Just Ask

You have not because you ask not (Jas 4:2). Jesus said, “Ask and you will receive (Matt 7:7). Until now you have not asked for anything in My Name. Ask and you will receive, that your joy may be full (John 16:24).”

Don’t wish you had money. Don’t wish you had a job. Don’t wish you were prettier. Wishing is not asking. The Lord said, “You may ask Me for anything in My Name, and I will do it (John 14:14).”

Don’t complain about your partner. Ask God for wisdom in your relationship. Don’t complain of discrimination in your work place. Ask for promotion. Complaining is not asking.

And don’t beg. God hates begging. There’s no love in begging. God loves you. Just ask Him. And ask big. God dares you, “Ask of Me, and I’ll give you the nations for your inheritance (Ps 2:8).”

Approach the throne of grace with confidence (Heb 4:16). Guilt and shame come from the enemy. We don’t receive from God because of our righteousness. He gives us because He is our loving Father.
