Novak Djokovic bested by Argentina’s Juan Martin del Potro – the same player who had defeated him in the bronze medal match at the 2012 London Olympics.

Del Potro, who was ranked 145th, played a powerful game, beating Djokovic 7-6 (4), 7-6 (2). He will continue in the tournament, while Djokovic’s Olympic journey has just come to an end.
