In our text today, Jesus began by saying: “Verily, verily [. . .]”(John 14:12, KJV). In other words, Jesus is saying, “I am telling you the truth that I know.” Jesus Christ goes on to say, “[. . .] the works that I do shall he do also [. . .]”(John 14:12, KJV). Is Jesus a liar?
