Father we bless Your Holy name

We appreciate You for the gift

Of yet another day. Glory, glory be to Your Holy name.

We confess our various sins this morning and ask that in Your loving kindness and abundant mercy, please forgive our iniquities and transgressions in Jesus Christ Name. Amen

 17 “For thus says the Lord:  you shall not see wind, nor shall you see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, so that you, your cattle and your animals may drink “

18 ” And this is a simple matter in the sight of the Lord; He will also deliver the Moabites into your hand “

Good morning everyone.

The passage above is about the three Kings, King of Israel, King of Judaism and the King of Edom going against the King of Moab who rebelled, refusing to follow protocols!

On their way they got to a point where there was no water to drink. We all know water means life.

As usual, being human, they thought that was their end.

2 kings 3:10

And the King of Israel said, “Alas! For the Lord has called these three Kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab. “

Brethren, we as Christians, children of the living God, we should know who to consult when all hopes are lost. The Lord will never forsake us in Jesus Christ name. Amen.

They were wise enough to consult a prophet, Elisha who was close by to rescue them, by way of inquiring of the Lord. 

Brethren these are really trying times! As if the pandemic is not enough to battle with, it has been kidnappings, banditry and rumours of war!

We have a living God that will see us through all these and we shall be victorious in the mighty name of Jesus.

Yes,

There shall be showers of blessings

This is the promise of God in Christ Jesus.

Yes

Though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death

We shall fear no evil

For the Lord is with us.
