My friend would have been alive today

RIP Koko

I believe my friend would have been alive today, if she had blocked her mum on all social media, change her phone number, give herself a 3 years target to get a better job, improved herself and get her own apartment. Go back to the village, tearfully apologize to her mum and hopeful she will forgive her.

Or

She could have shut her mum down as early as possible. Let her know how her subtle emotional blackmails and gas lightings were affecting her emotional and psychologically.

For 2 years I my friend kept telling me “My Mum is breaking my heart” and I didn’t know how to comfort her.

Many times I caught her sobbing quietly, holding unto her phone. I will walk up to her and say “Your Mum again?” She will nod her head.

Her mum wanted the best things of life, but is too lazy to get them for herself or why would she have to work for them when she has a pretty daughter.

And the mum is just 47 years old! Not as if she’s an old lady! She’s just 47 years old!

Her mum did not just call once in a day, she called her multiple times in a day, always telling her “How wish we had this, how I wish we had that”

“You don’t love you! You don’t care about me, if you do, you would have done this and that for me”

“Bring me to Lagos, let me enjoy what you are enjoying over there” Mama refused to believe that her daughter was squatting with friends.

Finally “If you don’t want to bring me to Lagos, come back to the village, let’s stay together, you don’t love, if I die, don’t come for burial…bla…bla…bla..”

December 2024, my friend finally decided to move back to the village to stay will her mum, hoping that will appease her, but it did not. She kept telling me “My Mum is depressed and it is weighing me down, I have tried everything I could to make her happy but it is not working. You know I am not a lazy girl, I just haven’t gotten the opportunity to get a better job to spoil my mum, I keep telling her to give me time, I will surprise her, I will spoil her silly, but she keeps asking me “When” I am honestly tired” she sobbed.

I think death was a relief for her, since being alive wasn’t good enough for her sweet mother, maybe her death will relieve her of the burden of having a daughter, that couldn’t live up to her expectations.

RIP Koko

Peace & Love! Amen

Thank You Jesus,

Salvation Prayer

If you don’t Know Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour and would like to accept him into your life as your personal Lord and Saviour, Please say this prayer:

Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from You. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward You. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that Your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send Your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your Will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
