Retired Anglican Bishop Kidnapped in Anambra State, Most Revd. Prof. Godwin Okpala Kidnapped in Umuchu

Retired Anglican Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Most Revd. Prof. Godwin Okpala, has been kidnapped in Umuchu, Anambra state. According to reports, the Archbishop was last seen on Friday when he embarked on a journey to Umuchu, accompanied by his driver.

The Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Rt. Rev. Ndubuisi Obi, has issued a prayer alert, urging intercessory prayers for the Archbishop’s safety and swift return. The relevant authorities have been contacted, and efforts are being made to ensure the Archbishop’s safe release.

The kidnapping has sparked widespread concern, with many calling for increased security measures in the region. The incident is the latest in a series of kidnappings and security breaches in Anambra state.

Sylvester Oromoni’s Mother, Rosemary, Passes Away Amidst Ongoing Investigation

Sylvester Oromoni’s mother has passed away

The passing of Rosemary Oromoni, Sylvester’s mother, is deeply tragic.  May her soul rest in peace, and may the family find strength during this difficult time.

Sylvester Oromoni was a Nigerian student who made national headlines after his death in December 2021. He was a 12-year-old student of Dowen College, a private boarding school in Lagos, Nigeria.

According to reports, Sylvester was bullied and beaten by his classmates, which led to his death. The incident sparked widespread outrage and calls for justice, with many Nigerians demanding that those responsible for his death be held accountable.

The Lagos State government shut down Dowen College indefinitely, and the police arrested several students and staff members in connection with Sylvester’s death. The case is still under investigation.

Sylvester’s death has raised concerns about bullying and student safety in Nigerian schools, and has led to calls for greater accountability and protection for students.

DAY 8: SOWING SEED OF DESTINY

INTRODUCTION:

It is an ordinance of God, that as long as this earth remains, the time to sow and reap will remain operational. Destiny is what God has predetermined a man to be and to become, in His Divine will. However, what you do and what you fail to do, are seeds sowed that largely determine your experience or harvest in the future.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Father, I thank you for opening our eyes to understand the principle of sowing and reaping in this kingdom in Jesus name.

2. Father, for every principle I have transgressed, let mercy reign over judgment in my life, in Jesus name. Mat7:8

3. Father, help me to be merciful unto others that I may continually enjoy your mercy in Jesus name. Jam2:13

4) Father, give me the grace to forgive others that I may receive forgiveness from you in Jesus name.

5) Father, help me not to sow the seed of injustice that I will not reap calamity. Pro22:8.

6) Father, help me to sow righteousness like Joseph, that I will reap greatness in Jesus name. Pro 11:18.

11) Father, don’t let me destroy my destiny by impatience like king Saul in Jesus name.

12) Father, build me and use me as you used David to destroy Goliath in Jesus name

Introduction: Let us intercede as people will begin journeying to the Redemption city for this year Holy Ghost Congress

1. Bless the Lord O my soul and all that is within me. Bless His Holy name. Psa 103: 1

2. Thank God for a new day and for the salvation of your soul

3. Let us bless the Lord. Truly; it has been of the LORD’S mercies that we were not consumed, because his compassions have not failed us. Lam 3:22 Psa 34:1

4. Father; thank you for your usual protection over your children in the past Congresses. Deuteronomy 31:6

5. Father, as your people travel for the Holy Ghost Congress, let your presence go with them in Jesus’ name. Exodus 33:14-15

6. As they travel along the way, cause their enemies to be as still as stones in Jesus’ name. Exodus 15:16

7. Father; guide and lead your people beside the still waters in Jesus’ name. Psalm 23:2

DAY 6: PRAYER MINISTRY

INTRODUCTION:

Prayer is communication between man and divinity. When prayer is effective it avails much. God wants to do many things on the earth today, but it can only be accomplished through the active prayer ministry of the churches. Through prayers we bring to pass the will of God on earth.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Father, thank you for instituting the ministry of prayers and teaching us how to pray in Jesus name. Ps. 100:4.

1. Father, thank you for who you are, the Almighty, the one who speak of a thing and they come into existence in Jesus name. Ps. 95:2-3.

2. Father, thank you for answering our prayers whenever we call upon you in Jesus name. Jer. 33:3.

3. Father, thank you because there is none like unto Thee, glorious in Holiness fearful in praises in Jesus name. Ex 15:11

4. The Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercy we thank you for saving us, in Jesus name. 1 Sam. 2:1-10, 1 Peter 1:1-3.

5. Father thank you for saving us and giving us your wisdom to know the truth. Thank you for the revelation of knowing you in Jesus name.

6. Father, please remove the spirit of pride and stubbornness in our life in Jesus name. Matt. 5:5.

7. Father, force us to remove all idols and be clean always in the name of Jesus Gen. 35:24

8. Father, let the gift of the spirit be made manifest in the body of Christ in the name of Jesus. 1 Tim. 4:14.

9. Father, as heaven bound Christians in the ministry, teach us to hate all you hate in Jesus name. Prov. 6:16-17..

10. Father, in the prayer ministry please teach us the virtue of faith and complete surrender to you in Jesus name. Heb. 11:6.

11. Father, plant in us the spirit of obedience like the Rechabites so as to be your peculiar treasure in Jesus name Ex. 19:5, Jer. 35:1-8.

12. Father, enlighten our heart with understanding that we may know you and grow everyday spiritually from glory to glory in Jesus name. 2 Pet. 3:18.

13. Father, empower the Pastors to preach the word of God without diluting it in Jesus name. 2 Tim. 4:2

14. Father, keep the Pastors blameless before you, raise them to truly be men and women after your own heart in Jesus name. Tit. 1:7.

15. Father empower the prayer ministry with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and impartation for kingdom assignment. Acts 2:1-4

A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Gerald Ohaeri, has been kidnapped by gunmen in Enugu State, Nigeria.

Gunmen have kidnapped a Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Gerald Ohaeri along Ugwuogo-Nike-Opi expressway in Nsukka, Enugu State.

He was abducted on Saturday evening, November 30, 2024, while on his way back to Isienu, Nsukka parish from a function in Enugu.

It was gathered that the kidnappers disguised themselves as police operatives and operated at a checkpoint before whisking the priest away to an unknown destination.

According to repors, the kidnappers also shot at a windscreen of a Hilux, although the occupants were not kidnapped following the arrival of the deputy governor’s convoy.

“It was someone inside the hilux that shouted that the people we thought were policemen were actually kidnappers,” a source said.

Fr. Gerald is a lecturer at the Spiritan School of Philosophy in Isienu, Nsukka.

The kidnapping of Rev. Fr. Gerald Ohaeri has raised concerns about the safety of clergy in Nigeria.

DAY 5: STANDING UPRIGHT IN VICTORY

BIBLE TEXT: Psalms 20:8, 16:6

INTRODUCTION: Life is a battle. As children of Light, we often find ourselves in battle against forces of darkness, however, there are assurances in the scripture that as long as we remain in the light, we are winners all the time. May these prayers, grounded in God’s Word, strengthen our faith and equip us to stand upright in victory over all enemies in Jesus’ name.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Father, we thank You for assured victory, by delivering us from the hands of all our enemies in Jesus’ name Psa 34:17

2. Father, strengthen us to stand upright in the face of our enemies, always trusting in Your power for victory in Jesus’ name. Isa 40:31

3. Father, cover us with Your protection so that no weapon formed against us shall prosper in Jesus’ name. Isa 54:17

4. Father, strengthen our faith in the truth over all adversaries in Jesus’ name. 1 John 5:4

5. Father, go before us in every battle and let Your presence bring us victory in Jesus’ name. Exo 14:14

10. Father, give us strength to endure trials and to emerge victorious in every battle in Jesus’ name. Jam 1:12

11. Father, intervene in our situation and scatter every enemy that rises against us in Jesus’ name. Psa 68:1

12. Father, help us to stand in Your victory, knowing that; You are our salvation and stronghold. Psa 27:1

13. Father, empower us to triumph over all evil and to stand as a testimony of Your goodness in Jesus’ name. Rom 12:21

14. Father, help us to remain stable and firm in our faith in You in Jesus’ name. 1 Cor 15:58

15. Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, we declare victory over all our enemies in Jesus’ name. Psa 44:5
