Claim The Word Of God For Yourself. You Must Keep Calling Yourself What God Has Called You. That Is How To Claim The Word Of God For You. Beloved, Your Mouth Is Given To You To Declare God’s Word, Not For Gossip. When We Declare The Word, We Put The Devil On The Run, Knowing That We Have Come To Possess Our Possession.
“And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be. And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.” Genesis 17:15-16 KJV
I want to remind you today of the story of Abraham. After several years of waiting for the promise of God, nothing happened. One day, Abraham decided to change their names as God instructed. He called his wife ‘Sarah’, mother of many nations and called himself ‘Abraham,’ father of many nations. This was an old childless couple. I can imagine their neighbors laughing at them as they called them by their new names. Let them laugh all they want. Soon, the miracle will manifest. When they finally had their child, he was named ‘Isaac’ meaning ‘laughter.’ Those who laughed at you will ultimately laugh with you.
You must keep calling yourself what God has called you. That is how to claim the Word of God for you. You may not look like it, but keep declaring it. The Holy Spirit is working in you. Beloved, your mouth is given to you to declare God’s Word, not for gossip. Can you imagine the type of world we will see if we all learn to speak the right things to one another? Job 6:25 says: “How forcible are right words…” (KJV). Right words carry force that creates. You will be shocked how many families are divided because of wrong words that should not have been spoken.
When we declare the Word, we put the devil on the run, knowing that we have come to possess our possession. Speak the word! That is all you need. When you see the promises of God on your behalf, apply it to yourself. Put your name there and put it on your fridge. Paste it everywhere so that anywhere you turn to, you will see the word. Claim the words for yourself and see it manifest in your life.

Sin Births Disgrace. Sin Turns A Saint To A Sinner; God’s Favour Turns To Divine Displeasure, Blessing Turns To Curse, Glory Turns To Shame, Congregation Of The Living Turns To The Congregation Of The Dead, While Plenty And Satisfaction Turn To Scarcity And Starvation.
TEXT: Ezekiel 4:9-17
9 Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and millet, and fitches, and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread thereof, according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, three hundred and ninety days shalt thou eat thereof.
10 And thy meat which thou shalt eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day: from time to time shalt thou eat it.
11 Thou shalt drink also water by measure, the sixth part of an hin: from time to time shalt thou drink.
12 And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight.
13 And the LORD said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, whither I will drive them.
14 Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! behold, my soul hath not been polluted: for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself, or is torn in pieces; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth.
15 Then he said unto me, Lo, I have given thee cow’s dung for man’s dung, and thou shalt prepare thy bread therewith.
16 Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight, and with care; and they shall drink water by measure, and with astonishment:
17 That they may want bread and water, and be astonied one with another, and consume away for their iniquity.
KEY VERSE: “And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight.” – (Ezekiel 4:12)
MESSAGE:
A preacher has described sin as a deliberate violation of God’s commandments or disobedience that attracts His displeasure and judgment. Sin turns a saint to a sinner; God’s favour turns to divine displeasure, blessing turns to curse, glory turns to shame, congregation of the living turns to the congregation of the dead, while plenty and satisfaction turn to scarcity and starvation.
The text under consideration talks about how Prophet Ezekiel was divinely instructed to eat disgusting diet for a period of 390 days. He was instructed to cook the food with dung. This is despicable and loathsome. By this method, the prophet was to figuratively portray the picture of uncleanness and shameful food that the people of Israel would be forced to eat both during the siege that would soon take place and later in the foreign countries where they would be carried captive. It is also to show God’s disgust for sins.
The prophet pleaded to God heartily that he had never defiled himself by eating abominable things forbidden by the law. God then considered his request by allowing him to cook the food with cow’s dung. God knew the prophet was making the request from the integrity of his heart.
We learn from this prophetic illustration that sin can make a believer to lose God’s favour and grace. It makes him to lose privileges, position, pleasure, prosperity, preservation and health. Sin brings shame, disgrace and humiliation. It causes penury and want. It brings punishment and pain. It brings oppression, captivity, affliction, anguish and sorrow. Sinners and backsliders should therefore understand the hard times ahead of them and do something now to escape divine judgment.

Serving God With Your Resources. Giving Your Resources To God Is Part Of Your Service To God. We Are Saved To Serve God.
And they received of Moses all the offering, which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it withal. And they brought yet unto him free offerings every morning. Exodus 36:3.
It has been established that service to God is a duty or responsibility of every child of God. We are saved to serve God (Exodus 3:12).
One of the dimensions of Kingdom Service is serving God with your abilities and potentials. Another dimension of Kingdom service is service with one’s resources. This implies serving God with the resources that you have.
Exodus 36:3, 5 says,
And they received of Moses all the offering, which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it withal. And they brought yet unto him free offerings every morning. And they spake unto Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which the Lord commanded to make.
This means giving your resources to God is part of your service to Him.
Even the pastor is not excluded from serving God with his resources. It is wrong for a pastor to say, “I am already preaching. I have already given myself to God. So, I don’t need to give offering or tithe anymore.”
As a pastor, I have never been comfortable to raise an offering when there was no offering in my own hands. I have been preaching on tithes and giving for more than twenty years. And I have been giving tithes for more than thirty-four years. I gave tithes and offerings ten years before I ever became a pastor. That was my regular practice as a student in the university.
So, no usher or choir member is excused from giving their resources to God. You don’t become too busy doing other things and then your resources do not follow you to serve.
Beloved, make it a regular practice to serve God with your resources. It is a covenant obligation.
Remember This: Giving your resources to God is part of your service to God.
Make up your mind to serve God with your resources.

Lord, I thank You for letting me know that giving my resources is part of my service to You. I receive the grace and discipline to release my resources to You, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

Receive The Gift Of Salvation Now. Jesus Only Came To Save Sinners. Unless An Individual Acknowledges That He Is A Sinner, He Cannot Be Saved.
Mark 10:21 ‘Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.’

Notice that the scripture makes special mention of Jesus loving this rich young ruler. This is stated after this young man said he had kept all of God’s commands, which was not the truth. Jesus was showing him that he had broken the very first commandment that states, ‘Thou shalt have no other gods before me’ (Exodus 20:3), and also the tenth commandment that says, ‘Thou shalt not covet…’ (Exodus 20:17). Jesus’ tough answer of ‘sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor’ was not intended to hurt this young man. It was said from a heart of love and intended for his own good. This man’s money had become his god and it had to be dethroned before Jesus could become Lord.
The one thing this young man lacked was faith in Jesus as his Savior. This young ruler was trusting in his goodness and not in the salvation that Jesus offered as a gift. Millions of people are making the same mistake today. They trust in themselves instead of God.
Jesus only came to save sinners. Unless an individual acknowledges that he is a sinner, he cannot be saved. Because the whole world is guilty before God, He has provided one way of salvation for everyone. In the same way that everyone is guilty, everyone also has been justified freely by God’s grace.
That does not mean everyone is saved. Everyone has had the sacrificial offering of Jesus made for their sins by grace but grace alone doesn’t save.
We have to put faith in what God has provided for us by grace. Although the price has been paid for the sins of the whole world, only those who receive it by faith will benefit from the salvation that Jesus offers.
