DISCIPLESHIP

TEXT:Matthew 4: 19-22.
INTRODUCTION:

Discipleship begins when you get born again. As a follower of Jesus Christ you take Him as your Teacher and Model and strive to be like Him. Matt 11: 29; Rom 8: 29.
THE CHARACTER TRAITS OF A DISCIPLE
(i)Hearing the Master and following Him. Jn 10: 27.
(ii)Willing to forsake anything in order to follow the Master. Matt 4: 19-22.
(iii) Always available. Acts 9: 10.
(iv)Obedient. Acts 9: 10.
(v) Holy conversation and living. 1Pet 1: 15-16.
(vi) Humility. 1Pet 5: 6.

CAPABILITY OF A DISCIPLE
(i)He is able to personally hear from God. Acts 9: 10.
(ii)Win souls for Christ.
(iii) Preach with results. Acts 2: 40-41.
(iv) Perform miracles. Acts 8: 5-8.
