Hebrews_12-2: Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God
MEMORY VERSE: “And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad called the altar Ed: for it shall be a witness between us that the LORD is God” (Joshua 22:34).
TEXT: Joshua 22:1-34
Joshua had led Israel to subdue the land of Canaan. He had also shared the land by the west bank of Jordan to the nine and half tribes, including forty-eight cities and their suburbs for the Levites (Joshua 21:41). Every tribe had rest. The tribes of Reuben, Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh had also fulfilled their covenant with Moses to assist their brethren to conquer Canaan before they would return to their possession on the east of Jordan; they were thus released by Joshua. They returned, but the joy of conquest and separation from their brethren as they went back to their inheritance was soon threatened by reports that they had made another altar like the one in Shiloh. The diligent investigation of a team led by Phinehas the son of Eleazer, the priest, and the polite explanation of their intention averted a civil war in Israel. For many years of battles to conquer Canaan, the two and a half tribes left their families and possessions on the other side of Jordan. They demonstrated explicit faith in God’s preservation and His keeping power (2 Timothy 1:12). “And the land be subdued before the LORD: then afterward ye shall return, and be guiltless before the LORD, and before Israel; and this land shall be your possession before the LORD” (Numbers 32:22). They were faithful to their pledge made to Moses before the Lord. Present-day believers can learn from their conduct: one, the need for undertaking missionary endeavours in foreign lands before returning to their home bases. Two, brethren in established churches should support the planting of new churches, in reaching out to the unreached. This they can do by supplying manpower, materials and money. Three, believers must redeem their pledges and pay their vows, “When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed” (Ecclesiastes 5:4).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR DISENGAGED FAITHFUL WARRIORS
(Joshua 22:1-9; 1:12-18; 1 Samuel 12:14,15; 1 Thessalonians 2:10-12)
Joshua did not delay the return of the two and a half tribes to their possessions after they did exactly as they promised Moses. “But thy servants will pass over, every man armed for war, before the LORD to battle, as my lord saith” (Numbers 32:27). He disengaged them with praise and commendation for their faithfulness, encouragement to hold fast to God’s commandment and warnings against backsliding. He commended them thus: “…Ye have kept all that Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, and have obeyed my voice in all that I commanded you” (Joshua 22:2). He went further to admonish them to remain steadfast: “But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul” (Joshua 22:5). The admonition of Joshua to the two and a half tribes shed light on how they were to preserve themselves in perpetual victory, peace and joy in the Lord. One, they were to be diligent to understand and keep God’s commandments. Two, they were to love the Lord without any other rival in their hearts. Three, they were not to walk in their own will and way, but in God’s way. Four, they were to cleave unto the Lord. And five, to serve Him with all their heart, spirit, soul and body. These same principles will ensure present-day believers remain steadfast in serving God acceptably.
INDICTMENT AND INDIGNATION AGAINST AN APPEARANCE OF EVIL
The two and a half tribes departed and returned to their inheritance on the east of River Jordan. They realised that Jordan was a great divide between them and the other tribes. This was the basis of their decision to build a replica of the altar in Shiloh. “And when they came unto the borders of Jordan, that are in the land of Canaan, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh built there an altar by Jordan, a great altar to see to” (Joshua 22:10). This brought about an indictment from the other tribes, which is a formal charge or an accusation of a serious crime (of raising a rival altar like the divinely- approved one in Shiloh). It seemed to the two and a half tribes to be an act of rebellion to erect an unauthorised altar, adjudged to be a violation of divine guideline and a tilt towards disunity and apostasy. Their goodwill was misjudged by their brethren because it was made without consultation with Joshua and other elders. They knew the consequences of idolatry as revealed in the Ten Commandments. They also knew how an average Israelite would react to idols and anything of its resemblance. However, the other tribes were too hasty in judgment to have mobilised “…to go up to war against them” (Joshua 22:12). They had not done diligent and proper investigation before coming to such a hasty decision; their next step seemed to be a mere formality. Believers and leaders need to be patient and careful in handling sensitive matters, especially when life is involved. Indictments arise in the church: one, when scriptural truths are rejected; two, biblical doctrines on which the faith of God’s triumphant church is founded are discarded or watered down; three, when believers read books or listen to messages of false prophets and apostates whose words cannot lead a sinner to genuine repentance. Those who peddle such poisonous materials or ideas should be reported to the leadership of the church so as to keep the church pure. “It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles… To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus” (1 Corinthians 5:1,5). However, to forestall backsliding, rejection of sound doctrine and apostasy by future generations, Scripture truths should be preserved in books, videos, compact discs, audio tapes and websites. The prompt action against the appearance of evil by Israel is also commendable and should be a pattern for all saints of God. We must show indignation against unholy acts in the family, church, workplace and community. “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel. Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:6-9). But this must be done with wisdom and utmost caution.
INVESTIGATION AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION AMONG BRETHREN
Phinehas and ten princes were sent to investigate and resolve the supposition of idolatry by the tribes on the east of Jordan. The team had a mind-set to investigate. “And the children of Israel sent unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the half tribe of Manasseh, into the land of Gilead, Phinehas…” (Joshua 22:13). This agrees with God’s rule of peaceful appeal before declaring war (Deuteronomy 20:10). The choice of Phinehas to lead them is noteworthy against the backdrop that he gallantly upheld righteous judgment in the case of Baal-peor, which earned him commendation and a covenant of perpetual peace and an everlasting priesthood from God (Numbers 25:7-13). In appealing to the presumed backslidden tribes, the delegates rehearsed the past wrath of God upon the people even for the sin of a few or an individual (verses 17-20). Among these were the idolatry and immorality with the women of Moab that claimed twenty-four thousand warriors; Achan’s personal sin that turned God’s face away from the whole congregation of Israel and they fell before their enemies. The team gave sufficient reasons for their deep concern in the matter: one, they were stakeholders in keeping the entire nation at peace with God; two, it was their necessary defence by the law of self-preservation. If they failed to stop their perceived rebellion, the wrath of God may break upon the entire congregation; three, they extended further hand of fellowship to them, that if they feared insecurity on the east bank of Jordan, they should cross over and the rest tribes will adjust to give them inheritance in Canaan. Phinehas displayed real wisdom, which believers can emulate in persuading a backslider to return to the Lord. “Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother” (Matthew 18:15). In the church of the living God, we must follow similar Scripture-based approach when resolving personal differences by going to the person prayerfully. Or, when there are doctrinal teachings that have been compromised in any location; the facts must be established and the leadership of the church informed promptly (Acts 15:6). The response of the children of Reuben, the Gadites and half the tribe of Manasseh was unique. They said, “God forbid that we should rebel against the LORD, and turn this day from following the LORD, to build an altar for burnt offerings, for meat offerings, or for sacrifices, beside the altar of the LORD our God that is before his tabernacle” (Joshua 22:29). The soft answer and solemn defence of the accused tribes averted a civil war. The Bible says, “A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness” (Proverbs 15:1,2). They exalted the Lord in expression of their faith and resolved to obey the laws of God. They proved their unshaken integrity that they had no intention to sacrifice on any other altar except the one in Shiloh (Joshua 18:1). They called the altar “Ed” meaning testimony or witness that they are descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. It was to serve as a symbol of unity to remind their brethren that the dividing river does not change their faith, worship and commitment to the God of Israel. The ambassadors accepted their testimony and explanation. The faithful reports they sent back to Joshua and the remaining tribes satisfied the whole congregation and there was no further indictment. Believers should learn to respond to criticisms, accusations and allegations with meekness. There will be less arguments and friction in the families, Christian assemblies and organisations if the virtue of meekness is upheld. Unfortunately, many people are victims of false accusation, misrepresentation, misjudgment and injustice without anyone to give them fair hearing. True Christians are enjoined to be fair to others before passing judgment. “He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him” (Proverbs 18:13). We must also beware of the tragic impact of suspicion in any family or church. An assembly where suspicion is rife cannot get God’s best. Suspicion destroys the bonds of love, trust and confidence and sows hatred, fear, distrust and misgiving. The body of Christ must watch against false doctrine: it perverts and brings judgment upon rebels and leads the innocent to damnable errors. False doctrine is like air pollution that spreads beyond its immediate vicinity. The study reveals that even amongst the brethren, there can be misunderstanding, yet we must apply scripturally proven measures in resolving the issues. The possibility of falsehood creeping into the midst of believers is a present-day reality. Therefore, we must be very watchful having known the damage it can cause.
Questions for review:
1. What can believers learn from the two and a half tribes honouring their promise to support their brethren in conquering Canaan?
2. Mention some conditions essential for the believers’ joy and daily victory as revealed in our study.
3. What can cause accusation in the church today?
4. What steps should be taken to resolve (i) differences amongst brethren; (ii) issues relating to misrepresentation and misapplication of doctrinal truths?
5. What should be the attitude of believers who are accused falsely?
6. How dangerous is suspicion and false doctrine to the body of Christ?
7. How should a believer respond to wrong accusation?
Thank You Jesus,

“ Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.” (2 Corinthians 1:3-4 KJV)
One of the desires of God is to find people who will build a family name and not just come to church and sit. When we begin to grow in the things of God, we come to a point where an awesome responsibility comes upon our shoulders. When you become a leader in a place, you are not just like every other person, there are responsibilities that come with leadership. Often, people want to celebrate the glamour of leadership but very few are willing to face the challenges that go with leadership. Leadership is a call to responsibility. It is a call to an assignment, a call to be a pillar in the house. If a pillar is removed from a building, the building collapses.
God is looking for builders of the family name. God put you in that congregation to be a part of its mission. It is your church. Nothing happens by accident. There are many big and powerful churches all over the world, but God has planted you in a local assembly for a purpose. When God orders your steps into a particular local assembly where your destiny will be fulfilled, you will begin to grow in the things of God to the point that you will become a leader.
As a leader, you are expected to help others who will be drawn into the commission just as yourself, to become established. Do not constitute yourself into a caterpillar who will root people out of the church because of your attitude and behaviour.
The God of all comfort has comforted and helped you so that with the same comfort you received, that has kept you these years, you will be a source of comfort to help others.

Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from You. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward You. 2-Peter_1-4: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust
Revelation 3:11 (AMPC), “I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, so that no one may rob you and deprive you of your crown.”
The Bible clearly states in Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24, that healing belongs to us as believers. We never have to ask God for our healing to come, we simply have to thank Him for it, renew our minds to the truth that His healing power is already at work within us – flowing into our bodies as we believe and release that healing flow with our words of faith! The same principle holds true for every need we have. The full supply to answer and meet whatever we require for victory in this life, already exists in the indwelling Holy Spirit! It’s His power that is at work in us that does the impossible! 2 Peter 1:3 says, “as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,” We must hold fast to believing these truths that we have come to know and trust! According to Revelation 3:11, there is a possibility that the faith we have for this overcoming life of victory, can be stolen from us. Which is why we are instructed to hold fast to it! Philemon 1:6 tells us our faith is made effective as we acknowledge every good thing we have in Christ Jesus! That means the more we meditate on who we are in Christ, and what we have because we live and abide in Him – the more faith is produced and secured and activated in us. This is how we hold fast to it or remain in our position of being fully convinced of what Jesus purchased for us! Another crucial keyway for us to hold fast to our faith for victory, is to take a lesson from our father of the faith – Abraham. Romans 4:19 says Abraham was not weak in faith because he refused to consider the things in the natural that were shouting the word, “Impossible!” to his mind. He was promised that from his seed and Sarah’s womb – would come a lineage that would bless the nations of the earth! In the natural there was no hope for this! His own body was too old, and Sarah’s womb was barren. But Abraham refused to listen to his circumstances – no matter how loudly they screamed! Instead – he placed his full focus on what fed and strengthened and activated his faith – the Word of God! When we do the same – no lying devil will be able to steal our faith and cause what has already been promised to be taken away from us! Decide to have God’s Word speak louder than any opposing circumstance or troubling thought – and your faith will remain strong and produce exactly what God has already made yours to enjoy!

But every child carries talents God has put inside them.
Some children are quiet, but they observe deeply.
Some are always singing, drawing, or fixing things.
Some are natural leaders—even if they can’t sit still in class.
Every child has a spark. Your job is to notice it early.
Stop comparing your child to others.
Your neighbour’s child is not your standard.
Your child is not a mistake—they all carry unique messages.
They came with an assignment only they can fulfil.
Have you prayed for your children today?
Did you mention them by name?
Each one has a different calling, a different struggle, and a different need.
One may need boldness.
Another may need peace.
Another may need direction.
Your prayers are not small—they are spiritual investments.
So look again.
Watch closely.
Listen without judging.
Guide them gently.
One day that small gift you noticed will become a global solution.
If this speaks to you, share it.

HAPPY CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION TO ALL THE ANGELS OF THE WORLD.
MAY THEY ALL LIVE TO FULFILL THEIR DESTINY, BE CHANNELS OF BLESSINGS AND PRIDE TO THE WORLD AND FAMILIES! AMEN!

INTRODUCTION: The Believers’ Mandate—to go into all the world and make disciples of all nations— is central to the mission of every believer and the heart of the Church. For the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), this mandate is not just a command but a way of life. As RCCG looks forward to Vision 2032, the call to evangelize, disciple, and build the Kingdom of God takes on a renewed urgency and strategic focus.
UNDERSTANDING RCCG VISION 2032
The RCCG Vision 2032 is a comprehensive, bold plan set in place by the leadership to expand the Church globally, impact communities, and bring millions to Christ by 2032. This vision encompasses church planting, training, mission work, and social transformation, aiming to reach the unreached and bring at least 40 million of these into the RCCG parishes in Nigeria alone.
CONNECTING THE BELIEVERS’ MANDATE WITH RCCG VISION 2032
The Believers’ Mandate and RCCG Vision 2032 are intrinsically linked, as both are focused on fulfilling the Great Commission. The mandate to evangelize, baptize, and teach aligns perfectly with the vision’s goals to plant new churches, enlarge church attendance, train leaders, and create a global community of believers.
RCCG has set a goal of 40m membership in her Nigerian parishes by 2032. This vision emphasizes the urgency of evangelizing beyond borders and is a direct manifestation of the Believers’ Mandate to go and reach the nations.
PRACTICAL STEPS FOR RCCG MEMBERS IN FULFILLING THE BELIEVERS’ MANDATE AND VISION 2032 WITH URGENCY
1. Start from where you are with personal evangelism.
Speak Boldly and Kindly
Use your words to point people to Jesus (1 Pet. 3:15).
Acts 1:8 reveals to us four phases of fulfilling this urgent mandate.
A. In Jerusalem:
Jerusalem here symbolizes your immediate family members, i.e. your spouse, children, father, mother, brother, sister, neighbours, friends and in the community where you reside.
You don’t have to start from organizing big crusades and this will not cost you anything at all.
B. In Judea:
As the Lord helps you to win the souls of those whom God has made available to you at the Jerusalem stage, He expects you to go further in winning the souls of those at your place of work, state of residence, markets, villages and towns, in your profession or occupation etc. (Acts 10:1-8, 24-47)
C. In Samaria:
God also expects us to go further in taking the gospel of Christ to other locations within our country, other neighbouring countries, towns and cities. (Acts 8:5-8)
D. To the uttermost part of the earth:
This has to do with taking the gospel to other Nations and Continents of the earth through the Social Media platforms. (Mk. 15:16)
2. Go out
Engage in other forms of evangelism by being with the Church in one accord. Mk. 15:16
A. In small groups, and through community outreach.
B. Support the vision of church planting by actively participating in evangelistic and CSR initiatives.
3. Constant and fervent prayers.
a. Prayer is vital for the success of Vision 2032. Pray for more workers in the harvest field, for open doors in nations, and for the power of the Holy Spirit to move mightily in RCCG’s outreach efforts.
b. Pray for opportunities and open doors. Col. 4:3
c. Pray for power and boldness. Act 4:24-33.
d. Pray for the establishment of the converts. Gal. 4:19
4. Point People to Jesus.
a. Live Authentically. 1 Cor. 10:1
b. Share your testimonies. Jn. 9:7-9
c. Let your life shine with Christ’s love. Matt. 5:16
5. Point People to the Church. Lk. 14:23
A. Invite others to church.
B. Meet people’s needs and help others. Mk. 11:28, Psa. 34:18.
C. Be involved in House Fellowship and Home Cells. Acts 2:42.
D. Be a part of the church of planting. 2 Cor. 1:1, Gal. 1:1-2, Eph. 1:1.
CONCLUSION
The mandate is clear, and the agenda is straightforward: to rescue people from darkness by every possible means. As RCCG embraces Vision 2032, the Believers’ Mandate remains the driving force behind all that the Church does. Fulfilling this mandate involves obedience, sacrifice, unity, and a commitment to reaching the lost. Through Vision 2032, RCCG will not only increase its global reach but also make a lasting impact on nations and generations to come.
Let every believer, whether in Nigeria or abroad, be passionate and dedicated to fulfilling the Great Commission. The time is now to align with God’s eternal purpose and live out the Believers’ Mandate with zeal and urgency.
What excuse will you have for not being a part of this? These actions are achievable if you are willing to commit yourself to the grace of God in proclaiming His message. Be willing and then ask God for the grace and power as you take action now.
Acts 1:8 – “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth

“For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.” (Hebrews 4:15 KJV)
Jesus knows what you are going through. He is your High Priest. He is the intermediary between God and you. Your part is to believe in what He has done and not to start doing it again. Don’t reinvent the wheel. That is why we are called believers. All things are possible to him who believes. Believe the healing He gave to you through His death, burial, and resurrection. If you find God’s promise in the Bible, it is for you.
You are not a human doing, you are a human being. You cannot do what humans do if you are not first a human being. It is ‘being’ first. Being what God said you are, then you can do. If you do not first accept it, you cannot become it. It is not by struggling to do it to become it. You have to believe first. When God made man, He made him first in His image and after His likeness. In other words, since God is a Spirit, man was made a spirit.
Beloved, stop doing and start receiving. You are the righteousness of God in Christ. If you are a child of God who has received Christ into his heart, you are already holy. You are not going to be holy. The issue of heaven is settled.
The Bible says in Ephesians 2:5-6 (KJV), “Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” You are already seated. So why are you wondering whether you will go to heaven or not? Only those who do not have Christ will not go to heaven, at the sound of the trumpet.
If you are reading this and have not yet received Christ in your life, this is my invitation to you, to do so. It will be my greatest joy to lead you to Him so that you can begin to enjoy the newness of life and peace that only Jesus can give. This is the greatest day of your life. Say this short prayer;
Prayer of Salvation
Heavenly Father, I come to you today, acknowledging my sin and my need for a Saviour.
Lord Jesus, I believe that You came into this world for my sake, to pay the price I could not pay. I believe that You were crucified for my sins, buried, and on the third day, raised again to life for my justification.
Therefore, I receive You into my life, as my Lord and personal Saviour. I walk in the newness of life.
Thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving me. Amen.
If you prayed the Prayer of Salvation, please send us a message via email – trem@trem.org It will be our pleasure to help you on this new journey of faith. Heaven rejoices over you.

MEMORIZE: Jesus said unto him, if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Mark 9:23
READ:Luke 8:43-48
43 And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,
44 Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.
45 And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.
47 And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him and how she was healed immediately.
48 And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.
MESSAGE
I don’t believe in impossibilities. This is why, when I ask someone to do something, and that fellow says it is impossible, l move on immediately and get someone else to do it.
When we were building Redemption City, some people said it was impossible to build a house within seven days, but we did it. They also said the house would collapse soon, but it has been standing for over 40 years. Then, they said, “It’s a bungalow. A storey building will take months to build.” However, we built a storey building in 18 days. They moved on to say that it would soon collapse, but it is still standing over 30 years later. In those cases, what we simply did was find a way to double time. Workers were working on the construction site day and night. That way, what should have taken two days to accomplish only took one. With the help of the Holy Spirit, we were successful-that is what I call divine engineering. No matter how impossible something looks, if you have the Holy Spirit and are determined to get that thing done, there will always be a way.
Several years ago, I was in a faraway country to minister during a Holy Ghost Service. The venue that was used for the service was a rented property, so for me to have a place to stay and pray before the service, they had to bring a motorhome. As I stepped out of the motorhome to go for my ministration, and while the protocol officers were still trying to clear the way for me, a woman who had been barren for many years ran into the motorhome and sat on the seat I had just gotten up from. The protocol officers ran after her and took her out of the motorhome immediately, but the woman was not bothered because she believed she had gotten her miracle. She had faith that God would give her a miracle child if she could just sit in the motorhome, and she became pregnant that month!
The woman with the issue of blood in today’s Bible reading was determined enough to disregard all the obstacles that could have prevented her from touching the hem of Jesus’ garment. Sometimes, you will face obstacles in life; however, you must know that with God, nothing is impossible. Trust Him, and don’t give up; He will make a way where there seems to be no way, and you will testify.

I recall visiting the Head Bridge Market during the initial phase of its closure, standing in support of the authorities to ensure our society is free from fake drugs and counterfeit goods.
I did so with the hope that investigations would be carried out swiftly, and the market would be reopened promptly, especially to ease the suffering of small business owners already burdened by our current national economic challenges.
It is, therefore, deeply unfortunate to learn that shop owners are now being asked to pay ₦700,000 to reopen their stores.
Already, over 7 million Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) have collapsed in the past two years in Nigeria. Our MSME’s businesses are at a “we can’t breathe” stage, and the very system that should be offering them oxygen to support their breathing is instead suffocating them.
This level of insensitivity is both disturbing and uncaring. Let us prioritize compassion, economic recovery, and the survival of our small businesses at this critical time in our nation.
Surely, I am standing in support of the authorities to ensure our society is free from fake drugs and counterfeit goods. I did so with the hope that investigations would be carried out swiftly, and the market would be reopened promptly, especially to ease the suffering of small business owners already burdened by our current national economic challenges.
I want to appeal again to the relevant authorities: please review and drop this charge. Allow these businesses to reopen.
These shop owners have already endured prolonged closures, mounting unpaid bills, and economic strain. Adding further burdens to them and their families at this time is simply unjust and an economic sabotage.
Compassion must lie at the root of government action. –PO

Good morning, welcome to church this morning! I want to give all glory to God for the gift of life, it’s only the living that can come to church to worship as we’ve done this morning; I want to appreciate our father in the Lord, the Assistant Pastor in Charge of Region and Pastor in Charge of our province for this opportunity to bring the word this morning, thank you sir; and I want to thank the pastorate too for this opportunity, I have not and I’m not going to take it for granted, praise God!
We want to continue from where we stopped last week, we are still in the Explosive Growth Drive, it’s a month of emphasis on evangelism in the Redeemed Christian Church of God worldwide, so we are continuing from where we stopped as it were last week. The message last week was ‘Go and Make Disciples of All Nations’, and if I can recall in just one or two minutes, we heard about what Jesus Christ came to do, how He came to save and all the other things He came to do, so this morning we are going to continue from there and I’ve titled the short exhortation this morning as “Make Them Christ-like”.
After saving them, God says ‘make them disciples’, which is also the same thing as ‘make them like little Christ’, ‘make them Christ-like’, and our major text this morning is from Matthew 28:18-20, another one from 1 Timothy 2: 3-4; “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, all power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen”, praise God!
1Timothy 2: 3-4, for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior: 4who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
We’ve been told time and time again that we have been saved to save; Christ made it so clear in that word He spoke in Matthew 28 that we should go and make disciples of all nations, not just of Nigeria alone but of all nations, our Jerusalem and the entire world, praise God! It’s always been said that a man’s last word are very important to be taken note of, although for our Lord Jesus Christ we cannot separate His last words from the things He lived and died for, the last words He spoke was in that Matthew 28 and the instruction He gave to the disciples was that they should also go and make disciples of others; He was saying that as it were, I have made you disciples, you go and make others disciples as well, go and replicate what I have done for you, so His last words are very –
The very substance of His incarnation, of His life, His ministry and His death before He ascended, salvation of men, our reconciliation back to God, restoration of our dominion on earth and our liberty from Satan and His works are God’s purpose for us, incidentally the Open Heavens of this morning talked about fulfilling purpose, one of our purposes is to make disciples of all nations in addition to other things that God has asked us to do, He has made it clear in His word that He wants us to do that as well.
And when you compare the last words of Christ in Matthew and Mark, there’s a little difference between the two of them, let’s look at the one in Mark as well so that we can compare quickly; Mark 16: 15 – 18, and He said unto them, go ye unto the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover, praise God!
The major difference between what He said in Mark and Matthew was that it was only in Matthew that He said ‘make disciples of them’, He deliberately asked us to make disciples of others in the Book of Matthew, He doesn’t only want sinners to be saved, He wants the saved to become learners and followers of the life, message and mandate of Christ, praise God!
So what Vision 2032 is asking us to do is to just go out and just do that which Christ asked us to do when He was about to ascend to heaven, and He’s our example for carrying out these mandates, He didn’t just stop at preaching the gospel of the kingdom to the multitudes and sinners, He went further by gathering disciples unto Himself for something more.
Let’s look at Mark 3:13-14, Jesus gathered disciples unto Himself for the purpose of – and He goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto Him whom He would: and they came to Him.14And He ordained twelve, that they should be with Him, and that He might send them forth to preach. So He ordained them to be with Him and then so that He can send them forth to preach.
So He gave us as it were a model, so what He’s asking us to do is also that maybe we don’t necessarily need to gather 12 people but we can make them one after the other disciples; we don’t need to gather 12 people as He did, but it can be one at a time, it could be just like Pastor told us last Sunday, your gateman, your driver, the colleague at work, even your boss – disciple one at a time, and if you can do more than one at a time, fantastic, but He has asked us to do at least one at a time, so He didn’t just stop at preaching, He molded something for us.
Mark 4:33 – 34, Jesus molded us the example we need to follow, and with many such parables spake He the word unto them, as they were able to hear it. 34But without a parable spake He not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to His disciples, praise God! So there’s a grade – there’s a multitude and there are the disciples; He speaks in parable to the multitude, then when He gets to the inner circle He explains it to the disciples, praise the Lord! But the model for us is that we need to not just bring people to salvation but we need to disciple them, after bringing them to Christ we need to go after them, we need to find out how they are doing, their spiritual health should be our concern, praise the Lord!
We need to ensure that they grow in grace; let’s look at Luke 10: 1-3, after these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before His face into every city and place, whither He Himself would come. 2Therefore said unto them, the harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He would send forth laborers to His harvests. 3Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves, praise God!
So what He did was that He expanded them later to become 70 and they sent them two by two to go and preach to the nations around; so He had 70 disciples, then another closer set of 12; there are 70, there’s the 12, and at His ascension there were 120 of His disciples gathered in the upper room as they began the spread of the gospel, so they have since that time spreading the gospel and today we have just as we were told last week, I think 1.3 billion Christians all over the world, so they started from there – the 12, the 120, the 3,000 Peter brought in on the day of Pentecost and so on and so forth to what we have today, praise the Lord!
After He spoke to the multitudes, He had closer encounters with disciples and they observed Him in what He’s doing.
So what are the effects of discipleship? What are the effects, what do we gain, what is the effect when we disciple people? It helps multiply the workforce of God; Matthew 9:35-38, and Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. 36But when He saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. 37Then saith unto His disciples, the harvest is truly plenteous, but the laborers are few; 38Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest, praise God!
So we are the laborers we are talking about here now, sent forth: it is not just pastors, we are workers in God’s vineyard, He has sent us out even when you are not yet trained as a worker in God’s house, by the reason that you are a born again Christian, you have been saved, you are supposed also to be a co-laborer with Him and that’s what the explosive growth drive is all about; we as saved Christians need to go out and save other Christians, bring them to the fold.
Jesus tested the effectiveness of discipleship in carrying out the mandate by sending disciples out two by two, (we read that earlier) and they returned with the same result as Jesus, the gospel was preached, the sick were healed, the lepers were cleansed, the captives were set free, that’s what they came back to tell Jesus, (we can note that down in Luke 10: 1-20), they came back with results, good results that yes we went about just like You did, just like You molded it for us; we preached the gospel, the sick were healed, the lepers were cleansed, the captives were set free, praise God! Those are the effects of discipleship, they were able to replicate what Jesus Christ did.
Another effect is that the many places Jesus could not physically reach, His disciples went there. There’s a limit to what one man can do but there’s a lot that 70 can do, 12 can do, this congregation can do, the entire Redeemed Christian Church can do, praise God! Our General Overseer cannot go to everywhere, our Pastor in Charge of Province and Assistant Pastor of Region cannot go to everywhere, those in the region 20 should go too; He’s relying on you, He’s relying on me to be those that would do this with Him so we can reach more areas. So where Jesus cannot physically go to, His disciples were able to go there, those 70 were sent to where Jesus – I’m sure in that three years of ministry was not able to go to, so making disciples can make us reach to more people.
Then via discipleship, Jesus was able to multiply His efforts through other men, therefore He covered more grounds, that’s what I’ve just said now; you can cover more grounds when you have people working with you, you can go to more places, more people, praise God! There are nooks and crannies of Lekki that our provincial Pastor cannot go to, your own neighborhood, several places – northeast, northwest, they said it’s a very vast area not to talk of Lagos, not to talk of Nigeria, praise God!
So God is relying on you, He’s relying on me to go to where He will not be able to take the tracts to, to go to where the pastors alone may not be able to go to, to go to where only the members of evangelism alone may not be able to go to, praise the Lord!
And then let us note also that Jesus Christ disciples when He was on earth were the ones that gathered in the upper room to move on with the mandate after His death in Acts 1: 8-14; it takes the truly committed to carry on with the work, praise God! If you just come to church on Sunday like this, enjoy the ambiance, enjoy the music, enjoy everything, you go home, you mind your business, you are not the truly committed; it’s only truly committed that can take it further and I pray that God will make you truly committed in Jesus name.
Jesus instructed the disciples to reach the world because they had been trained to do it, He trained them to do it, praise God! Part of what we are doing here especially when you now choose to go to the believer’s class to go and train as a worker is making you ready, training you for this purpose. Matthew 4:19, and he saith unto them, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men; so He trained them, they learned the character of Jesus Christ to become more effective, and that’s what we learn in the believer’s class, in the workers in training, even in church like this, in digging deep, faith clinic, Tuesdays, Thursdays, we learn more, we become more Christ-like and then we are able to commit the work to more people, praise the Lord!
In the ordinary life, people move from being a novice in a trade to becoming apprentice, from apprentice they become what some trade call journeymen, and after journeyman you become an expert, praise God! I was reading a book recently, it talks about the trade of carpentry and driving as examples of how you move from novice to expert; the novice is the one that just come in to the trade for the first time; He called Peter, they were fishermen, follow me, they were novices as at that time, then later they became apprentices, he and the others He started training them, learning.
Maybe we can relate with our everyday businesses like tailoring, like carpentry; they take the man to a senior person, please train this young man for us, he’s probably coming (maybe) from a village, from wherever as a novice, then he becomes an apprentice, maybe they can say he’ll be watching how the man is cutting the clothes, maybe tailoring, carpentry, watching how the man is doing things, he’s still an apprentice at that time; then he graduates to a stage where he becomes a journeyman where the master can just say okay you go and do that, he is training to a stage where he can trust him to go and make that furniture; the man will supervise him, he will check ‘have you measured, have you done this, have you done that’, but he knows that this particular guy has gotten to a stage where I can leave him to do some things, I can ask him to go and sew maybe he can do buba and sokoto for now, the ones that are not very complicated go and sew it let’s check, after you’ve cut it let me come and have a look, that is the journeyman, praise God! Then he becomes an expert where the master does can say okay this guy can do it, let him do it until he now is independent to go and do his own things, that is the way Jesus Christ trained His disciples.
The call is different from the commissioning; He called Peter, He called them, then later they became so good that they were now commissioned to go out and make disciples and that’s the way we should grow too in grace, we shouldn’t just remain as novices forever, and we should not be contented with being an apprentice also forever, and we should also not be satisfied with being journeymen, we need to move to the stage where we become experts, it’s a life-long thing that we need to do.
So we move from there, even in driving too, the first day you go to the driving school you are like a novice, later the man will allow you to handle the steering, that is like the stage of an apprentice, then he later takes you to the third mainland bridge, allows you to drive, just sits by your side until a time comes when you can go for your driving test, that’s the way you are becoming slowly an expert, praise God! So we have been saved to save, we need to do this, Jesus Christ has given us an example which we need to follow, praise the Lord!
Now how do we run with the mandate given to us by Christ? He is our perfect example, how did He carry out His own assignments so that we can have that as example for us? Matthew 4: 23-24, and Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of diseases among the people. 24And His fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with diverse diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those that were lunatic, and those that had a palsy, and he healed them, praise God!
So that is what He has asked us to go and do, the fact that you touch somebody and he does not receive healing the first time does not mean you should not try again; and who tells you that the healing might not come two weeks time or three weeks time, it might still come through even a medical doctor but maybe you are the one that started the process, so don’t let us be discouraged, He has given us a perfect example, we are to carry on in that example. Let’s look at Matthew 9: 35-38, and Jesus went about all the cities (just like we read earlier) and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people, (you can just leave it at that because that’s almost repeating what Matthew 4 said), so He went about preaching everywhere, so no one will be saved if you don’t preach, it was mentioned last week too, if we don’t preach, how will they hear the word?
So we need to preach, we need to talk to people, some of us are a bit reticent and I’m one of them too, I don’t like talking to strangers and I don’t want anybody to come and – I’ve had examples in the past, tried to distribute tracts, you will give to someone and he will just throw it back at you, we don’t like it, I don’t like it, but I’ve come to a stage that it doesn’t bother me again; in the past I feel bad, if you throw it back I’ll pick my thing up on the floor and go on, praise God!
The point is that if you don’t preach how will they hear? So we need to preach; just like it was mentioned to us last week also here, it doesn’t matter whether they abuse you, insult you or ignore you, just do your own, praise God! Sow the seed, you don’t know when it will germinate; so no one will be saved if you don’t preach, many will perish in darkness if you don’t preach, it’s our preaching that God uses to stir faith and repentance whereby others can now be saved. Romans 10:10-17, (let’s just look at Romans 10 first, then the other ones we can read when we get home) for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation; so we need to preach first, and preaching is not necessarily like what I’m doing here now, preaching is just like talking to somebody – talking to your colleague at work is preaching, your life can preach, in fact that’s the most effective one.
I remember one of our digging deeps recently, (I think) about three weeks ago somebody – a security man gave an example of their boss, they are in a team working as a team, the leader of the team happens to be a Christian and I’m going to use the word unfortunately a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, he didn’t set a good example; they gave funds to him to distribute among the members of the team and he was short changing them; the man that was giving this report was like his assistant and he didn’t like it, he felt embarrassed also being a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God as well as him, he was cheating his men, let me use the right word, he was actually cheating them, maybe they asked him to give them #10,000, he was given only two or whatever, (he didn’t mention the amount) but he was cheating them, but the sad part of it was that they moved him eventually, they now brought another person, another head who happens to be a Muslim and that one now gave them the right thing, he did the right thing, gave them the amount – #10,000 was #10,000, when the Christian was there he was short changing them, he was not just a Christian he was a born again Christian, not just a born Christian, a member of Redeemed Christian Church of God, that is embarrassing.
So we need to be careful, our life preaches and I’m sure he probably will go out with his church team on evangelism too distributing tracts, that man will probably go out because they know in that team that he was a Christian, not just a Christian, member of Redeemed Christian Church, so he tells them, he throws at their faces, don’t throw your Christianity at anybody’s face, let your life preach to them, praise God!
I know places where I’ve worked before, communities where people say ‘ah pastor’, they call people pastor because they say it to them; before you speak two three sentences ‘I’m so and so’, so they call them pastors, some do it in a derogatory manner and that’s also sad, they call you pastor in the workplace knowing that you are a very dishonest person, it’s not meant to raise you if you are doing it in a derogatory way, you don’t need to hide who you are but let them know on their own, praise the Lord!
It’s important that we do that, we need to be Christ-like, He went without preaching; God committed the messages to preach and the ministry of reconciling the world to Him, He committed it into the hands of all believers – all believers, not all pastors, not only the General Overseer, to all and I believe I’m talking to believers here now; the mandate came with a message to be preached, so He has committed the work to all believers. 2 Corinthians 5:17 – 20, the message has been committed to all believers, therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new. 18And all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given us the ministry of reconciliation; 19To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
So He has committed the work to us, believers, not necessarily church workers, not necessarily pastors, not necessarily senior members of the pastorate, He committed it to all believers, and the mandate came with a message to be preached and it lets us know also that if you do not preach, the provision that Jesus Christ made via His death and resurrection will be for nothing over the lives of countless people since they did not hear about it, that would not be our portion in Jesus name.
Our not preaching is like making Jesus Christ death to be in vain, and when I’m saying this I’m saying it to myself too; all through last week, at least I can say here now boldly that I’m not sure I preached to anybody, that’s the challenge for this week, talk to somebody, whoever. I remember Reverend Adegboye, (I don’t know whether you’ve heard about him before), he said when he was starting out he would be preaching to empty tables, practicing, preaching to the chairs in his dining room, ‘you must receive Christ, you must do this’, so when you get used to doing it, you are able to do it a bit more.
Just like Jesus, you must continue to run with the mission to get more people to hear the message of the gospel via multi-dimensional evangelistic efforts. Thank God for what we have now -;social media and everything, we can do a lot of things, we can preach a better way than when it was done in the past, Jesus preached to only one, He did one-on-one, the woman by the well, that was a one-on-one; He preached also to multitudes in Matthew 5: 1-12, (we can read that when we get home, we can note that) and He preached to a household, small groups, the household of Lazarus, the household of Zaccheus the tax collector; so it doesn’t matter, it could be one-on-one, it could be a large group, it could be multitudes, so don’t wait until they call you an evangelist before you start preaching, that’s what this is saying to us in effect, praise God! So you can preach to a household, you can do it as a house fellowship center, you can do it as we are doing now, you can then do a big evangelical meeting
Jesus also preached the gospel everywhere He found Himself – among family, friends, strangers, marketplaces, synagogues, workplaces, random places, He preached anywhere He finds the opportunity to do so. John 4:4, He met with the Samaritan woman and He saw it as an opportunity to preach, so what that means is that let’s take every opportunity we have as a chance to preach. Some of us most of the time and I also feel guilty of this one too, you will sit in a plane for six hours, Lagos to London with somebody, you will not utter one word, or if you utter one word you are talking (maybe) about Nigeria, how Nigeria is so bad, how somebody is not doing his work, you will not preach the gospel, six hours you are locked with that person, he cannot run away from you, in the plane you cannot just keep standing up and going back and forth they will say what is wrong with you, so the man has to sit and listen to what you have to say, praise God!
And the worst case is that he will say don’t disturb me but at least you will try, he can say don’t disturb me and you will just say sorry, just take this you can read it later or when you are free tell me so I can talk; he won’t say don’t disturb me for entire six hours now, he might want to be polite and say please I want to sleep, and after you’ll say so are you okay now, you’ve woken up, you are all right, can we talk now, we don’t do it, I don’t do it and I’m talking to myself now, maybe next time. God saves the person that will sit next to me, I will disturb him or her but if he says shut up I will shut up, in fact if he says shut up I will say why did you ask me to shut up; let’s do this, (I don’t want to use the word stubborn), let’s be a bit stubborn, if they are stubborn be stubborn too but be polite, very polite because that can also make your message negative.
So let’s do it more, some will sit with people for 14 hours 12 hours in the plane and they won’t say anything or be saying rubbish to them, they won’t even know that you’re a Christian; He preaches anywhere, so let’s preach wherever we find ourselves – strangers, whoever, members of our family.
Jesus also healed the sick and cast out devils using His authority to destroy the work of darkness, that is also part of our mandate, to pray for the sick and deliver the oppressed, don’t be afraid to pray for the sick, just like conviction to become Christian is not your duty, you are not the healer, once you pray in the name of Jesus Christ, believe God for healing for that person, and if you find that this one is – that does not disturb you from praying for the next person next time, do your own, you never know the day that the thing will work well for you, praise God!
So let’s pray for the sick and deliver the oppressed, He has asked us to do that; Luke 10: 17-20, and the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. 18And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. 19Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the powers of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits aresubject unto you, but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. So let us not be afraid to pray for people, when they bring the sick to you to come and pray for them, don’t worry, pray, do your own, at least you know how to pray, whether the thing now happens immediately or it does not happen, that’s not your real business as such, just pray, believe that God has heard you and He will hear you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
So what we are saying in effect as we conclude is that we have been given a mandate, let’s go out and do it and it does not matter that we are not formally trained as workers in the church, although it’s ideal to be trained, it’s ideal to go to believer’s class if you want to work for God to be properly trained because there are some things they tell us during the training just like I mentioned about being a novice to apprentice to journeynman, it makes you better, praise God!
I remember when I was not yet a trained worker, I can look back and see the difference between my life then and when I became a worker, it humbles you a bit especially for those of us who are already high in our careers, it makes you a little bit more humble. Thank God for CTL, in those days in my church in Ikeja, we wash the toilet ourselves and the toilets don’t have tiles, acme of those days; acme is now very much like this place but back then it was dead floor, the church auditorium too you have to clean it every Saturday in preparation for service on Sunday, those were the things we were taught to do.
I was a very senior person in my office at that time but I joined in doing it, it doesn’t matter whether the person sweeping next to me is my messenger in the office, we were doing it together gladly, I learned that, praise God! So it helps us a bit, I’m not saying those who don’t go for that training don’t know how to, I’m not saying you cannot preach, you can preach, you can do all sorts but it helps if you go for formal training too, it makes you a better person.
The most humbling yet terrifying truth is that Jesus is no more with us physically, though He’s present in and through His church, He wants us to do what He was doing through His church, so it depends, He trusts that we will continue with the vision and mission of the Father to bring all men back to Him; He trusts that you and I will carry on the mission, He’s not here physically, He’s with us, He lives in us, He gave us the Holy Spirit that lives in us but He has entrusted the work of reaching out to people to us, are we going to fail Him?
As we bow our heads to pray this morning, let’s begin to reflect, are you going to fail Jesus Christ, are you going to make His death on the cross of no effect, are we going to betray that trust because He’s trusting us to do this work, are we going to live up to the call of God for our lives? As we begin to pray this morning, make a personal reflection and make a decision too (if it’s possible) that from now on and I’m doing my own too, I’m going to ensure that I don’t betray this trust, I’m going to speak to those around me, whether they listen or not is not my business, I’m going to preach to them, I’m going to say it to them, I’m going to tell them about salvation, I’m going to tell them about the gospel; anytime I’m traveling with anybody whether in the plane, motor vehicle or anywhere that somebody is by my side, I’m going to tell him about Christ and I’m going to (like we said earlier) let my life preach to them, to my children, to my spouse, to my neighbors.
Pray this morning that God will grant you that grace so that you can be able to preach the gospel to those around you, but if you are here this morning and all we are saying you don’t even know this Jesus Christ yet as Lord and Savior your own case is a bit different, you need to come to Him this morning to first accept Him as Lord and Savior so you can join this group of those He has entrusted the work of gospel to, are you here this morning you want to receive Christ maybe that is because of you that this message has come…
[Altar call]
Heavenly Father we want to thank You again for the word You sent to us this morning; thank You for the explosive growth drive that is going on in our church at this time, we pray Lord Almighty as You’ve told us, we pray that we will not betray Your trust.
We pray Lord Almighty that as we go on in this week, especially this week, we will go and make disciples of all nations, we will preach to those and we’ll preach in season, we’ll preach out of season, we will not be tired, we will not be weary of doing this work in the mighty name of Jesus Christ; thank You heavenly Father, blessed be Your name King of glory, in Jesus name we prayed. \
If you don’t Know Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour and would like to accept him into your life as your personal Lord and Saviour, Please say this prayer:
Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from You. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward You. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that Your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send Your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your Will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
