Biblical Concept On Marriage

And Jesus said to them, “Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.” – Matthew 9:15

 
Let me start off with a question: What is more than exciting to an engaged couple and their loved ones than the arrival of their wedding day?

 
The moment the groom gets to see his bride for the first time, the reading of the vows, and their first embrace as one bring such a flood of love and completeness that often, even the groom sheds a tear. The purity and joy of the union is so powerful!
Ya’ know, Jesus is called a bridegroom, with us as His bride, many times in the Bible. This imagery is a perfect picture of the anticipation and eagerness that Jesus has for us—His bride!

 
Jesus longs for you to come to Him and to be united with Him. He is not distant, difficult, or unkind. He never numbers your faults and He will not focus on your mistakes. Jesus is waiting for you to see the love that He and Father God have for you!
When Jesus promised that nothing would ever separate us from the love of our Father, it was not based on our ability to earn it. Instead, it was based on the power of His love to break through every wall and every obstacle… just like a husband will always do for his wife!

 
Celebrate your relationship with Jesus, every day. I am praying, today, that you hold your marriage with Jesus and the Lord in your heart, and that you covet His heart just as He covets yours!
