Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.

Ephesians 6:10

Ephesians_6-10-1: Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Ephesians_6-10-1: Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil

There’s a popular singing competition television show today called The X Factor. The show gets its title from a term that’s used to denote a certain quality or qualities that cause a person to rise above the ordinary and become a star.

Years ago, I picked up a book at the bookstore entitled The X Factor: A Quest for Excellence written by George Plimpton. In it, the author surveyed athletes looking for that extra something in their lives that propels them to victory. He also looked at those who are successful in the business world, in politics, and…

Jesus Can Break Any Addiction That You Have

Worldwide Prayer Point's avatarPrayer Haven

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

2 Corinthians 12:9

2-Corinthians_12-9: And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me 2-Corinthians_12-9: And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me

I met with a young couple awhile back who shared a beautiful story of how Jesus had broken the power of addiction in their lives. This young man had recently come to Christ and was an alcoholic. He shared, “The moment I came to Jesus Christ, He took away my desire to drink instantly!”

When Jesus was living on earth, He delivered people from demonic spirits and powers…

Worldwide Prayer Point's avatarPrayer Haven

Pope Francis is set to feature in a movie ‘Beyond the Sun’ which will make him officially the first Roman Catholic pope to play himself in a big screen production. The movie will be a family adventure story where children from different cultures emulate the apostles while searching for Christ in the world around them, according to AMBI Pictures, the makers of the film.

index

The idea for the film came from the Holy Father, who approached the filmmakers at AMBI Pictures, asking them to produce a movie that could effectively portray Gospel passages & parables to children

All proceeds from “Beyond the Sun” will go to El Almendro and Los Hogares de Cristo, charities in Argentina that provide support for at-risk children and young adults in need. AMBI pictures co-founder Andrea Iervolino said in a statement that working with the Holy Father will be a highlight of his career. “Our excitement and…

Let The Word Of Christ Dwell In You Richly

Worldwide Prayer Point's avatarPrayer Haven

By Jack Graham

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

Colossians 3:16

Colossians_3-16-3: Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. God Answers Prayers

I remember it like it was yesterday… moving our oldest child into his college dorm. It was such an emotional experience. Prior to that time I got some time to sit down with him and just talk about the future.

So I told him, “I want to give you a little word of counsel as your father because you’re going to be on your own; you’re going to be making choices separate from your parents now. And…

Live Daily For Christ Jesus

Worldwide Prayer Point's avatarPrayer Haven

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Colossians 3:17

Colossians_3-23: And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men Colossians_3-23: And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men

The famous Christian author, Dr. Oswald Sanders, said that we are to be “supernaturally natural and naturally supernatural.” That is, in the spiritual realm of our lives, we are to be totally natural—not forcing it or faking it. And then in day-to-day life, we’re to be supernatural—completely transformed by the Spirit of God.

You see, a lot of people like to make the Christian life about living spiritually in certain contexts. They’ll go to church on Sunday, maybe attend a Bible study now and then, and they’re very good about playing the part. But if you take them outside of those contexts, they’re essentially no different than…

Christ Connections

Worldwide Prayer Point's avatarPrayer Haven

To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some.

1 Corinthians 9:22

Matthew_1-21: And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins Matthew_1-21: And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins

Whatever it takes… whatever the methodology… and whatever the means, we need to be reaching out for Christ. There’s no reason Christians shouldn’t be connecting with our culture and reaching out in creative ways with the Gospel.

Think of creative ways you can invite others to experience Christ. Connect with your neighbors by inviting them over for a cookout, football games, etc. Meet other people at your kids’ schools or through social clubs. Don’t be reclusive, but make “Christ connections” that will impact eternity!

Make An Effort To Creatively Connect With Others Who Need To…

Why Should I Pray?

Worldwide Prayer Point's avatarPrayer Haven

Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually!

1 Chronicles 16:11

2-Chronicles_7-14: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land 2-Chronicles_7-14: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land

Sometimes I encounter Christians who ask me, “Why should I pray? God already knows what He’s going to do, so doesn’t He already have the answer?” Well, I tell them that it’s in prayer that you discover what God wants to do. It’s in prayer that you determine God’s wisdom, God’s way, God’s plan, and God’s desires. It’s in prayer that you make yourself available to God.

I like to think of it like the photo plates that were used to develop pictures. That photo plate was taken into a dark room where the time exposure…

It’s hard to imagine what it was like for Jesus to live under the shadow of the cross every day of His life. Even as a lad in Joseph’s carpenter shop, nailing those nails into a piece of lumber, He must’ve thought about the day when those soldiers would drive the nails in His hands and in His feet.

One of my favourite pictures of Jesus portrays Christ as a toddler. It’s the end of the day. He’s playing next to His father, Joseph, in his carpentry shop and the sun is setting. And as Jesus is kneeling down handling some metal spikes…
