Retired Anglican Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Most Revd. Prof. Godwin Okpala, has been kidnapped in Umuchu, Anambra state. According to reports, the Archbishop was last seen on Friday when he embarked on a journey to Umuchu, accompanied by his driver.

The Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Rt. Rev. Ndubuisi Obi, has issued a prayer alert, urging intercessory prayers for the Archbishop’s safety and swift return. The relevant authorities have been contacted, and efforts are being made to ensure the Archbishop’s safe release.

The kidnapping has sparked widespread concern, with many calling for increased security measures in the region. The incident is the latest in a series of kidnappings and security breaches in Anambra state.

Sylvester Oromoni’s mother has passed away

The passing of Rosemary Oromoni, Sylvester’s mother, is deeply tragic. May her soul rest in peace, and may the family find strength during this difficult time.

INTRODUCTION:

It is an ordinance of God, that as long as this earth remains, the time to sow and reap will remain operational. Destiny is what God has predetermined a man to be and to become, in His Divine will. However, what you do and what you fail to do, are seeds sowed that largely determine your experience or harvest in the future.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Father, I thank you for opening our eyes to understand the principle of sowing and reaping in this kingdom in Jesus name.

INTRODUCTION:

Prayer is communication between man and divinity. When prayer is effective it avails much. God wants to do many things on the earth today, but it can only be accomplished through the active prayer ministry of the churches. Through prayers we bring to pass the will of God on earth.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Father, thank you for instituting the ministry of prayers and teaching us how to pray in Jesus name. Ps. 100:4.

1. Father, thank you for who you are, the Almighty, the one who speak of a thing and they come into existence in Jesus name. Ps. 95:2-3.

2. Father, thank you for answering our prayers whenever we call upon you in Jesus name. Jer. 33:3.

3. Father, thank you because there is none like unto Thee, glorious in Holiness fearful in praises in Jesus name. Ex 15:11

A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Gerald Ohaeri, has been kidnapped by gunmen in Enugu State, Nigeria.

A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Gerald Ohaeri, has been kidnapped by gunmen in Enugu State, Nigeria.

Gunmen have kidnapped a Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Gerald Ohaeri along Ugwuogo-Nike-Opi expressway in Nsukka, Enugu State.

He was abducted on Saturday evening, November 30, 2024, while on his way back to Isienu, Nsukka parish from a function in Enugu.

It was gathered that the kidnappers disguised themselves as police operatives and operated at a checkpoint before whisking the priest away to an unknown destination.

According to repors, the kidnappers also shot at a windscreen of a Hilux, although the occupants were not kidnapped following the arrival of the deputy governor’s convoy.

“It was someone inside the hilux that shouted that the people we thought were policemen were actually kidnappers,” a source said.

Fr. Gerald is a lecturer at the Spiritan School of Philosophy in Isienu, Nsukka.

The kidnapping of Rev. Fr. Gerald Ohaeri has raised concerns about the safety of clergy in Nigeria.

INTRODUCTION: Life is a battle. As children of Light, we often find ourselves in battle against forces of darkness, however, there are assurances in the scripture that as long as we remain in the light, we are winners all the time. May these prayers, grounded in God’s Word, strengthen our faith and equip us to stand upright in victory over all enemies in Jesus’ name.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Father, we thank You for assured victory, by delivering us from the hands of all our enemies in Jesus’ name Psa 34:17

The UK immigration tribunal ruled that Adegboyega should be returned to Nigeria, following investigations by The Telegraph that exposed misuse of funds by his church.

Adegboyega’s church was accused of financially exploiting its members, with some former members alleging that the church pressured them into donating large sums of money. The church was also accused of operating with a lack of transparency and failing to properly account for its finances.

Adegboyega had claimed that his deportation would breach his human rights, citing his right to a family life in the UK. However, the immigration tribunal rejected his appeal, ruling that he should be deported back to Nigeria.

Breaking Free from Expectations: Walking Your Own Path to Success

I listened to a podcast and there was a story of a boy whose parents told him that he can only be successful if he became a medical doctor.

He grew up and found he didn’t have the passion for the profession and told his parents, whom nearly suffered a heart attack out of disappointment; they then managed to convince him to become an attorney to save the ‘family pride’, which he accepted and trained and qualified as an attorney.

He has never worked for once as an attorney since qualifying, but he’s very financially successful because he chose to walk down the path he built for himself which were: build a business, invest in real estate, and invest in stocks.

Are you walking down the path you were taught? or the one you built? The one you built will take you to your desired destination quicker.

Pastor Adeboye Expresses Concern over Moral Decline and Signs of End Times

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has expressed concern over the arrest of one of the church’s pastors abroad for addressing an audience as “ladies and gentlemen.”

During the church’s monthly Thanksgiving service at the RCCG Throne of Grace in Lagos on Sunday, December 1, Adeboye explained that the statement was considered discriminatory because it excluded other gender identities recognized in the country where the pastor was serving.

“The end is nearer than you think. Things are getting worse, and this is a wake-up call. One of my pastors abroad was arrested for simply addressing a gathering as ‘ladies and gentlemen,’” Adeboye said. “Some people reported him for discrimination, asking, ‘What about those who are neither ladies nor gentlemen?’”

Adeboye also shared another story that he found troubling, about a woman who referred to her dog as her husband. “I took him to the vet before coming. He doesn’t talk,” the woman reportedly said when asked about her spouse.

He warned that these incidents reflect a broader moral decline and serve as signs of the end times. “Those of you already in Christ, take this matter seriously. Do not let anyone weaken your stand. God is holy. Those still playing church—singing, clapping, and enjoying things without genuine commitment—remember, Jesus is coming back. The devil wants to harvest you, but you must not give him the opportunity. I want to see you in my Father’s house,” Adeboye urged.

Adeboye recently criticized certain fashion trends among church workers, including braided hair for men and false eyelashes and heavy makeup for women. Speaking at the RCCG’s 72nd annual convention in August, he expressed disappointment over these styles, making it clear they would no longer be allowed on RCCG altars.

LET US PRAY

Ephesians 4:14

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.

Don’t let your walk with God be dictated by what people say. You must know God for yourself and let your walk with Him be dependent on your personal relationship with Him. Once you start to relate with Him personally, it becomes difficult for anybody to deceive you because you know your God.

John 16:13. Get filled with the Holy Spirit, and you will know the truth of God’s word so much that it will be difficult to be deceived by false doctrines.
