David knew from a young age that he has been despised and rejected but at the backside of the desert, he began to pursue God.
He committed himself to loving, serving and obeying God. That was why he said in Psalm 23 that “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.” He knew that as long as the shepherd is with the sheep, there can be no need unmet.
