Exodus 20: 1-6.

INTRODUCTION:

Idolatry is forbidden by God. Isa.42: 8; 1Jn.5: 21. An idol in your heart is something other than God which takes the first place in your priorities. Even legitimate things such as work, business ventures or academic pursuit could take the centre stage of our lives if we are not watchful and prayerful.

THE CONSEQUENCES OF IDOLATRY
1. Idolatry moves God to jealousy. Exod.20: 1-6; 1Kgs.11: 1-11.
2. It makes God to withdraw so that you could be given a chance to see the futility of serving other gods you have chosen.
