THE CHOSEN

TEXT: John 15: 16.

INTRODUCTION: Every child of God has been chosen by God for a purpose. But unfortunately, today, many are not fulfilling the purpose for which God saved and chose them.

WHY GOD DID CHOOSE US?

God chose us for the following reasons:

(i)He chose us because He loved us. Matt 22: 14. God loved us even before we knew Him. Jn 3: 16; 1 Jn 4: 10-19 from our mothers’ womb He has chosen us and ordained us to be an instrument of honour to Him. Jer 1: 5; Isa 49: 1-3; 1 Pet 2: 9; 2 Tim 2: 20-22.

(ii)He chose us that we might bear fruits. He expects us to bear fruit of repentance. Matt 3: 8-9, holiness. Rom 7: 4;Romans 6: 22, fruit of the Holy Spirit.
