (who are cruel in their attitude toward you); bless and do not curse them.”  Romans 12:14 (AMP)

Sometimes, the world operates with a “tit for tat” mentality.  You get me and I’ll get you back.  You hurt me and I’ll hurt you back.  How many times has someone wronged you and you thought you just couldn’t let them get away with that?  Wrong is wrong and surely God knows that, but God doesn’t want you to take matters into your own hands. The depiction of how we are supposed to operate in these difficult situations is to follow Jesus’ example.  The Word of God says to celebrate and speak well of those who are hostile against you and have a cruel attitude toward you.
