LORD Is My Shepherd This Christmas, I Shall Not Lack
Psalms_23-1: The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Psalm 23:1 (KJV)
Stop and think: what is the relationship between the sheep and the Shepherd? If you understand it clearly, you’ll stop all forms of struggle.
The sheep is totally dependent on the Shepherd. It follows the Shepherd without questioning because it believes and is fully convinced that the Shepherd has his best interest at heart. That’s the same thing God expects from us. He wants us to follow Him without a plan B. He wants us to know that He is fully aware of our needs and is ready to give us all that we need. That is why David, the shepherd boy, likened God to the shepherd and boldly declared, “I shall not want.”
