Romans 8:11  “But  if  the  Spirit  of  him  that  raised  up  Jesus  from  the  dead  dwell  in  you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit  that  dwelleth  in  you.”

Christians  all  over  the  world  once  again  look  forward  to  celebrating  another  Easter  in festive  dispositions  and  nostalgic  fashion.  We are  enjoined  to celebrate Easter  in  light  of  our  stewardship  of  the  enabling  gifts  entrusted  on  us through  the  resurrection  and  ascension  of  Christ.

One  of  the  most  potent  and  invaluable  of  the  redemption  endowments  is  the  power  of resurrection.  Puntius Pilate declared, concerning his truth- inspired inscription on the cross of Jesus, “what is written is written”.

He was unapologetic about what he wrote even though the inscription was a contradiction to what the death of Jesus meant to the rulers of Israel.  John  19:21-22  “Then  said  the  chief  priests  of  the  Jews  to Pilate, Write  not,  The  King  of  the  Jews;  but  that  he  said,  I  am  King  of  the  Jews.  Pilate answered, what I have written I have written.”  The power of resurrection led Pilate to boldly  defend  the  inscription  that  rendered  the  entire  gamut  of  the  trial  and  execution of  Jesus  an  accomplished  warfare  and  a  confirmation  of  His  supernatural  godhead.

The  power  of  resurrection  places  a  stewardship  mandate  on  every  Christian.

Romans  8:1 1  puts  us  in  the  same  power  configuration  with  our  Lord  Jesus.  The power  that  raised  Him  can  do  the  following  and  many  more  in  the  lives  of  believers:

1. Dwell in us: The doctrine of “Interpenetration” is scripturally established in Acts 17:28; 1 Corinthians 3:23.
2. Raise us up: Ephesians 2:6. Do we steward our Christian faith as if we are doormats to be trampled upon by forces of darkness?
3. Quicken our mortal bodies:  Do we approach sacred matters with canal disposition?  Romans 8:6-8.

We  will  not  fail  in  our  stewardship  mandate,  in  Jesus  name.
