Preach God’s love And Goodness

Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance (Romans 2:4)

When we preach the Gospel, what exactly are we preaching? The Gospel is good news—the availability of the righteousness of God. Jesus didn’t come to condemn the world. The Bible says, “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved” (John 3:17). So what did Jesus tell us to do? He said, “Preach the Gospel!”

We’re to tell the world how good, gracious and kind God is; He’s not the God of judgement, but the God of love. So, preach His love. I remember when I used to go for crusades with the movie, titled, “Burning Hell.” It scared people to repentance, but only for a while. The fear didn’t last because it was based on emotion, not true repentance. It’s the goodness of God that leads men to repentance, not the judgement of God.

When people hear about the goodness of God, they’re moved to come out of their darkness. Think about Noah; he preached about the coming judgement for years, but how many people repented and entered the Ark with him? It was only his family. The same happened with Lot. But when the Apostles preached the Gospel, the good news, nations were changed! Hallelujah!

The Gospel is the message of hope, love, life, and victory in Christ. Of course, there’s a hell, and not just hell, there’s also the lake of fire where hell itself will be cast into with Satan and all who reject salvation. But blessed be God; no one who believes in Jesus should be afraid of going to hell, because Jesus already went to hell in our behalf. He paid the price, and gave us eternal life so we can live eternally in victory and success. He brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for the Gospel—the good news of Your righteousness, love, and grace. I declare that I am a carrier of this message, spreading the light of Your goodness wherever I go. Thank You, Lord, for delivering me from the power of darkness and translating me into the kingdom of Your dear Son Jesus Christ, My Lord and Personal Saviour. I rejoice in the victory and eternal life You have given me in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah! Amen.

I will not leave you nor forsake you

Joshua 1:5

“No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live, just as I was with Moses. I will not leave you or forsake you.” [CSB]

INSPIRATION

(“I will not leave you nor forsake you).”

“This statement echoes the unwavering faithfulness of God throughout history. God reminded Joshua of His presence with Moses, guiding and sustaining him through the wilderness journey. Similarly, God assures us that He will not fail or abandon us in our Christian walk, trials, and endeavors.

In Joshua 1:5, God gave a profound promise to Joshua as he led the Israelites out of Egyptian bondage and into the Promised Land: ‘No man will be able to stand against you as long as you live. I will be with you, just as I was with Moses. I will not leave you nor forsake you.’

This precious promise remains true for God’s people today, rescued from sin’s slavery and Satan’s subjection. It boils down to trusting God’s promises, believing His Word, and embracing Scripture’s truth.

Throughout Israel’s journey, God’s faithfulness shines. Despite their failures, grumblings, and attempts to achieve God’s plans in their strength, His promises stood firm. God’s pledges to His children, including you, remain unbroken.

‘No man will be able to stand against you as long as you live’ (Joshua 1:5). The gates of hell cannot prevail against us, for God dwells within and stands beside us. Even when our faith wavers and we stumble, God’s love and truth remain steadfast, forgiving, and redeeming.

Scriptures:

Joshua 1:5

Matthew 16:18

Hebrews 13:5

Prayer for the day:

“Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank You for another day of life, blessed with good health and a sound mind. May Your name be exalted forever more in Christ Jesus! Amen.

Just as You empowered Joshua, grant us:

Strength in weakness

Love in abandonment

Courage in fear

Wisdom in uncertainty

Healing in sickness

Comfort in loneliness

Hope in despair

Peace in turmoil

Bless the work of our hands as we go forth today, seeking our daily bread. Guide us and bring us back to our homes with songs of praise and testimonies of Your goodness O Lord My GOD!

Thank You Heavenly Father, for answering our prayers. We pray in Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.”

Priority Exchange Programme

FOOD FOR THOUGHT!!

“Delight thyself also in the LORD; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart” [PSALM 37 v 4].

This is another glorious day that the Lord God Almighty has made for us. Hallowed His Holy name in Jesus name! Amen.

“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, He may give it you” [JOHN 15:16].

Soul winning is an urgent divine business. It is very paramount to God because He does not want any to perish but that all might be born again [2 PETER 3:9]. In the same vein, every one of us has something that is of utmost importance to him or her.

The one who will enter his breakthrough would be wise enough to soft Pedal on his desires and goal and take God’s priority as his. As soon as God sees this, He will reciprocate by subordinating His priority to yours.

In other words, an exchange of priority is possible. If you make God’s priority your number one priority, God will make sure what you should have lost by relaxing your priority for His turns into gain.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” [MATTHEW 6:33]. If you check the lives of those who entered into priority exchange covenant with God, they were outstanding and fulfilled. Human beings have many desires in their life time.

While some are fulfilled, several others will remain as wishes. In PSALM 37:4, a call is made for an exchange of priority: “Delight thyself also in the LORD; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”

Beloved, one sure way to obtain your desires is by making God’s desires your delight. The more you rejoice in the things that glorify God and make them your first priority, the more God gives you your desires.  The things you are struggling to achieve or to have may take you quite some effort and time.

But if you can enter into the priority exchange programme, you are guaranteed that such desires and needs will be granted without stress. Blessings will pursue you as you pursue God. You should be their target.

When you target blessing, you may hit or miss. But when you become the target of blessings, they won’t miss you. Be engaged in soul winning today. Subordinate your goals and plans to God’s. If you have a need and there is a need in God’s house, suspend yours and meet with God’s. Beloved, deliberately give your time, talent and resources to see to the expansion of God’s kingdom. Friend, your end will surely be glorious in Jesus name.

Dearly beloved, if you make God number One in everything, people will call you a fool but later acknowledge you are wiser than them.

Remain in Christ Jesus blessed, saved, safe, redeemed, sanctified and always rapturable in Jesus Christ amazing name Amen-Shalom

By Pastor Peter Ali

Prayer Points:

1. Lord Jesus Christ! Please help me to prioritize Your desires above my own at all times! Amen.

2. Dear Holy Spirit! Please give me a burden for soul winning and a passion to see others saved to God’s glory in Christ Jesus! Amen.

3. Dear Heavenly Father! Please help me to seek Your kingdom first and trust You to provide my needs, to Your Glory alone in Christ Jesus! Amen.

4. Dear Heavenly Father! Please empower me to delight in You and make Your desires my delight in Christ Jesus! Amen.

5. Dear Heavenly Father! Please use me as a vessel to expand Your kingdom and bring glory to Your Holy Name! Amen.

Bible Verses:

1. Matthew 6:33 – “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

2. 2 Peter 3:9 – “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

3. Psalm 37:4 – “Delight thyself also in the LORD; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”

4. Proverbs 19:21 – “There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.”

5. Philippians 2:13 – “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.”

Additional Bible Verses:

1. Psalm 105:4 – “Seek the LORD, and His strength: seek His face evermore.”

2. Luke 10:2 – “Therefore said He unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He would send forth labourers into His harvest.”

3. Acts 20:24 – “But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.”

May these prayer points and Bible verses inspire and guide you as you prioritize God’s desires and engage in soul winning in Christ Jesus! Amen.

A Lazy Man

LET US PRAY

PROVERBS 26: 13

A sluggard says, “There’s a lion in the road, a fierce lion roaming the streets!”

A lazy man thinks there is a lion on the street so he would rather stay home than go out to work for his livelihood.  A student who keeps postponing the time to wake up to read will surely end up with very poor result.

Please do not procrastinate even your time of fellowship with God.

A man who values time will surely prosper in life. Laziness is one factor that wastes time.

 PRAY:

Lord please, quicken me so that I can stop procrastination that steals away my time, in Jesus Christ Amen.

Enjoy A Prosperous Monday.

Put Your Trust In God

Psalm 31: 1-24 (NKJV)

31:1. To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. In You, O LORD, I put my trust; Let me never be ashamed; Deliver me in Your righteousness.

31:2. Bow down Your ear to me, Deliver me speedily; Be my rock of refuge, A fortress of defense to save me.

31:3. For You [are] my rock and my fortress; Therefore, for Your name’s sake, Lead me and guide me.

31:4. Pull me out of the net which they have secretly laid for me, For You [are] my strength.

31:5. Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.

31:6. I have hated those who regard useless idols; But I trust in the LORD.

31:7. I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy, For You have considered my trouble; You have known my soul in adversities,

31:8. And have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy; You have set my feet in a wide place.

31:9. Have mercy on me, O LORD, for I am in trouble; My eye wastes away with grief, [Yes,] my soul and my body!

31:10.  For my life is spent with grief, And my years with sighing; My strength fails because of my iniquity, And my bones waste away.

31:11.  I am a reproach among all my enemies, But especially among my neighbors, And [am] repulsive to my acquaintances; Those who see me outside flee from me.

31:12. I am forgotten like a dead man, out of mind; I am like a broken vessel.

31:13. For I hear the slander of many; Fear [is] on every side; While they take counsel together against me, They scheme to take away my life.

31:14. But as for me, I trust in You, O LORD; I say, “You [are] my God.”

31:15. My times [are] in Your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, And from those who persecute me.

31:16. Make Your face shine upon Your servant; Save me for Your mercies’ sake.

31:17. Do not let me be ashamed, O LORD, for I have called upon You; Let the wicked be ashamed; Let them be silent in the grave.

31:18. Let the lying lips be put to silence, Which speak insolent things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.

31:19.  Oh, how great [is] Your goodness, Which You have laid up for those who fear You, [Which] You have prepared for those who trust in You In the presence of the sons of men!

31:20. You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence From the plots of man; You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion From the strife of tongues.

31:21. Blessed [be] the LORD, For He has shown me His marvelous kindness in a strong city!

31:22. For I said in my haste, “I am cut off from before Your eyes”; Nevertheless You heard the voice of my supplications When I cried out to You.

31:23. Oh, love the LORD, all you His saints! [For] the LORD preserves the faithful, and fully repays the proud person.

31:24. Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the LORD.

The Psalmist confidently declares that his trust is in the Lord, and therefore, he feels secure in expecting God’s deliverance, guidance, mercy, and protection from his enemies. By entrusting his life to God, he commits his times to His hands. He praises God’s goodness to those who trust in Him and blesses the Lord for His marvelous kindness. The Psalmist also encourages the saints to love the Lord for His preservation and urges those who hope in the Lord to be courageous, for they will be strengthened.

In today’s world, filled with crises, wars, food scarcity, insecurity, mass shootings, and kidnappings, people are left wondering who or what to trust. Some put their trust in their abilities, position, wealth, friends, titles, or even idols. However, like the Psalmist, we must put our trust in God (Psalm 20:7), for without Christ, we can do nothing (John 15:5). God’s faithfulness is tried, tested, and trusted for eternity! Amen.

PRAYER: Father; help me to trust you more as I know you more! Amen.

MEMORY VERSE: Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not? – Lamentations 3:37

BIBLE TEXT: Lamentations 3:31-37 (KJV)

31 For the Lord will not cast off for ever:

32 But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.

33 For he doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.

34 To crush under his feet all the prisoners of the earth.

35 To turn aside the right of a man before the face of the most High,

36 To subvert a man in his cause, the Lord approveth not.

37 Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?

GOD’S COUNSEL WILL PREVAIL

Can anything happen without the Lord’s permission either good or bad? God permits what will happen in the life of an individual, without His permission, there is no implementation. Let us look at biblical examples of people that prevailed with God’s permission despite all oppositions.

1) Joseph prevailed against his brothers’ opposition to his dreams. Genesis 37:5-8; 42:6-9

2) David prevailed over opposition from King Saul.

3) Three Hebrew men prevailed evil counsel of king Nebuchadnezzar. Daniel 3:4-25.

4) King Hezekiah prevailed over Assyrians that besieged land of Judah. 2 Kings 19:32-37.

5) Mordecai prevailed over Haman. Esther 6:13

6) Elisha prevailed over king of Syria. 2 Kings 6:11-23.

7) Micaiah prevailed over King Ahab. 1 Kings 22:15-35.

8) Jesus prevailed over devil and his allies (sickness, affliction) Matthew 4:3-11, 14:17-21.

YOUR SIN, YOUR WALL (HINDRANCE) TO YOUR TESTIMONIES.

What is sin?

a) A violation of God’s will, instructions or commandment.

b) Act of wickedness. Genesis 13:13. Psalm 104:35

c) Association with bad company and consenting to bad influence. Proverbs 1:10, 1 Corinthians 15:33.

d) Doing evil. 1 Kings 15:30.

e) Working against God’s programme.

RESULTS OF SIN

  1. Provocation of God’s anger: 1 Kings 15:30, Psalm 104:35.
  2. Removal of divine privileges.
  3. Sinners have no place in God’s plan and chased by trouble. Proverbs 13:21
  4. It brings divine replacement. E.g, King Saul and Eli were replaced. Samuel 3:12-14.
  5. Loss of right in destiny. Proverbs 13:22.

EXAMPLES OF THOSE THAT LOST FULFILLMENT DUE TO SIN

  1. Moses: Did not enter the promise land
  2. Eli: Divine exchange of God’s promises.
  3. Solomon: Division of tribes of Israel.
  4. Ten Spies: Died as a result of evil report.
  5. Micah: Remained barren as a result of despising King David.

SUMMARY: To prevail as a child of God, you have to abstain from what can bring God’s wrath. Joseph prevailed against his brothers’ opposition to his dreams. Genesis 37:5-8, Genesis 42:6-9.

CONCLUSION: The thought of God towards His elect is always positive. Jeremiah 29:11 (getting the best, being kept from enemy’s advances, enjoying divine privileges, surrounded with destiny helpers and walking in dominion) but all these can be reversed and lost when there is provision and retention of sinful lives.

PRAYER POINTS

  1. Father, help to prevail over opposition this wicked world.
  2. Father, please give victory over evil counsel of the enemy.
  3. Father, deliver my destiny from every demonic siege laid against my glory.
  4. Father, please quench every violent fire spreading across the world.
  5. Father, I decree total end to evil dominance in our nations.
  6. Father, increase your anointing on Pastor and Pastor (Mrs) Enoch Adeboye.
  7. Father, take RCCG to new level of extraordinary greatness.

Hymn 778 Where High the Heavenly Temple Stands

Where high the heav’nly temple stands,

The house of God not made with hands,

A great High Priest our nature wears,

The patron of mankind appears.

2: He, who for men their Surety stood,

And pour’d on earth His precious blood,

Pursues in heav’n His mighty plan,

The Saviour and the Friend of man.

3: Though now ascended up on high,

He bends on earth a Brother’s eye;

Partaker of the human name,

He knows the frailty of our frame.

4: Our Fellow-suff’rer yet retains

A fellow-feeling of our pains;

And still remembers in the skies

His tears, His agonies, and cries.

5: In every pang, that rends the heart,

The Man of sorrows had a part;

He sympathizes with our grief

And to the suffrer sends relief.

6: With boldness, therefore, at the throne,

Let us make all our sorrows known;

And ask the aid of heav’nly pow’r

To help us in the evil hour.

Thank You Jesus,

Perpetual Winner

A Perpetual Winner (Summary)

Preacher: Pastor Joe Mbulu

The topic that we will be sharing is dual, you can select the one you like: “Winning Always or you can choose The Perpetual Winner”, and the Bible texts are from2nd Corinthians 4: 1 – 9 and Philippians 3:13 – 15.

We are winners, we were created to be winners from the beginning in Genesis 1: 28. Of who we are, we are more than conquerors, and we have been called to bear fruit; of what we are, we have all things according to 2nd Peter 1: 3.

Things that deprive us of the full benefits of Christ:

  • Procrastination, Ecclesiastes 11: 4, Proverbs 15:19.
  • Fear, Matthew 10:29 – 31.
  • Despondency, Hebrews 10: 35 – 39.

So what would God have us consider?

  • Strengthen our mindset, Philippians 4: 8, Colossians 3: 2.
  • Review your purpose
  • Arise, Genesis 13:17
  • Engage
  • Service
  • Increasing your connection
  • Stay crucified with Christ, Colossians 3: 1 & 5

Prayer Points:

Lord Jesus Christ! Please help me embrace my identity as a winner and more than a conqueror in You O Lord! Amen (Genesis 1:28, Romans 8:37).

Dear Heavenly Father! Please give me strength to overcome procrastination and laziness, to Your glory alone in Christ Jesus, my Lord and personal Savior! Amen. (Ecclesiastes 11:4, Proverbs 15:19).

Dear Holy Spirit! Please free me from fear and anxiety, replacing them with faith and trust in You! Amen.  (Matthew 10:29-31).

Dear Holy Spirit! Please help me rise above despondency and discouragement, to GOD’s glory in Christ Jesus my Lord and Savior! Amen (Hebrews 10:35-39).

Dear Heavenly Father! Please strengthen my mindset with Your truth and promises, in Jesus Christ name I pray! Amen (Philippians 4:8, Colossians 3:2).

Dear Holy Spirit! Please Reveal my purpose and help me stay focused on it, to God’s glory in Christ Jesus my Lord and personal Saviour! Amen. (Genesis 13:17).

Dear Heavenly Father! Please Empower me to arise, engage, and serve with passion and dedication, all to Your glory in Christ Jesus! Amen.

Increase my connection with You, Lord Jesus Christ, and help me abide in Your presence forever more! Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father! Please help me stay crucified with Christ, denying self and living for Your will! Amen. (Colossians 3:1-5).

Bible Verses:

  1. Psalm 103:2-5 (Remembering God’s benefits)
  2. Isaiah 41:10 (Fear not, for God is with you)
  3. 2 Corinthians 2:14 (Leading us in triumph)
  4. Galatians 2:20 (Crucified with Christ)
  5. Ephesians 2:10 (Created for good works)

PRAYER:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for creating me to be a winner and more than a conqueror. Help me overcome procrastination, fear, and despondency.

Strengthen my mindset with Your truth and reveal my purpose.

Empower me to arise, engage, and serve with passion.

Increase my connection with You and help me stay crucified with Christ.

Fill me with Your Spirit and guide me in Your will.

In Jesus Christ Mighty name, I pray. Amen.

May these prayer points and Bible verses inspire you to walk in victory and purpose in Christ Jesus! Amen.

Reflection Areas:

Never Envy Anyone

Beyond the Facade: A Reminder to Focus on Your Journey

Don’t envy anyone; you never know their hidden struggles. Social media often masks reality.

Behind the seductive posts, some individuals are crying out for validation, nursing heartbreak, or seeking attention from those who rejected them.

Beneath the flashy displays of wealth, some people are drowning in debt, desperate to conceal their financial woes.

Many wear masks to hide their pain. Wish them well, but don’t envy them. Celebrate your unique journey; you are enough.

You’re not in competition with anyone; your path is distinct. Focus on your race, and be grateful for your life – a precious gift from God. What you do with it is your gift back to Him.

Don’t be distracted by superficial allurements. Be purpose-driven, embracing self-discovery.

As Proverbs 23:17-18 reminds us:

“Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the Lord. There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.” (NIV)

Stay true to yourself, and keep moving forward.

Additional Reflection:

  1. Compare yourself only to who you were yesterday.
  2. Authenticity is beauty; don’t hide behind masks.
  3. Gratitude unlocks happiness.
  4. Your worth isn’t measured by likes or followers.

May this reminder inspire you to stay focused on your journey and cherish the beauty of your unique path in Christ Jesus! Amen.

Prayer Points:

Lord Jesus Christ! Please help me focus on my own journey and celebrate my unique blessings in You! Amen.

(Psalm 37:4 – “Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”)

Dear Holy Spirit! Please give me eyes to see the hidden struggles of others and compassion to pray for them, in Jesus Christ mighty name I pray! Amen.

(Galatians 6:2 – “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”)

Protect me Dear Heavenly Father from the temptation to compare myself to others! Amen.

(2 Corinthians 10:12 – “We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise.”)

Dear Heavenly Father! Please fill me with gratitude for what I have, and help me trust Your provision for me, for in Jesus Christ mighty name I pray! Amen.

(1 Thessalonians 5:18 – “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”)

Lord Jesus Christ! Please help me find my identity and worth in You alone! Amen.

(Ephesians 2:10 – “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”)

Dear Heavenly Father! In the mighty name of Jesus Christ! Please give me wisdom to recognize the masks people wear and pray for their true needs! Amen.

(Matthew 9:36 – “When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.”)

Holy Spirit! Please keep me from coveting what belongs to others! Amen.

(Exodus 20:17 – “You shall not covet anything that belongs to your neighbor.”)

Additional Bible Verses:

  1. Proverbs 14:30 – “A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.”
  2. 1 Timothy 6:6-8 – “But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.”
  3. Psalm 37:1-3 – “Do not fret because of those who are evil or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away.”

PRAYER:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Please help me walk in contentment, free from envy and comparison. Give me eyes to see the struggles of others and a heart to pray for them. May my identity and worth be found in You alone in Christ Jesus, my Lord and my personal Saviour.

Thank You for Your Word, which guides me in Your truth.

In Jesus Christ name, I pray. Amen.

May these prayer points and Bible verses inspire you to cultivate a spirit of contentment and gratitude!

May God’s peace, love, and contentment fill your heart and life. Remember, your worth and value come from GOD alone.

Have a blessed day!

Some People Will Leave You

Some people are going to leave you. But that’s not the end of your story. That’s the end of their part in your story. It’s God who shifts seasons and brings new players on your stage.

In fact, some people will leave you halfway through the woods for you to develop your own wings. Others will leave you when the going gets tough. If someone wants to leave, you can’t make them stay.

The ones that remain have not finished their part in your story. You’ll never be alone. Nature has no vacuum. Some people have to leave to create room for fresh associations.

Orpah had to leave Naomi. But Ruth was ready to die with Naomi. Their destinies were inextricably linked. If they’re meant to stay, there’s nothing you can say or do that will make them leave you.

As a matter of fact, sometimes you are the one who will leave some people behind for you to move on. Just make sure you leave people better than you found them. And always part ways in peace.

PRAYER:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for orchestrating my life’s story. Help me trust Your plan, even in seasons of change and goodbyes. Give me wisdom to know when to hold on and when to let go. May I leave a lasting, positive impact on those around me, in Jesus Christ mighty name I pray! Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for being my constant companion. Help me trust Your plan for my life, including the relationships that come and go. Give me wisdom to know when to hold on and when to let go. May I always leave people better than I found them and part ways in peace, for in Jesus Christ name I pray! Amen.

Scripture Reflection

  1. Ruth 1:16-17 (Ruth’s commitment to Naomi)
  2. Psalm 37:23-24 (God’s guidance and support)
  3. Philippians 3:13-14 (Pressing on toward the goal)

Additional Bible Verses:

  1. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (A time for everything)
  2. Romans 8:28 (God works all things for good)
  3. Psalm 37:23-24 (God’s guidance and support)

May God’s guidance and peace be with you as you navigate life’s relationships and transitions.

Remember, God is always working things out for your good (Romans 8:28).

Have a blessed day!

Prescription for Anxiety

“Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.” (Psalm 55:22)

According to a Wall Street Journal report, anxiety has overtaken depression as the leading mental health problem in the United States. Anxiety-fighting drugs are now the top-selling pharmaceutical products. Even with a booming economy and a healthy stock market, worry and apprehension remain part of our human condition – one that can never be adequately relieved by a pill.

When David composed Psalm 55, his mind was agitated by the same types of situations we struggle with today:

He recoiled in horror from the violence, anger, and abuse that stalked the city streets (Psalm 55: 9-11).

He suffered the anguish of being betrayed by a close friend (Psalm 55: 1,2-1,4).

He longed to leave and escape to a place of peace (Psalm 55: 4-8).

Because David’s anxious pain mirrors our own, his prescription for relief can be ours as well. He wrote, “I will call upon God, and the Lord shall save me. . . Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you” (vv. 16,22).

Anxiety is a burden we are not called to bear. Instead, we are to lay our concerns on Christ because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7 and Philippians 4:6-7). If your heart is weighed down today, the Lord is ready to bear every burden you give Him. God invites us to burden Him with what burdens us.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come to You with a heavy heart, weighed down by worries and fears. Help me to cast my burdens upon You, trusting in Your loving care and sustaining power. May Your peace guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Amen.

Beloved, the Almighty God will grant you victory over household wickedness, every door of affliction, oppression, and opposition opened to the enemy by your household, foundation, and bloodline wicked powers is closed now, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Friends, your family plays an interesting role in the fulfilment of your destiny. No external power has any spiritual legal rights to harm you without the cooperation of powers from your family.

Pilate said to Jesus Christ “Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?”

John 18:33-35 KJV

Cain killed his brother Abel, Jacob stole Esau’s blessings, Joseph brothers sold him into slavery, Abimelech the son of Gideon killed seventy of his brothers, Jephthah was disinherited by his brothers; Amnon raped his step sister Tamah, and Absalom killed Amnon for defiling his sister Tamah, they were all King David’s children.

I decree, household wasters will not waste your destiny, household emptiers will not waste your destiny, household glory sellers will not sell your glory, household glory exchangers will not exchange your glory, the Lord will fight for you, and you will be victorious over bloodline powers, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Prophesy upon yourself that household wickedness will not destroy your destiny, in the name of Jesus Christ.

The Psychology of Winning

Preacher: Pastor Tunde Jenrola

(Parish Pastor, CTL, LP 20)

Hallelujah! Jehovah Ropheka, we trust in You that even as we worship You, because there is healing in Your name, You will touch us in the name of Jesus.  We trust You already that there is healing in the bodies, healing in the soul, healing of the spirit, healing of businesses, healing of families, healing of careers, healing of wounded hearts, healing for our nation, in the mighty name of Jesus.

Father, we thank You; we thank You for Your presence in our midst, we thank You for what you have already done, we thank You for that which You will do; Father, thank You for Your Word; thank You because You are going to speak to us this morning; Father Lord, we ask for the grace of understanding and the grace for Your word to find fulfillment in our lives in the name of Jesus.

My God and my Father, Your desire for us is that we are winners in all circumstances of life, Father Lord, from today, if there is anything working against us winning, Lord God of heaven, take them away in Jesus mighty name.

Thank You my God and my Father, glory be to Your name forevermore, in Jesus wonderful name we have prayed. Praise the Lord!

Thank God for the gift of life, thank God for the salvation of my soul; I would like to appreciate our father in the Lord, the APICR, for this privilege that I have to stand before you this morning, I pray that the mighty hands of God will be upon him continually in Jesus mighty name, Amen.

Brethren, before we go into the message today, I would want to invite all of us to the prayer chain tomorrow at 6:30 in the evening; the theme for tomorrow prayer chain is ‘You are a Divine Project’, Jeremiah 1: 4 – 12, praise God!

Numbers 13: 17 – 33 , “As Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said unto them, get you up this way southward, and go up into the mountain: 18And see the land, what it is: and the people that dwelleth therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many; 19And what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad; and what cities they be that they dwell in, whether in tents, or in strongholds; 20And what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be good therein, or not. And be ye of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the firstripe grapes.

21So they went up, and searched the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob, as men came to Hamath. 22And they ascended by the south, and came unto Hebron; where Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the children of Anak, were. (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt). 23And they came unto the brook of Eshcol, and cut down from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it between two upon a staff; and they brought of the pomegranates, and of the figs. 24The place was called the brook Eshcol, because of the cluster of grapes which the children of Israel cut down from thence.

25And they returned from searching of the land after forty days. 26And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land. 27And they told him, and said, We came onto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it flowerg with milk and honey: and this is the fruit of it. 28Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there. 29The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south, and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.

30And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it. 31But the men that went up with him said, we be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we. 32And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, the land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof (how come the people there are still alive?); and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. 33And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight. Praise the Lord!

“The Psychology of Winning”, that is our topic for today; quickly we will look at the two keywords there – psychology and winning, and then we’ll go into the word, the background of the message, and then go into the details of the message. I’m not an expert in psychology, so I consulted the dictionary to just look at the meaning of psychology; it says it is the scientific study of the mind and behavior. It looks at how the mind works and how that affects our behavior. So that says to me, psychology is about what is the mind saying, what is the mind doing? If you know what the mind is saying or what’s going on in the mind, then you can predict the behavior, the action that follows it.

I was trying to give examples here; some days ago, I was driving early in the morning to the office, and then I got to a point where there were people who wanted to cross the road, so I stopped, I was the next to the people crossing, so I stopped, because it was morning time, everybody was going to work, it was a rush hour, practically everybody was hurrying to cross, but there was this young man that was just doing like government pikin, in my mind, I was like go now, but something immediately told me, check his mind, the mind of this young man is ‘let us see if he will harass me, press the horn or do something’ and then the next action will take place.

I said okay, now that I understand, so I balanced also, I was also looking at him; when he finished and noticed I didn’t do anything, he looked back as if he was disappointed, but what had happened was, if I had done anything in a way to hurry him up, you don’t know who else was waiting elsewhere and then say he’s harassing, he’s doing this and that, that’s a kind of thing about psychology.

Another example, one that many of us are used to: if you are going and suddenly you see a dog, (I was laughing this morning when the APICR was making an example of a dog), the first instinct is you want to run, but the moment the dog sees you running, he runs after you, do you know why, the dog thinks you want to play; he’d say oh, I have not had a playmate for some time, so the dog is running after you. But if you understand the psychology of dog and say this dog wants to play and now you don’t have time to play, you will stay; if the dog is charging at you, look around for something like a stick and scare the dog away to go, but that’s psychology.

Now when we talk about winning; winning, on the other hand, is gaining victory or something related to victory in the contest or a competition, and it is to achieve victory in a contest. Winning is an adjective from the word win, so all of us know the word win, other words for that is being victorious, prevailing, succeeding, conquering, triumphing. So to win, suggests that there is a competition, you can’t win when there is no competition, and you see sometimes, this competition that we talk about, you don’t even see it. For example, living is a competition; that you are alive today is a confirmation that you have won a certain battle, let somebody shout, Hallelujah. So I have winners in the house, because you have overcome certain things, praise the living Jesus.

So it may be competition that is seen or not seen, it may be simple, it may be in the office, it may be in the business – you bid for a contract, its competition, somebody eventually wins. From today, God will make you winners in the mighty name of Jesus.

Living is a contest; that you are alive today, like I said, is victory on its own; that you are well, you are hale and hearty is victory on its own. Because the Bible tells us in Psalm 34: 19 that many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord God delivered him from them all, hallelujah! So the psychology of winning speaks to how our mind can play a significant role in the result that we get out of my life, and I know that a typical man or woman wants to win, has a desire to win, so the psychology, what it does is the role that our mind plays in getting things done in our favor, in getting success, in being victorious, and the Lord will make us victorious in the name of Jesus.

Proverbs 23: 7, the Bible says as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he; Proverbs 4: 23, the Bible says keep your heart with all diligence: for out of it are the issues of life; Proverbs 22:29, the Bible says, seest thou a man who is diligent in his business… so there’s a psychology to winning, you do not only want it, you do not only desire it, you must grab it, praise the living Jesus.

There’s a story I have here about a certain man called Nabal; David sent people to him to say give us something out of your supplies, (I won’t be able to go into the scripture) and then he reacted somehow, and David was about to go and destroy him, but the wife Abigail heard and said ah, this man is coming to kill him, so she ran to David and calmed him down and then he spared his life.

But you know, the interesting things happened after – subsequently a few days after, the man died on his own, David did not touch him; subsequently also, as soon as the man died, Abigail became the wife of David, there’s a psychology to winning, she became a queen, praise the living Jesus! May the Lord teach us aright in Jesus mighty name.

So we’ll go into the passage we read from and take a bit of context from it: the background to that passage is that after the children of Israel came out of Egypt and they got into the wilderness, they’ve been there for some time, God has sustained them, and then it was about time to go into the Promised Land, because remember the wilderness was not where God promised him for them, the wilderness was just a pass through for them. So they got there and then one day God called Moses and said tell the children of Israel, the land I want to give to them, let them go and look at that land; so select one man from each tribe of Israel (that is twelve men), not just any man, select the leaders of the tribes.

So Moses selected the twelve representatives of the tribes, they were the ones that we saw in this passage now that went to spy the land. So they went to spy the land, I will put their activities of spying the land into three buckets; the first one is a preview, a preview is an opportunity to see something before it happens, hallelujah! So it was a preview, and God was saying, go and check the land before you will even get into it, go and check it and see what exactly is there; Luke 14: 28 tells us, if there is anybody who wants to build a tower, the person must first check the cost. God says you are going to a new place, you are going to a new land, just go and see it for yourselves.

In addition to checking the cost, He was passing three messages to them; first, He was saying to them, go and see it so you will understand the challenges that lie ahead of you. So many times brethren, when we see challenges, they are not actually the problem; they are actually a landmark unto our success. God says, go and see it, God knew that the children of Anak were there, God knew that the cities were walled, God knew the people were fierce and big, but He said go and see.

The second thing God wanted to do was to inspire them, because they saw the fruit; I asked you to take note of certain things – there was a bunch of grapes, they needed two soldiers to carry it, one on each shoulder and they put a stick in between, you can imagine how big that was; God wanted them to see how fruitful the land was, so that at least there will be some excitement and say ha, this is what we are coming to.

And then finally, God wanted them to now take a decision after seeing that. Take a decision, trust Him, because they knew that there were giants there, but they also knew that there was something good, how do I get the something good and defeating the giant, they needed to trust God for that. Remember the story of David, there was Goliath, the David wanted the prize – the daughter of the king, when the Goliath was standing in between, David trusted God.

Brethren, in life, there are opportunities and there are threats; there are things that, hey, this thing can kill, but if I overcome it, there’s a benefit. We need to trust God, that’s where the psychology comes in; our mindset should be such that if God has asked me to go in there, then God will give it to me, how He will do it I do not know, but surely, He will do it, praise the living Jesus.

So they went to the land, they tried to understand the terrain – how many people were there, are they small people, are they big people? They did that eventually, also, they went to bring the fruit of the land, they brought fruit of different types, and then when they came back, they gave everything and reported to Moses.

The second bucket is when they came back, they now decided to analyze their findings; so the first set of people came and said, all of them agreed that ah, that land is good – brethren, God is taking you to a good land, a land that flows with milk and money in the mighty name of Jesus. So they said that land is good, there is abundance, it flows with milk and honey, the grapes were so big that we needed two warriors to carry it.

Numbers 13:25 – 27, then they now said the people there are strong, they are very great, the cities are walled, the giants lived there, Amalekites and all those difficult people lived there, those were the analysis. Brethren, the facts and the truth, they are not the same thing; they stated the facts but God is the truth.

And that takes us to the third bucket of their findings, or their journey, which is now to take a decision based on their findings. So that split them into two categories of ten, they came and said we will not be able to go there, with all the goodies, me, I don’t want to die young; those giants, we look like grasshoppers before them, they will just crash us; the land, it is inhabitants, and I said to myself that haba, when you went there, didn’t you see people there? It would have finished eating all of them before you got there; then they went there again to say that all the people they saw there were men of great stature.

In summary, they were saying, God, You have said Your own, we do not want to die, we will remain where we are. Is there anybody like that in the house? God says go and do, and then you get there and see something difficult, and you say you back up because you can’t surmount the mountain; as God said it, will He not do it? If God asks you to do something, He knows already that there is a problem ahead, He alone knows how He’s going to solve that problem and indeed He will solve it, praise the living Jesus!

Then the second group of people, while that person was talking, Caleb came and said please hold it there, even though what you have said is correct up until the point that the people there were giants and all that, but we were able to take over the land. He now said you this small one, how? He said I have a Father who is the King of kings, who is the Lord of lords, who is the Almighty God, Arannibanise, that is His name, He is the One going to empower me.

Brethren, do you remember when David was meeting Goliath, King Saul said you this small boy, okay, if you want to die, go and die, but David said, when the lion came, God empowered me and I tore it; the bear came also, I defeated it, how much more. He is saying it is not by power, it’s not by might, but the Spirit of the living God.

Brethren, when you face those giants in life, when you face situations that look as if they are going to swallow the inhabitants, when you face situations that make you look like grasshoppers, remember that you have a God who is the King of kings, who is the Lord of lords, who is the Man of war, who is the Almighty, the One who alone has the victory with Him, and until that’s what separated the two of them. Remember they were all leaders, so they knew the scripture, they had read the scripture, but in the face of opposition they forgot God; when troubles come, when challenges come, don’t forget God.

Those people forgot God, they forgot all the things that God had done, they forgot all His miracles, how He parted the Red Sea right in their presence, they forgot when they got to the wilderness, how there was no water and God took them to a place called Elim where there were 12 wells, (Exodus 15) and 70 palm trees; they forgot how when there was no water at a place called Marah that God brought out water out of the rock; they forgot when there was no food and God rained manna every day, morning and evening, flesh and bread, where was all these knowledge? The mountain before them blinded it, may the mountain not blind your sight in the name of Jesus.

2nd Corinthians 4: 3 & 4, “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not …” there is a power in this world that says oh, you’ve gone to church on Sunday, you’ve heard the scripture, you’re excited, and then it puts a screen and then when the issues of life come, you are running around like any other person, brethren, the Lord will lift that veil in the mighty name of Jesus; the Lord will make you who He wants you to be in the name of Jesus.

So the second group say we remember this God, we remember the miracles, we remember what He had done for our fathers, and we remember His words, Numbers 23:19, that He is not a man that He should lie, whenever  He says it, it is done already. Is there anything God has said concerning you? It is done already; they remembered Psalm 62: 11, it says once He has spoken, twice I have heard, that power belongs to God, there’s no power elsewhere but in God. They remembered all these and their strength came, they did not know what they were saying, they only trusted the Word of God and said we are able to take the land, praise the living Jesus!

Now you know what happened, the story continued and of course they took the land, and my mind was, those 10 people, where would they be, hiding. May you not go into hiding when you should be celebrating in the name of Jesus, and may you not lose your inheritance by reason of not understanding or bringing to bare the Word of God that you know in the name of Jesus.

So how does this pertain to us, brethren? We are living at a very auspicious time in the history, the things that we are seeing today, well, I’m not that old but I know that there are many people here who can tell us history, I don’t think we have seen it before, the difficulties, the challenges and guess what, the devil has become so bold that he’s flying different kites to people. You see youths, drugs, you see kidnapping and all sorts, we all know it, we’ve never seen this before and in the midst of it, God remains God, the word that God has given to you must come to pass, so if people are looking at these and are saying with this (dollar) economy that is this much, how am I going to buy a car? In this place where all companies are folding up, when I finish studying, how am I going to get a job? In this situation where families are fighting, is it worth it going into marriage?

Brethren, God has a purpose for your life, and that purpose He will surely bring to pass in the mighty name of Jesus. Remember, life itself is a battle and you must win because John 16: 33, the Bible says in this world, there will be tribulation, but be of good cheer because He has overcome. Those things that we are going through may be part of that story (for the children of Israel), for those spies, part of their story, the template God has written for them was to face those giants; God was going to save them anyway, but they needed to go through it. Maybe what you are going through now is part of your own story, why do you want to hulk when you have the big God, praise God!

I want us to remember that we have God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit which other ally or greater ally can anybody have. Exodus 15: 3, the Bible says the God that we have is a Man of war; the Lord is His name; say it to the devil, bring it on, my God, my Father is a Man of war, Hallelujah!

I want us to remember that He demonstrated this in the case of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, Daniel 3: 15 – 28; the king aid you will not bow down, okay let’s see who your God is. If there’s anybody who is asking, let us see who your God is, the extent that you are standing on the truth and you are right before God, God will prove Himself to them in the mighty name of Jesus. He demonstrated it in the lives of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and He will make a way for us in the name of Jesus.

In Isaiah 43: 11, it says even I, I am the Lord, and beside me, there is no savior. If Somebody is the Lord and no other person can save you, once you run under His cover, He becomes your cover; if anybody wants to come at you, first, they must break His hold upon you and nobody can do that, hallelujah!

As we try to summarize and conclude, what are your challenges today, brethren? What are your problems? What are the difficulties? What are the mountains? What represents the children of Anak? What are the Canaanites before you? Many times, God wants to launch us but He tries us; God had purposed to give them the Promised Land anyway, but He wanted to see the spirit of those that were going to take what He’s going to give, but you know what happened to them, in Numbers 14, God was annoyed when He saw how the whole congregation of Israel took the story and they were saying, Moses, this is where you want to kill us, take us back, we would have stayed in Egypt; God was annoyed but Moses interceded  and said please, have mercy; He said okay, however, everybody who failed to appreciate and understand that I am God, will not see the Promised Land.

Brethren, and that happens to us in life, God has prepared a Promised Land for us, many times we get there, just a tipping point and then something happens, we are not able to take it, may you not miss your Promised Land in the mighty name of Jesus; every encouragement that you need, the Lord Almighty will give to you in the mighty name of Jesus.

As you go through the challenges of life, the message today is you must bring to bear that you are a child of God; you must bring to bear all the scriptures that you know; you must bring to bear the miracles that God has done in the past; you must bring to bear your knowledge of God – who is He, what is He able to do? And then we will overcome the mountains.

Think about the victories that He has given before; I told you about David before, 1st Samuel 17, he said lion came, I killed it, gear came, I killed it, this one will go the same way. He was a boy, the Bible says Goliath’s height was six cubits and one span, I went to look at what that is, one interpretation said 11ft, I believe David would be very short, praise the living Jesus! We must have faith in the presence of our opposition; in the presence of the current challenges, brethren, God still looks after His people, don’t give up, don’t take irrational decisions, don’t do anything that will not glorify God; God has your name written on His palm, He’s taking care of you and all that belongs to you, praise the living Jesus!

I want us to remember brethren, that winning, to win in life is an attitude, there’s a psychology to it, there is a mindset to winning, so if there’s anyone who’s already given up to that sickness, if there’s anyone who is already given away the possibility of making it in life, I pray that your spirit will wake up again in the mighty name of Jesus.

You must approach life with a positive mind, you must approach life in the perspective of a winner. I remember when I was preparing this, there’s something that happened to me in 1993, (31 years ago); I was going to get a job, so I went for an interview and it was a celebrated place at that time, but before I went there, the gentleman, my friend who submitted my CV had told me, this people like to brag about their building, the office, the beauty and all that, so when you come they will ask you what do you think about this building, so he had told me before; so when I got to the interview hall, after everything he said, by the way, what do you think about our building, do you like it? I smiled and said you people, God has given you to me today, so I said this one, what about the building, it’s okay, it’s fine but there’s nothing, I live in Ogudu, come there and see better buildings and all that.

So they all kept quiet, I didn’t come to say I’m like a grasshopper, I gave it to them, the next day they called me, when are you going to start? Brethren, you are not a grasshopper, don’t present yourself to anybody under any situation as though you are a grasshopper because the moment you come out as one, they will see you as it. You are a child of God, you are a winner, that’s who you are, go out that way, you are a giant slayer, you are not a grasshopper; and that situation marked the turning point because that was the beginning of change, not only in my life, in my family, my father and mother, that brought change, praise the living Jesus!

I refer to a passage in 2nd Corinthians 4, it says that the god of this world has blinded the mind of some people so that the light of the gospel is not able to penetrate them, and when the light of the gospel is not able to penetrate, the truth in the gospel cannot make meaning to them, and if the truth in the gospel cannot make meaning to them, you cannot stand out there and declare the word, because you won’t even remember it, you won’t even know how to apply it, praise God!

The moment however, you become a child of God, this god of the world will not have control over you anymore, so he cannot blindside you and then Psalm 119: 130 will become real in your life, the Bible says the entrance of His words gives light and gives understanding;  so today, if you are here this morning, you do not know God, you have heard about Him but you’ve never accepted Him as Lord and Savior, so you don’t know Him, I want to invite you to a life where the light of God will shine upon your life, and then the scripture, the word of God will make meaning into your life and then in the face of opposition, you can say to the mountain, get off into the sea.

[Altar call]

Let’s begin to give thanks to God, for His mercy, for His faithfulness, for His love; ket us give thanks to God, Father, we, thank You; thank you for Your word, thank You for Your mercy, glory be to Your name forevermore, Father thank You, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

We are going to take a few prayer points; when the ten spies got to the point and it appeared every word of scripture they knew flew away out of their mind and they began to say garbage, 2nd Corinthians 4: 4, the god of this world blinded their mind and the word could not illuminate their heart anymore. I don’t know, in the face of challenges you forget God, you forget the scripture, you forget what He has ever done for you, from today, that will be a thing of the past in the mighty name of Jesus.

So we are going to pray and say Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, every activity of the god of this world to blind my mind from the illumination of Your word, Father, put an end to it in the mighty name of Jesus; every activity of the god of this world to blind my mind from receiving the illumination of Your word, Father, put a stop to it in the name of Jesus, thank You Father, in Jesus mighty name we prayed.

You know what happened to the ten spies and every other person who believed their story, someone who is (let us assume) coming from Awe in Oyo state, you want to come to Lekki, you’ve been on a smooth ride and then the person got to the gate of Lekki and had a car crash, just at the point of entrance, that’s what happened to those people, God only needed them to be inspired and then they move, because if you look at Exodus 14, later in that passage, the Amalekites came and God said go and attack them and that was the beginning of the journey into the Promised Land.

You are going to pray, Father, please don’t let me fail at the point of victory in the mighty name of Jesus. Father, please don’t let me fail at the point of victory anymore, thank You Father, in Jesus, mighty name we have prayed.

Brethren, there is one thing that is common to every human being, and it is the desire to win, everybody wants to win but not everybody wins, because everybody does not exhibit the right attitude to win. But from today, you will start winning, and you will keep winning in the mighty name of Jesus.

So you are going to pray and say, Father, please imbibe in me the right attitude for winning at every time, in everything, and always in the mighty name of Jesus.

Prayer point for a successful marriage

The Power of Choosing the Right Partner in Marriage: A Key to Marital Bliss

Advertisements

When seeking a life partner, it’s essential to balance personal preferences with character and behavior. Every man has his ideals, but prioritizing traits like financial stability, beauty, or physical attributes over kindness, respect, and values can lead to marital struggles.

A good woman can elevate a man from sorrow to grace, while the wrong partner can bring him down. Unfortunately, some women can be detrimental to a man’s well-being, leading to feelings of desperation, frustration, and disconnection.

Many men today suffer in silence, turning to escapism or infidelity due to unhappy marriages. However, it’s crucial to recognize that both partners play a role in marital issues.

In a recent conversation, a woman sought advice on her struggling marriage. Through open discussion, she realized her own contributions to the problems and committed to making changes. Months later, she reported a transformed relationship, crediting her newfound understanding and willingness to adapt.

Men’s needs are simple: respect, open communication, loyalty, and a supportive partner. Unfortunately, some women prioritize material possessions and status over emotional connection and mutual growth.

Building a Successful Marriage

A fulfilling relationship requires:

A Call to Action

Key Takeaway

1. Balance personal preferences with character and values.

2. Recognize the impact of problematic partners.

3. Prioritize open communication and mutual respect.

4. Shared values and emotional intelligence are crucial.

5. Marital success is a joint effort.

Prayer Points Do Not Despise Anyone

I had travelled to England on business and decided to spend a few days resting. I decided to do some shopping as well. I wanted Italian suits, but I didn’t know any store dedicated to Italian suits.

Our company lawyer called me to clarify some instruction. He was in England, too. On a whim, I asked him if he knew where I could get Italian suits. He replied that fortuitously, someone gave him a flyer in front of Selfridges. The flyer was from an Italian suit store. He gave me the address. I was on Oxford Street. The store was a walking distance. With family in tow, I went to the store and splurged a little.

On our way back, we passed in front of Selfridges. There was the man handing out the fliers. I put out my hand to receive one. He was about to give me, but then he looked at me and snatched it back. I moved on, but my brother-in-law felt offended. He asked that we go back and show the guy our shopping bags to teach him a Pretty Woman movie kind of lesson. I said, no. The lesson was for me. Like that Yoruba expression, “he will learn his own in front.” Meaning, in time, life will teach him the lesson.

I ruminated over the incident. One has to be careful in life. The guy you think is nothing may just be the one paying your salary. Don’t despise anyone.

I have come across that lesson countless times in the course of my life. It featured in how I met my wife.

But the principle goes back to that statement in the book of Hebrews: “Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!”

Be kind to everyone.

May the lessons from this story inspire you to treat everyone with kindness, respect, and dignity! Amen.

Have a blessed day!

Prayer Points Do Not Despise Anyone:

(Matthew 9:36)

Lord Jesus Christ! Please help me recognize the potential in everyone and encourage them! Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ! Please forgive me for any pride or prejudice that leads me to despise others! Amen.

(1 Corinthians 4:7)

Lord Jesus Christ! Please grant me humility to learn from others, regardless of their status or position! Amen.

(Proverbs 1:7)

2. Luke 10:27 – “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

3. Romans 12:10 – “Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.”

4. 1 Corinthians 12:22 – “On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable.”

5. Galatians 3:28 – “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

Additional Bible Verses:

  1. Proverbs 6:16-19 (Warning against despising others)
  2. Matthew 5:47 (Loving neighbors and enemies)
  3. Acts 10:34 (God shows no favoritism)
  4. James 2:1-13 (No partiality or prejudice)
  5. 1 Peter 2:17 (Honor all people)

Reflection Questions:

1. Who am I tempted to despise or overlook?

2. How can I show value and respect to everyone?

3. What biases or prejudices need to be addressed in my heart?

Action Points against Despising Anyone:

1. Volunteer to serve the marginalized or underprivileged.

2. Listen actively to someone from a different background.

3. Offer encouragement to someone struggling.

4. Pray for those you tend to despise or struggle with.

5. Seek diverse perspectives and friendships.

May these prayer points and Bible verses guide you to value and respect every individual, recognizing their worth and dignity in Christ Jesus! Amen.

May God bless you with a heart of compassion, empathy, and understanding towards all people! Amen.

Prayer Point for a Winner Mindset. Rise Above Criticism

Let Them Talk

If you’re doing nothing, very few people will bother you. If you’re making impact, people will talk. If you are a game-changer, people will talk about you no matter what you do or don’t do.

When criticized, consider the source. Then do what you feel in your heart to be the right thing – for you’ll be criticized anyway. You’ll be damned if you do, and damned if you don’t.

Never allow praise or criticism to get into your head – either can destroy you. The toxic words of critics are a reflection of themselves, not you. Those who criticize others reveal what they lack.

To write a book, produce a song, win elections, start a business, create a product or help the needy is hard. To criticize those who’re trying is easy. Criticism is easy, art is difficult. Doing is hard, talking is easy.

The more bullies criticize you, the less internal peace they will have. Frustrate them by continuously succeeding. You don’t owe anybody an explanation for your God-given talents, gifts and favor.

Salvation Prayers

If you don’t Know Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour and would like to accept him into your life as your personal Lord and Saviour, Please say this prayer:

Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from You. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward You. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that Your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send Your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your Will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
