Ephesians_6-4: And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord
Each year in our high school the fathers of the graduating class come together for a Father and Son BBQ (which is really code for “life-sized Jenga, cornhole and really good food.”) However, there is also the random possibility that fathers will be encouraged to share their feelings (a rarity), which could lead to some tears. And this year, there was no shortage of tears as each father prayed blessings over his son. The thought occurred to me, “What about the boys without fathers?” It was almost an afterthought, as if someone else should worry about them, but today is about my son and I. That’s when God nudged…
Being “naked” but “not ashamed.” This is why we get married—not just to have sex, but also to become emotionally intimate with another person. We want someone we can be openly transparent with, someone who accepts us, even when we’re being our real selves.
Yet although this is what our souls long for, many couples—especially young couples—hide this need behind the mere act of sexual togetherness. They find having sex easier than opening up to each other spiritually, where the potential for hypocrisy and awkwardness always exists. Sex can be easier than opening up emotionally, letting someone else in on their fears and worries and dreams and…
Genesis_1-26: And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth
God intends for us to reign here on earth. That is His original desire and purpose for us as heirs of salvation. God cannot lie. By law of first mention, in Genesis chapter 2, the bible tells us that God made man in His own image and likeness. In other words, we…

The Encyclopedia Britannica gives a half page to the accomplishments of Charles Francis Adams, the son of President John Adams. Adams followed the political trail of his father and became a U.S. diplomat to Great Britain. The encyclopedia makes no mention of Charles’ family, but Charles’ diary does.
An entry one day read: “Went fishing with my son today—a day wasted.”
Another diary, that of his son Brook, gives us a different perspective: “Went fishing with my father—the most wonderful day of my life.”
Interesting, isn’t it, how a little boy’s perspective could be so different from his dad’s?
John_16-33: These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world”. John 16:33
Psalms_118-24: This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it
Once upon a time, the Bible records that David took his army to fight on the side of the Philistines and before they came back the Amalekites had raided their entire camp, took away their wives, children and everything they had and it seemed all hope was lost. When David was in this situation the scripture says even his own turned against him, and he cried and…
This verse is clear and to the point, and could be used as a filter before we open our mouths.
If you often find yourself “in a multitude of words,” do a quick check to be sure you are pleasing the Father in what you are saying. If your words are untruthful, mean spirited, or damaging to someone else, then the second part of this verse should be implemented – restraint. If you have to question whether or not you should say it, then you probably shouldn’t. If you have to ask forgiveness after you say it, then you should probably keep it to yourself.
Proverbs_22-6: Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it
My father taught me so many things, like how to ride my first bike. He gave me my first driving lesson and taught me how to play tennis, and study. He also taught me lessons that are harder to measure and put into words:

You Are What You Do, Not What You Say You’ll Do. Don’t be a big talker; let your actions speak for you. Don’t make empty promises and follow through on your words.
Ephesians_5-20: Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
“Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord”;Ephesians 5:19
The reason why God wants us to speak to ourselves in Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs is because when you begin to do so, it creates in you a positive mentality and motivates you to begin to give thanks because you already know the outcome. Rather than complain and murmur, you start thanking God because some how you will begin to see the picture of victory. David said the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want; it’s a new day, I will not want because this is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. reason it…
Matthew_28-19-3: Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost
. . . teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.(Matthew 28:20)
Matthew_9-37: Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few
Being a disciple of Jesus Christ is a lot different than just going to church once or twice a week. To get excited because the preacher moved you and the choir inspired you is nice, but that’s not spiritual growth. To enjoy fellowship with your friends is a wonderful part of the Christian life, but it in and of itself is not discipleship.

“Therefore show to them, and before the churches, the proof of your love and of our boasting on your behalf.”
NKJV
The world says ‘get, get, get‘ and you will find great contentment. It’s also been said that we live in a ‘dog eat dog world‘ where we need to look out for number one. I know people that have a lot but if they don’t share with others, they can be selfish and be really miserable. The reality is that selfishness leads to misery. The Bible and God want to teach us how not to be selfish. As you are blessed, part of experiencing all the blessings of the Lord is sharing them with others. When you receive something, you want to call someone or…
Satan never mentions the consequences of sin. He never mentions the psychological trauma that follows an abortion. He never mentions the dirty feeling of being used after sleeping with your date that haunts your marriage relationship years later. He never mentions the panic and fear that grip you every time you answer the phone after cheating on your tax return. There are serious consequences to sin. Always. Without exception. Adam ate the forbidden fruit his wife had offered, “Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked” (Gen. 3:7, NIV).
Conquerors And Overcomers.1 John 5:4-5 For Everyone Born Of God Overcomes The World. This Is The Victory That Has Overcome The World, Even Our Faith. Who Is It That Overcomes The World? Only The One Who Believes That Jesus Is The Son Of God.With Jesus As Your Lord, You Will Be A Conqueror And An Overcomer.
MEMORISE:
To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. Revelation 3:21
READ: Romans 8:35-39
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, for thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
MESSAGE:
It is sweet to be a conqueror but sweeter still to be more than a conqueror! Christians, being the brides of Jesus Christ, can be likened to the wife of a boxing champion. A boxing champion is a conqueror, but the wife is more than a conqueror because when the champion is awarded the winning belt, he hands it over to the wife who didn’t even fight.
In the same vein, our Lord Jesus Christ conquered for us- His bride and gave us the victory. This fact informed Apostle Paul’s statement who wrote in Romans 8:37 that “….in all these things we are more than conquerors …”
Jesus Christ said to His disciples in John 14:12:
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”
Our Lord Jesus Christ has obtained more than enough grace and mercy for us with His perfect obedience to the Father.
This is the direct opposite of the disobedience of the first Adam according to Apostle Paul in Romans 5:12 & 14. To God be the glory, the second Adam brought us victory over sin and death through His atonement (1 Corinthians 5:45). The question now is: What should we do with the revelation in this Scripture? Simple: we must accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour for victory over Satan, sin and all its attendant woes. John the Beloved wrote in 1 John 5:4-5:
“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?”
This is the assurance we have from Almighty God, that it takes being born again- being born of God, to overcome the world. You will not just overcome the world; you will be more than a conqueror if you surrender your life to God and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour.
With Him as your Lord, you will be a conqueror and an overcomer.
ACTION POINT:
Decide to live holy so that you can be more than a conqueror in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
Job 11-12.

The Lord Jesus Christ invites us into His rest in today’s Bible text. However, before we can obtain His rest, we must have the same mind as His. To have the same mind as Jesus, we must learn of Him. Many would-be Christians fail to realise that what makes Christ unique is not His complexion or stature, but the life that…

Praise directed towards God is a lethal weapon of spiritual warfare. This is so because God inhabits the praises of His people. Children of God must not joke with their praise life. It would be logical to say that if prayer is the “master key”, then praise is the “principal key”. You need to catch the revelation…
